It baffles me the infatuation he’s got with this man

and the texts between them are odd - they’re arguing because Marcus is turning up to the guy’s house drunk but the guy sends him kisses ‘don’t come mine again x’ and then Marcus pipes up with oh your house is a crack den and the other guy calls him a knob. That’s it - and tbh if Marcus hadn’t have gone for the crack den comment I suspect the guy would have still been friends with him - to me, if you were falling out with someone you wouldn't send them kisses? Obviously there could be more to it, there probably is, just a v odd friendship tho

The kisses may have been accidental - my partner had 2 texts from his brother this morning and he showed me them because he'd put 3 kisses on the end of them both and said he bet they were because he was on autopilot from how he text other people that's what it turned out to be as his brother is also messaging a girl he likes

I’m going back to calling out his mother… my daughter is only two so I can’t relate to having an adult child but I just couldn’t sit back and let my child do this whatever age they were. Surely she could stage some kind of intervention, it just seems like she is fed up of his bullshit as well

Part of me wonders in a horrific sick way if this at least partially was a ploy to get people to sign that petition (or is it a go fund me?) of his mother’s to get people‘s attention on it. The choice to go to the bridge when he’s scared of heights - macabre but surely if you wanted to off yourself it wouldn’t be using a method you’re shit scared of!

Another one who finds the comment about pulling the wool over the eyes interesting in the context he’s used it because they’re basically accusing him of lying right? Either in the sense of ‘oh I’m fine send me home’ or in ‘I’m not fine I need to be here’ - but then surely if it was the former and he was suicidal/talked down they would’ve sectioned him… and the comment about ‘what if it was someone good at blagging’… hhhmmm

I highly doubt he’s autistic - I think he has been fed this narrative by his manipulative mother for them to financially benefit . The nature versus nurture argument lights up in my brain when I think if Marcus and his alleged autism.

He is clearly romanticising but very much like the way we all do over our first love , first person we felt a connection with- this male gave him attention and Marcus had clearly not had that before and immediately presumed the guy loved him for being so attentive. To be fair , the guy was probably off his chops, and an extrovert who thrived on attention off anyone.

Something intimate could have happened , but this Stephen was in some world that involved drugs and alcohol .These scenarios are very complex. I’ve been in these worlds, ‘straight’ people do cross lines , but then hop back onto being straight when the dust has settled . It’s not right , but it happens ten and plenty.

Marcus is young and not lived , he’s loooking at the situation all wrong , but I would say we have all done the same when young or met that person we really fancy , and they’re simply not into us. I must add though , it is not ok to mislead so many people over a Suicide attempt. That is not good

this is a really interesting POV I’ve never considered him not being autistic tbh, is there anything in particular that makes you think he’s not? The obsession with this guy and his mood swings and inability to stick to something, I thought they were autistic traits but I’m not very informed on the situation tbh

Too much effort I guess. I have an autistic child myself and even though he's still a little child for now I couldn't imagine me or his father not stepping in a long time before if he was behaving like Marcus. It is hard work having an autistic child I get that but that's just the hand life deals us with sometimes and it's our basic purpose in life to protect our kids regardless of how many times they mess up or lash out.

I just find him disingenuous and fake.

A few months ago he noticed that Kirk Norcross was following him (for his memes) and a day or so later he had one of these turns where he kept saying he wanted to kill himself. It caught Kirk’s attention and Kirk got in touch with him and they exchanged numbers etc. The next day Marcus posted screenshots of their text message conversation whilst he went back to to his usual posting of content such as eating McDonald’s or posting memes. No sign of him wanting to kill himself the night before or him struggling with his mental health.

Given that Kirk has experienced suicide with his father and is obviously still grieving over that tragedy I just found it tasteless and amounting to nothing more than attention seeking rather than someone who is trying to navigate their way through these thoughts and feelings.

Exactly this! He does it all for the attention. If he kills himself, how will he know how everyone reacted?
