It’s 6 months then you can take a extra 4 months after that if you want, which equals 10 months & you can use your holidays that you didn’t take on ML, to delay your time to come back to work
Agreed! Maternity leave is a lot of work... I don't think the member was trying to discredit that... I took the point as Martina was not in work for that time and shouldn't get the extra pay like those who were actually in work during the pandemic
Exactly.
No the point I'm making is It's not a year off relaxing (for most of us). It's an incredibly tough year adjusting to motherhood / new baby. I just hate when people dismiss maternity leave as a year off - it's an incredibly hard and rewarding year for most women and we have to go through half of it with zero pay

Obviously you have your “priorities” all wrong, you should be taking, a leaf out of Martina’s lifestyle & spend the year or in her case the last two, getting up, with a full face of make up, have the tan on, meet the girls for lunch, not to mention the laundry being sent out to be washed, get advice from Sarah LOUISE on styling ur house & relax in the evening with a glass of wine

The reason why you find it hard is because you are up probably all night with the baby, who won’t sleep , crying to be fed & has a dirty nappy. Then you have to still get up in the morning, clean the house, do washing, make dinner & maybe look after other kids. You are what’s know as a GOOD MOTHER.
But our Martina uses her ML, to spend all day making her face up & putting on her new dresses for Instagram
