They were last seen early hours of Tuesday morning on cctv after leaving their home. The landlord raised the alarm a few hours later after going to their home. That in itself sounds so weirdView attachment 3367761
It does indeed, how would they raise the alarm so soon, unless they found something in flat that concerned them and police don’t want to release that.
did they hand notice in because they knew they wouldn’t be back and didn’t want relatives to have any bills to pay.
It’s so strange poor women.

They text the landlady at 2.12am to say they wouldn’t be returning to the flat and then they disconnected their phones from the network.

That’s why she raised the alarm so early

They also did a recce of the bridge they disappeared nearby earlier in the day, apparently.

Regarding the sad case of the sisters, has anyone seen any references to employers or what they did for a living?

I've seen one article reference them wanting to buy a property and saving up to do so, their landlord has been mentioned and old neighbours but noone from their work, to say how were the last time they were in etc...

Which, I think is bizarre. Usually that's one of the key areas which get covered isn't it?

One worked in a coffee shop the other was a cleaner.

I thought from the start this was suicide and unfortunately the latest news seems to strongly point to that. Very sad situation.

I seen comments on the local papers that one of the sisters worked in Costa. Very sad and scary way to end their lives.

I remember someone went missing about 20 years ago in the same area and his body washed up a few months later further north.

So sad for the family, I hope they get closure.

I do wonder if there was a note left in the flat that made the landlord raise the alarm after receiving a message in the middle of the night.

Ahh thank you. I hadn't read anything which referenced it and it did make me wonder.

It's so sad, I hope the family gets some closure, sadly it doesn't sound like it'll be happy news but closure nonetheless.

We lost a family friend to the sea about 15 years ago, and he was at sea for maybe three weeks or so before his body was taken ashore again. It was obviously devastating but at least his family and friends had closure.

It's the not knowing at this point, isn't it. You feel its not good, you know it's probably not good, but you don't KNOW it's not. If that makes any sense?

If it’s not suicide all I can think is they wanted to disappear while making it look like they were dead. Hence the recce of the bridge and messaging the landlord at such an odd time, almost as if they wanted to arouse suspicion/raise the alarm.

It’s all very sad 😞 I lost a friend to drowning (accident) and I can’t imagine anyone wanting to end their life that way

GFM page for a drug dealer whose has gone missing it’s an absolute joke the world has gone mad. Social media frenzy creating attention for absolute rum bags.
feel for his family but it’s their sons actions that have lead to this.
This Is spot on 👍🏻
GFM needs tight regulations I have never donated a £ Since Jemscam

It gets weirder and weirder, doesn't it? The story is getting more attention from the nationals now it seems.

Yeah, it's interesting that this article makes a point of mentioning there's a CCTV blindspot around where they went missing.

They walked down a narrow footpath between 2 busy road bridges, the footpath will have no cctv but the bridges and the other side of the fence that runs along the footpath path will all be well covered by cctv.

They walked along a stretch of the river that's only about 300 yards with main road bridges either side of it. The only thing down there is a boat club house.

The mouth of the river is controlled by a busy industrial harbour and they would have noticed any small boats etc not having permission to be in the area....this is the river, the thin strip of green along the right of the photo is the path but would have been covered in thick ice and snow that week.

Can't understand how they would disappear from the area without having ended up in the river and swept away with the strong currents unfortunately.

Sadly I think this was clearly a deliberate act by them and I don’t think there is anything sinister about their disappearance

Yes, I know the area too and can't imagine there's any way they could've disappeared other than by going into the water, intentionally or accidentally.

Like you say, there's plenty of CCTV nearby so even if they were trying to disappear in a 'blind spot', they'd have been picked up on it again somewhere else. It's all very sad.

I can’t work out how the landlord knew they were missing. Why the family haven’t come over to UK from Hungary and why they left their phones etc at home?

There’s a missing piece in this puzzle as to why they left home at 2am to walk in that area on ice paths near a river which was pretty cold/frozen
I read on TikTok that the Landlord is a female friend of theirs so maybe they had mentioned something prior or caused concern previously.
The late hour of the text and then being uncontactable would be a red flag straight away if it was one of my friends. She might not of had contact information for friends or work.
Might be someone who’s a true crime fan!

The amount of times you read a story like this and someone hasn’t reported something for days and it’s too late, at least they acted quickly.

It does seem to me that they planned to go into the river together sadly ☹

Yeah, I think it’s unlikely they managed to disappear - just the outside chance option, stranger things have happened.

I think they are almost certainly in the water unfortunately though, their triplet must be absolutely bereft.
