I mean, in some ways you might even feel a tiny bit sorry for Lottie- imagine trying to live up to your sister when that sister is Kate Moss. There's two options, you can either just accept your sister is one of the most iconic supermodels of all time or you can try to compete. Lottie chose the latter and let's face it, most people are going to be on a losing battle if they try to compete with Kate Moss

And not only did she try to compete, she actually felt that Kate should have given her a big break, that Kate owed her something. Instead of being happy for her big sister on her wedding day, her and her mother seemed to enjoy their (totally imaginary) theory that Lottie stole the limelight off the bride. The nerve and sense of entitlement is just off the scale!

The jealousy and spite is unreal
And I bet Kate did all she could do help Lottie. KM always seems supportive of women, I don't know why her sister would be any different. Maybe Lottie just wasn't up to the exacting modelling standards - if she was you can bet agencies would be desperate for Kate Moss's sister if she showed even the slightest potential.
KM was lightening in a bottle. A one off. It must be hard being the 'plainer' sister, when you really aren't plain at all, just different.

It's been going on for a while, but it was never as bad as it is now.

Starting from about 2007 there were quite a few:
  • Peaches Geldof
  • Pixie Geldof
  • Daisy Lowe
  • Alice Dellal
  • Leah Wood
  • Mickey Sumner (Sting and Trudie Styler's daughter)
  • (I guess before them, Jade Jagger and Keith Richards' daughters would have counted?)
The only ones of the above that I thought were any good as models were one of the Richards girls (Theodora) and also Georgia May Jagger.
Both of those had stunning mothers. Jerry Hall - and Patti Hansen was and is a beauty.

Leah Wood seems quite likeable but agree not cut out for modelling

Does anyone remember that Agyness Deyn was everywhere for a short time in the 00s then seemed to disappear? What happened there? I thought she was overhyped.

It's great if Kate feels good about the way she looks. But she becomes meaningless to the world when she no longer looks like Kate Moss, it's the one thing she had going for her. I feel it might have been better for her to age like Brigitte Bardot or Keith Richards and to just own her lifestyle and past. Now she just looks like some lady who had work done. Unrecognizable and uninteresting.
Kate could have aged with wrinkles, jowls whatever and still looked fucking stunning. Because she is Kate Moss. Gifted with the most amazing face. Which would no doubt look amazing at every stage of life. As you say she is now a generic woman with work done. It is quite sad tbh as it would have been fascinating to see that lovely face age naturally.
Her choice obviously. And as long as she is happy. But still.

Meh - Bella doesn’t count. That’s not her actual face is it?! Paid for with shit tonnes of work. We could all look like that if we had our entire faces virtually reconstructed 😀

Looks like flaming Bella Hadid is the new face of Charlotte Tilbury. The girl is like herpes - you think it’s safe and then her mug pops up randomly.
I don't see the appeal of her. I dislike Charlotte Tilbury also - both the founder and the products. I received some as a gift and certainly wouldn't buy her products myself.

I think the 1990s and 2000s supermodels were just really, really beautiful.
And they were all very individual looking, so easy to tell apart - Linda was so different to Yasmeen was so different to Niki was so different to Karen was so different to Christy was so different to Naomi and so on.
Now they all just look like skinny blond clones.
The models who are women of colour look way, way better than the clones.

Did they have this many nepo babies in modelling in previous years? It seems everyone who is the child of a celebrity is now a model.
Nope. It was based on looks and ability back in the day. More looks than anything else, really.

Nowadays any famous daughter will do, even if she looks like the back of a bus.
---
A lot of Naomi's problems go back to her not knowing her father.
No one seems to know who that fucker is.

As a result, she has abandonment issues and she's the biggest drama queen going.
Any attention is good in her eyes - whether it's for her doing good or bad, doesn't matter. It's attentiont that counts.
I have a friend whose dad died when she was barely born and she's exactly the same - total attention hound, hugely high maintenance and would argue over two flies walking up a wall.
And all this "Chosen Family' schtick from Naomi is just more of it.
No wonder she never married. No man would have her.

It's such a shame Naomi has had so much work done on her face - work that she didn't even need..! Look at the outline of her face, it looks warped 😮

She's Naomi Campbell, why does she want to look like a Kardashian?!

Has there been any more tea on the Naomi/Linda fallout?

I was friends with Corrine Day's mum. She said Kate Moss was a bit dippy and not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I don't mean to sound harsh and I'm sure there are half siblings who are close but the absolute sense of entitlement from Lottie thinking Kate owes her something all because Kate's father got another woman pregnant

I didn’t know that about him, that’s so sad. Could have had it all with that face, money, etc - it just goes to show that it can’t always make you happy (and there is my very not philosophical tale of the day!)
Honestly I think being the offspring of famous parents must be a nightmare. Unless you’re as talented as them (which many aren’t), it would be awful living in the shadow of your famous parent or parents

oh, Lottie 🤣🤣

Just being over the top nosy here!! Lottie has that Estuary English accent, where she obv went to a posh school, but drops her ‘aitches’ for a bit of cred, like William and Harry, looool!

Anyway. Who paid for those fees? Kate? Is Peter (the father) wealthy or do they ALL suck off the Kate money tit? I remember reading back in the day that Kate pays for her mum (Linda’s) everything, which is fair enough, and also to some extent, her brother Nick. Linda was a bar maid so never earnt much.

I‘ve often wondered about Pete. The story goes that Kate was discovered because she and Nick were on a freebie trip “courtesy of Pete’s job as an executive for Pan Am” when she was discovered aged 14 by Whatshername from Storm Models. So if he was an exec and able to expense freebie far flung trips, must mean he did quite well. But Kate very much grew up in Working Class Croydon. Lottie grew up with every privilege it seems (talking non-model stuff here too). Wonder if Inge comes from Scandinavian money.

Ok, stalkery questions over!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Has Vogue ever done a ‘what’s inside my bag’, ‘beauty secrets’, ‘get ready/unready with me’, etc with someone who isn’t affiliated with a brand? I’d like to see one that isn’t just advertisement
