So what I’m hearing is he did let her know at the exact time what’s happening, and YES in my opinion I would put my fiancé above a bleeping running event what do you even mean. At the time his timer stopped she was behind him so no turning around would be needed but okay 😂 And from her Instagram and strava she is indeed doing what people said she would and hinting that Jake is the reason she didn’t get her pb or do better than she wanted (ignoring the fact she went on about not having a time)
Agree with this so much! She was behind so would have had to run past, there's no way I could do that even if my husband told me to run on!!

Also - this may be an unpopular opinion because I'm not super serious about running, running to complete races not get times! - but I cannot understand why they wouldn't run together! She was going on about how special it was that she was running it with the love of her life but they were just at different points of the same course! I'm the slower one in my relationship so it's easy for me to say, but we always run together! I tell him he can run ahead but he never will, because 1) it's so special to do it together and 2) you're there for eachother in case anything happens!

Also sorry guys but she says she’s “never” doing the London marathon again… like every thing else she says who calls BS ahaha??. She will be doing it again next year for another AD, I honestly would bet money on that 😂

I honestly think there might have been an injury but in her eyes it was end of the world etc… we all know if she can excuse it for her time

Not being funny but she obviously stopped? Her predicted time at the beginning of the race was 3hrs28 mins so she obviously stopped to see Jake as she was 20 mins slower than that? Also he tracker stopped just after his too.

You get assigned pens/waves based on your predicted times etc, you don’t choose where you start & you can’t move them. It’s highly highly unlikely that you’d be assigned the same wave, even if you put the same time down.

I’m sorry but the story Molly posted of Misha literally running across and In front of a bunch of people to hug her is just so ridiculous 🙄

Nah sorry, I stand by what I said after reading this completely. She is a right fool for not stopping and getting to him in my opinion. This isn’t just a little toe injury or anything.

I agree. It would have been completely different if he was significantly behind her.. also the way she keeps mentioning it in reference to her time just doesn’t sit right with me.

Exactly! She literally said “a few miles behind”, and from the tracker that I was watching she was not far from at all when his movement stopped, it was not hard to get to him.
I also don’t think you can use politeness as a reason either because she had no problem running in front of people to get to her friends or crouching in the middle of people running so I don’t think turning and running back a few miles on the edges would have phased her tbh.
She is constantly using it as an excuse for her time, it’s just icky.

I don’t know what tracker you were watching? It did not stop at all when his stopped? I was literally flicking between them because I couldn’t work out if it was glitching, hers was going the WHOLE time, yes it slowed down a tiny bit. But she absolutely did not STOP or go back and see him…

100% he’s actually amazing for continuing on! Like absolute fair play to him, he should be very proud of himself

it doesnt add up, Jake claims he was physically passed on in the ambulance for 1.5 hours, yet the paramedics just freely let him continue to run to the finish? He seems well at the end happily posing for photos too

As for Misha first claiming she walked a lot of last part, then sharing her splits which don't look like walking pace at all .... either tell the truth or stick to the same plausible excuse

I hate defending them tbh aha but I think he actually passed out and woke up shortly after in a wheelchair, I would imagine the paramedics then kept him for that long for observation, then after that he was probably deemed okay.
I imagine he ego ran, crashed out and got dehydrated or heat stroke and then needed to recover and then could continue if he wanted to after a period of observation.
HOWEVER, I agree with the Misha bit, she found out what happened to Jake and continued going at a run just not a sprint. She’s selfish in my opinion.

She would of slowed down eventually whatever, heat, undertraining, underfuelling or something unrelated to Jake.

Have all her other marathons been paced by someone else?

I highly doubt she doesn't plan on doing one again, especially if Jake wants to, she will be signing up with him

Tbf to Misha she probably didn't hear from him until he was feeling better. It's not like he'd have rang her when he was collapsed at the roadside. So he was no doubt feeling more himself and told her to carry on. Good on him for continuing on and finishing!!

In terms of her pacing from someone who’s ran them and understands pacing, it just looks like she slowed down toward the end- probably as it was a warm day etc, stopped the odd seconds to hug friends/family, extremely common but she wouldn’t have stopped fully at all

She also had a couple of random really fast splits before and after the incident, so she clearly was still trying and not completely “given up” like she says
