I’ve joked about people before being “the first woman ever to be pregnant” but she literally goes on like she is.

The way she announced it as well was so incredibly insulting to people who actually struggle for years with fertility issues. Like ‘we’ve been trying for a while’ when they’d laterally only been together for a year or so? She has absolutely no idea. She gives out major spoilt princess vibes, I’m very much looking forward to seeing how she copes with a screaming newborn

Seven years it took my husband and I to conceive. We ended up going to a fertility specialist and had costly tests to find out I wasn't ovulating. Thankfully I only had to take clomid to help me ovulate and I fell pregnant on the 3rd month. My pregnancy was very difficult as my daughter has a rare syndrome so lots of tests and hospital stays. She really doesn't realise how insulting she is when she states how hard they tried, that they had to consider ivf after a couple of months! For years I had negative pregnancy tests, i tracked every symptom and became obsessed with trying everything and anything to get pregnant, I watched relatives and friends have babies, spent nights crying myself to sleep, I tried to hold it together at every bloody baby shower/gender reveal wondering when it was going to be my turn. She absolutely didn't have to go through any of that and to make out like she really struggled is the biggest middle finger ever.The way she announced it as well was so incredibly insulting to people who actually struggle for years with fertility issues. I truly hope she reads this thread and sees your post and it finally filters into her thick skull that she hasn’t actually struggled with anything and she is in fact just a massive wick.
She won’t…like all the other reality stars who seem to think infertility/egg freezing is a way to stay relevant and get more column inches, they genuinely think they’ve struggled and that they’re ‘trailblazing’ by then taking money to talk about their ‘struggles’ it’s insulting to anyone that’s genuinely struggled and felt the heart ache of struggling to/not being able to conceive and these vacuous airheads use it for perceived clout
I know if you go private you can pay for IVF regardless of whether you’ve tried for a week or 10 years but as many above have said to go down the Lauren Goodman route and claim infertility and magically get pregnant so quickly is taking the piss somewhat with women who have genuinely struggled.
Me and my husband tried and sadly had no luck in getting pregnant after a number of years (I couldn’t face ivf personally) so decided childfree was ok for us but maybe she should have a chat with real couples who struggled to see what it really looks like.

Sending love. We also tried for years. We did enquire about IVF but as my husband had a child 20 years ago we didn’t qualify on the NHS. We enquired about IVF and they basically told us to have £25k+ available for a 6-8% chance of conceiving (higher, and more expensive, if we used donor sperm/eggs which just wasn’t a choice we wanted to make) so after much sole searching we too decided the childless life is for us and am ok with that, but it doesn’t have boil my piss seeing these dickheads banging on about how hard it’s been for them.
It’s like Sophie Kasaei doing the media rounds about her infertility. Yet the reality was she was trying for less than a year.
Vicky Pattison and her egg freezing is another one, trying to get a tv gig on n the back of it. They’re shameless
I actually think it’s really unethical that private clinics will allow couples that have been together for 3 minutes to have IVF,
Also, factor in that a round of IVF can take 2-3 months if you are fully down-regging etc, it’s just insane that she was doing this so early in a fresh relationship with someone who already has ducked off a very young child.
I just CANNOT with any of these holes that infer fertility struggle when they’ve been together/been trying for less than a year. It took us 6 years to have our oldest via IVF - at least 2 years was initially trying/tests, trying clomid, etc before we went private for IVF which took 6 attempts. It was a rotten, desperate, lonely time and they are really making a mockery of what is a genuine struggle.
I am so grateful we got there in the end and I’m so sorry for those up thread that had to make difficult decisions/come to terms with a different route in life.
