Nah my boyfriend and i (8years together) have always done separate family Christmas as our families are based opposite ends of UK, and it's not possible to do 'two in one day/split the day' and not fair to make older family members travel 5-6h to meet in the middle for the Christmas weekend. I go home he goes home, and we spend time with our respective families before reuniting.

I agree with her view point here, Christmas isn't about travelling between houses, or being away from your family, so if doing separate Christmases is more realistic then I say that's good!

I hate the phrase skinny fat , it’s possibly one of the most triggering phrases for someone who may have an eating disorder.
