Anyone who is saying that they would have stopped the marathon to be with him is deluding themselves and underestimating the amount of training that goes into it to just stop. I’ve said it before and agree with you Jake would not have wanted her to stop!!!!!
To be fair she has no job so it’s not that hard to run a marathon really - she can train as much as she wants and whenever she wants and doesn’t need to fit it around a 9-5 and kids and whatever else so it’s not as impressive as a regular person ngl
Have you looked at his posts? He continued because he’d raised a great amount of money for a charity and wanted to see it through and finish the marathon. He’ll have done months of training and he’ll have put pressure on himself to see it through. I don’t like Misha and she’s done a lot of questionable things but I don’t blame her for finishing.
I think she is an impressive runner for sure! however, I think anyone could be if they had zero responsibilities in life and all they had in their life was running. Someone who has a job and/or a family and trains for and completes a marathon is far more impressive to me than someone who doesn’t have anything else in life to do except train for a marathon tbh.
Not meaning to stick up for her, but its the London Marathon ffs. You can’t just go and find and support them, even more so as a runner yourself. I had 0 phone signal the entire day when I ran it, and she’s said he’d called her, but what was she meant to do just turn around and run back to him?
