Obviously English is not her first language, but I do wish she'd get someone to proofread her writing. Surely her husband could do it? I teach English as a foreign language and this takes 2 minutes to do
She should ask Nikki. Sounds like the perfect job for a bestie aka manager 😇

I bet she can’t handle any corrections from her husband, and I also bet he’d rather sleep on the couch for the rest of his life than proofread a single piece of his wife’s precious literature 😅.

Wouldn't it be great if she used her not inconsiderable public profile to say, lobby the government on UPFs or the fact that people eat them because they can't afford anything else, rather than to just try to get free tit from brands?

Actually, I've just concluded that she must be a bit thick with the way she goes on about trolling and shaming every time she is challenged.

That would indeed be great. Yet to be able to do that, she'd first have to grasp the bigger picture, and based on her replies in her Substack comment section, she clearly doesn’t have the intellectual capacity for it. All she seems capable of is judging other parents from her moral high horse while somehow feeling entitled to preach messages nobody asked her to spread in the first place.

It’s the exact same pattern as the whole “I don’t do screens” nonsense. She seems to think that having a large following automatically turns her into some kind of sanctimonious awareness guru. All she does is massively oversimplify complex issues into smug black-and-white takes. And the moment people challenge her arguments, she abandons the actual discussion and starts lashing out with personal attacks because, ultimately, she has nothing insightful to say. Worse, she’s showing a really unpleasant side of her character.

She may mean well, but maybe shilling clothes and pizza ovens is the only thing she’s actually qualified for...

I thought the video where she’s serving her 2yo sea bass fillets showed how completely out of touch she is. Yes it’s a lovely home cooked meal, but how many 2 yos are actually going to eat that? And how many people can afford to make it part of their weekly shop? She’s got no understanding about the reasons why people feed their kids upfs.
agree with you, but I guess her demographic is the comfortably off yummy mummy who can afford to buy organic and fresh. If she’s “catering” to anyone else with this content then she’s seriously tone deaf. I don’t think its aimed at anyone who is struggling financially.

With all the replies to challenging comments I’ve read from her, I believe she’s genuinely incapable of switching perspectives and putting herself in other people’s shoes.

I remember last summer a woman commented in French that the constant PR travel content was getting out of hand. Her response was that, just like any employed person gets paid leave, she gets paid holidays too in the form of trips and perks for her family. No, Manon, it is not normal for the average employee to be gifted five-figure luxury stays for a family of four six times a year.

And during a week in which she promoted stuff worth at least €3,000, she replied to my comment saying she’s uncomfortable promoting “luxury brands” because that’s supposedly not her and her husband’s lifestyle. Well, in my world, a € 200 Sézane summer dress you wear three times a year absolutely is luxury.

In her world, she’s successful because she works hard and made the right choices. And then there’s the peasants who are apparently just too stupid to organise themselves properly and therefore too poor to afford a decent sea bass... too bad for them 🤷‍♀️

I'm still twitching at the idea of boiling asparagus for 20 minutes....

I hate the narrative that UPF is what makes everyone large. I'm large because I bleeping love food and eating. I eat little no to no UPFs and make pretty much everything from scratch including my own bread.

The comments on the UPF blog are the gift that just keeps giving, and her defensive replies are so ridiculous. She really doesn't understand the difference between trolling and challenging. If she wishes she could do more then why doesn't she?

And of course she never misses an opportunity to have a pop at screens. She really thinks it's worse to let your kids watch a bit of Bluey on the iPad than feature their faces non-stop on Instagram just to get free tit!

Does <PR Aff> means it's another freebie?

I've just reported the FB and IG accounts to the ASA. Here's a link if anyone else is also sufficiently irked by the brazen ignoring of the law.

I don't know but I do know it's another freebie holiday for Manon et famille! And I don't know why she covers up Fleur's face in her Stories but shows her quite clearly in posts.

If it is a freebie then she's clearly not complying with the legislation as she doesn't make it clear that she's in effect advertising for them.

The form takes 5 minutes to fill in and we can live in hope they might help her to focus her mind on the legalities.

I’ve unfollowed - yet another free holiday that’s undeclared and I’ve realised I’m not sure what I actually get from her account anymore. The recipes and food content are so few and far between these days compared with all the freebies!

Not before submitting a complaint on ASA of course!

I know it's tangential but I used to be a huge Bake Off fan in its BBC1 days. I've followed a few contestants on social media including Nancy B (promotes her own stuff, don't think I've ever seen her shill a freebie), Selasi (same) and Martha (has received stuff but makes it very clear that it's been gifted and tags her posts appropriately).
