To be fair to him, it does seem like he really cares for his daughter. Maybe (and maybe is doing a lot of heavy lifting here) a baby might mean they both stop acting like teenagers from the local am-dram society. For Megan, it doesn mean he's now tied to her, which might take the edge off her insecurity.

I think he seems genuinely sweet when he's with his daughter and he always seems to try and make her volleyball matches etc, but bringing a baby into their relationship is a recipe for disaster.
