I mean I'm not a fan by any means, but should her career have stalled because she had a quick snog with a married man? Doesn't look like his career is affected either. Why should she get backlash if he doesn't?

We have no proof of anything else happening as we just saw the snog in papped pictures.
The narrative seems to have settled on it being a quick drunken kiss but we saw they were looking very cozy earlier in the night with Maura resting her head on his shoulder and they shared a private room 'till 6 AM were I doubt they were just talking. I definitely think there was something going on with them all night. I wouldn't be surprised if it came out they had something going in since I'm a Celeb wrapped. Bare in mind this is not Maura's first time messing around with a married man.
Whether it should affect her career is a different question. I'd say mostly no but then Maura has built her career on the image of a being a "girls girl" progressive feminist that publicly shames the men who have (allegedly) cheated on or treated her badly when in reality she's one of the most problematic people to emerge from Love Island in this regard. I can't help but feel a small sense of poetic justice this was turned on it's head at least for a short time.

Alexander Demetriou. He was her pro on Dancing on Ice. She was alleged to be having an affair with him when she was a contestant on the show and this was causing the breakdown of his marriage with Carlotta Edwards who was also a pro on the show. According to the tabloids it caused quite a rift behind the scenes on the show, apparently Maura and Carlotta had to be kept apart constantly for fear they'd get physical with each other even at the wrap party.
Most people at the time (including myself) didn't take this seriously and it was just typical made up tabloid gossip but then but as the UK went lockdown Alexander was papped sneaking out of Maura's flat trying to hide his face. Maura took to twitter to deny any of this was true and her sister went on Irish tele to say the photos were not real but for those of us that was following the story it now seemed like there may have been something to it after all. It wasn't a huge surprise when Alex announced he and Carlotta had split. Eventually he gave a 'tell all' interview to The Sun, he denied he and Maura had an affair but Carlotta and all their mutual friends were convinced they were and he had to shout at her daily that there was nothing going om between him and Maura. He did however admit it was him sneaking out of Maura's flat and they'd communicate and meet up in secret so Carlotta wouldn't. Personally I'm not sure I buy nothing physical was going on between them but even if we accept his version of events I'd still say he was being unfaithful. Many celebs have been labelled as cheats for less.

I usually stay off this thread because I know Maura and like her. I can’t help agree about the weight loss. She looked so much healthier and stunning before I do hope she’s okay
