Yeah, looks like he was over to a do a drug deal. Yet they are also trying to get the crowd who found Jay Slater and the media involved. Saw these posts too, I have spoilered due to the TW.
I think the family really need to be advised to stop posting on social media. And they seem to be contradicting each other a lot with last sightings etc

His family have lost the run of themselves and need to leave it to the police now. The FB group is crazy. Showing photos of the Dad finding two fellas in Jonny Smith’s apartment where the family have clearly just punched one of them.
The whole group - Jonny, John, Dan, Jim - seem like a bunch of dealer druggies and John has pissed off the wrong person.
Seen a number of comments/posts saying Jonny Smith is a rapist and beats every girlfriend he’s had. Obvs not fussy about who his ‘friends’ are.
His family need answers (and a body) but playing it out on social media with Ash Mac with her big wooden spoon stirring is madness.

Loads of comments on the FB group egging the family on to beat these two men up until they get answers. The FB group needs closed down.

Its clear as day it was a drug run and he got offed. Hundreds of bodies in the mountains id imagine
It’s shocking carrying on really. Lots being deleted on the page now but as just a spectator it’s great to watch and read. I know a man is missing but I’m hardly going to feel sorry for someone caught up in a drug run gone wrong
Yes, and no doubt his family have laughed and cheered when others have been offed judging by their general behaviour.
I’m sure when and if they find his body he’ll be “Our perfect angel who never done a thing wrong in his life” though.
The first post I saw was his ex saying how dangerous his life was and that’s why she’s worried. She then edited that out when the story got bigger.

Her and Jonny were last with him he was at their apartment. I think that Jonny confirmed that. Now they’ve gone to Madrid.

I’ve read that. But then they also said that the last they saw of John was when his hire car was pulled over by Spanish police and searched for drugs (also something dto do with an ATM but can’t remember specifics). Have seen nothing from the family confirming if that happened or not.
The way the family are getting on, that girl saw him being murdered and helped hide the body.
