Oh my god the comments on her latest Instagram video all about the free kitchen… how defensive she gets when people ask for clarity on it being a freebie for advertising. She really doesn’t like it and genuinely thinks she is above other Instagrammers.. she states it’s not really gifted as she is doing work (I use that term loosely) for a product. But it’s not an ad she states as she isn’t paid - as in n cash. FFS give it a break!
Oh my gosh the comment above re flogging kids on SM - but her own kids aren’t allowed screens (dubious about that claim!)?! That’s a great way of putting it! You can sell your kids, but you don’t approve of SM and screens for your kids?? Make it make sense..
She really needs to learn what constitutes an ad and what gifted really means. She constantly advertises her friends or family’s businesses both here and in France, but doesn’t mark them as an ad. She claims it’s because they’re friends/family but that’s not right. She is ADVERTISING them simply by tagging them. It makes me so cross that she constantly gets away with it!

This comment really nails it for me, especially the bit about sacrificing her children's privacy. She makes a big deal about screens but shared info about her kid's potty training? How's Fleur going to feel about that when she's older? Ah Manon, vous êtes une grande hypocrite! (I said it in French so it's automatically classier...)

Total snob. She definitely gives the impression that France and all things French, including hosting ‘like a French’ 🙄 which doesn’t translate well. Quite frankly she’s nauseating.

Content creation as she puts it. Nahh - just selling yourself for money. Like you say above, do it for yourself, but not your children. That’s wrong. That’s akin to pimping them out. Oh no, but it’s okay as it’s what her mum and dad did with their farming business! (Yea at home between your own garden and walls, pulling your weight - versus filming your kids and putting them online for all and sundry - for money! - and for god knows what type of people, sorry) - not the same at all..

Work for free 85% of the time?!? Yeah ok! That so called “organic” content is chock full of ads/gifts or call it what you will. How good she is to us!

And flogging every element of not only her life, but that of her kids. Sleep training now.. give it a rest! Husband has some sense to stay out of most of it, but you have to wonder if he really wants the inside of their (his?£) house shared with strangers on the interred? Not sure I would be up for it if my partner did that “job” of instaflogging..

I bet he's pleased to get a free kitchen , I'm getting my tiny kitchen redone atm and it's so expensive (and I'm doing it cheaply, relatively) I wonder what kind of return the brand get on gifting her? I can't imagine that much?

No idea - though I do not like how or why these companies, well known or not, gift to these people, and then charge a fortune to everyone else.. free publicity and that. I begrudge paying over the odds for things whereby brands have gifted to these grifters! Benefit - YOU! Hope your kitchen isn’t too costly!

The sofa reel is weird - talking about it like it's a person "I sit on her" and prancing about in sheer pyjamas??

French aesthetic? What boring and beige? God all the ads now coming - I think you are right, she’s Probably had a rollicking for her failure to disclose, and so now yes it will seem like all are ads. Which they were before of course - just hidden!

That is cringe that sofa advert - and again using the kids. Nice touch! Free sofa if you film yourself and your kids!

the absolute nose dive this woman has taken over the past couple of years is pretty shocking. WTF happened Manon.

she went from a very likeable GBBO contestant/blogger to full on obnoxious influencer.

If the husband hasn’t encouraged the is behaviour or even made it worse, at best he tolerates it.

but I’m getting the vibe that he’s very happy for his wife to show herself off, their kids and their big house. He seems like he’s image conscious. As a couple they seem to be that way in my opinion anyway.

what’s with everything being French? Manon has lived in the UK most of her adult life. It’s hosting like a French here, French kitchen there, French Lingerie etc etc. Her whole schtick is being French and it’s a bit tired when it’s a decade+ down the line. I’m from Ireland originally, moved to England at 19. I don’t routinely call my cooking Irish, or make it my brand. The Yse lingerie she promotes is poly and made in Morocco

What exactly is a French kitchen anyway? It’s being provided by the least French sounding company I’ve come across? Does Thomas James in Cheshire have strong links to France that I’m unaware of?

it’s coming across as incredibly tired and stale and just a bit… weird? You’ve lived in the UK most your adult life.. your husband is from here, your kids are being brought up here…? You haven’t lived in France since your teens Manon? I think it’s fine to just call yourself a Londoner at this point..? There are ample French cooks and influencers actually yano, in France.

I can believe she’s feeling put out about lack of ads and I can believe ASA have confronted her over it. I reported it and I’ve seen others ask about ads in her comments. Transparency is important. I get the impression that if she was less concerned with keeping up a facade, she’d be happier to be open and honest about her gifts and ads. Even the company providing her kitchen, I’m willing to bet it’s part gifted because of her in-laws’ potential business relationship. (Her husband’s family own a furniture shop in Macclesfield I believe. Thomas James is based in Wimslow).

If she is so confused about what is an ad and what is paid and what is gifted I bet she isn’t completing her tax return correctly to declare all of this.

More ads - white stuff, and that sleep company. Though of course the baby sleep training one is not declared as an ad - again. ASA we go.. if you want to play, play by the rules. Bloody annoys me. Sponging so and so.

Exactly this - re the kitchen company - it was my exact thought too once I looked up the company. How else would she have links to up there? All those bloody furniture ads though that she posted for the in-laws shop, they were so blatant. Do they think we’re stupid? ASA is there for this very reason.
