I believe it's the Environment Agency that do flood alerts. They are via text and area specific and I have a scale of seriousness. Some alerts are for information/ awareness rather than actual warnings.

I honestly wouldn’t know we don’t get them at all where I am.

i’m in wales and they had the welsh instructions first so you had to scroll down for english - which seems a pure choice imo.

Mine was very loud, I had my AirPods in full blast whilst cleaning and got such a shock I completely forgot this was happening.

Only an alarm and a message. Also didn’t block my screen or whatever it was meant to do. I opened my phone fine with it still on the screen
