And she did marry quick and pop the kids out quick! Not surprised, if in love and as a bonus the man is well off, quick get a ring on it!

Yes she seems very old fashioned with that my man isn’t domesticated crap.. I’d be embarrassed. But then it fits her “I’m a perfect wife and mother of 2 babies” narrative.

The way she calls her 4 year old a toddler.. okay! Probably counts her age in weeks, one of those mums! You don’t get extra points for having 2 babies, you can admit the older one is now a child - it’s not a bad thing, y know?!

And the bloody undies on show all the time, haha - have commenters in her videos remarked on it?! Haha! Love it! Would love to see that! What her argumentative response is!

I love how she’ll diligently respond to comments about her undies but mentioning her showing off weight loss? Ignored. Asking for the name of a brand she doesn’t collabs with? Ignored.

Eg she posted a video of herself wearing oversized PJs in a “GRWM on Blue Monday” back in Jan, which she was quick to stress, were too big and were for pregnancy. A few people asked where they were from. Manon didn’t respond.

A quick google lens will show that they are most likely orchard moon rose PJs, which cost a whopping £290. I’m guessing Manon doesn’t have a collab with them, and doesn’t want to risk alienating people with her crazy expensive PJs. Note, she was happy to list all the other products she used because, I’m assuming, they are collabs.

Another vid, people asked about her jeans and she was happy to tag sezanne repeatedly. Why? Because Sezanne send her a ton of PR stuff and she wants to keep those freebies going.

It’s so disingenuous and frustrating.

Anyone know why she her house is listed as a flat on Rightmove? I’m certain she introduced it as a townhouse..

Also… £1.75 mil with a leasehold 😰😰😰 the London property market is cooked.

If anyone wants to follow a French instagrammer who bakes/cooks…

I’d strongly recommend ainsleydurose. I think she’s American who moved to Paris and then married a French man.

She’s very down to earth. Super humble. She rewears clothing and it’s not all pr.

She’s got a tiny little Parisian flat but she is very appreciative of it.

She a Cordon Bleu Pastry chef, so actually qualified, unlike Manon. She’s truly passionate about baking and cooking.

She isn’t about soulless consumption or “lifestyle” either. Her content is about little day trips she takes outside of Paris, she’s really open and honest (she’s shown the absolute car crash that is her closet!)

I honestly love her content. She has sponsored amazing links, but she’s always been pretty upfront and clear about what’s affiliated and what isn’t.

I absolutely adore that she sources so much of her cookware from a flea market. She truly doesn’t not give AF about chasing those Le Creseut collabs, unlike Manon, who seems allergic to anything non Le Creseut. I remember her saying she always dreamed about Le Creuset but thought she’d have to get married before she could own some. A weird thing to aspire to, which probably says a lot about Manon.

Ugh, what a thing to say. She'll go full Nara Smith next. Though I strongly suspect Nara is taking the piss with her posts a lot of the time, while Manon would be super serious.

I don’t think Nara is you know! She mentioned the whole voice thing was because she videoed herself groggy and just out of bed and apparently people really liked it.

Interesting though, a lot of comments under Manon’s post saying something similar, they like her voice/accent.

I find it a bit sad because I used to like her and find her quite genuine, but she just seems so inauthentic and stepford-y these last couple of years.
All of the gifted hotels and items make me feel a bit ill too, the way she presents her life as something we should all be achieving without recognising the privileges that put her in this position.

Also if my husband hadn't been able to cook (or at least willing to learn) we wouldn't have made it past a third date.

She’s so smug! I used to really like her account but now she’s just any other influencer. Head to toe Sézane (looks lovely but the quality is shocking, just in case anyone thinks it’s super aspirational! They’ve just got great marketing).

I also find it super cringe that her kids will start school with some of the parents or kids having seen her saunter round in her underwear. Kids can be mean and she’s not doing hers any favours.

I think you’ve pretty much articulated my feelings with Manon.

She’s never been self aware in that way, and I think it’s become worse since she married a wealthy banker. I’ve no doubt she earns a good income herself, but realistically it’s Wells Fargo money that funds the £1.75mil house in Clapham.

She moved to London age 19 to au pair for about I year before going to uni IIRC, because she wanted to learn English. I left home to move overseas too, and it’s pretty difficult, mentally, if you don’t have some sort of financial safety net, which I assume Manon did have.

She studied economics at uni and then moved back to London. She had a job in tech as a software project manager, and I think it must’ve been pretty lucrative for her. She mentioned how she was able to take risks with her blogging/influencing as though it was some sort of brave thing she did - but she came from money and was able to get a good job with help from her degree, all pretty privileged if you ask me.

Then there’s the confidence to actually put yourself forward for stuff like GBBO, and to take risks at all. Manon has mentioned growing up in a loving supportive family. Sad to say, this is a privilege too. Coming from someone who didn’t have that.

I’ve done pretty well for myself and came from much humbler origins than Manon. I’d be the first person to point out that I got here 50% luck, 50% my own choices/devisions/hard work.

I get the sense Manon thinks, I worked hard and I’m super proud… but I do think she forgets the luck and privilege that has gone into it.

Just saw this comment on her kidfluencing substack post and she really doesn't get how data manipulation works, does she?

I think her first job out of university wouldn’t have a great well paid job to be honest - most aren’t. Even in London. I think she just likes to make it sound like she had some high flying professional career before she “took the big risks” to start blogging and instagramming, so people can’t say she is privileged and comes from money/married money . I think she just got lucky meeting mr wells fargo so early in in her time in London. Netted him and winner winner. I mean I don’t doubt she loves him and that.

She does have a very high sense of self confidence and yes it borders on cocky and aggressive in my view. All her posts have an undercurrent of “I’m better than you” and she herself in replies does always come over as defensive and a superiority complex. I’m a great mum, I’m a great wife, I’m fit, I’m slim, everything is said or shown to blow her own trumpet.

Oh she’s so arrogant for sure. Smug as anything and would eat herself if she could. She was a lot more likeable before she was a proper influencer.

I do think the perceived arrogance stems from being French. They have a different way of being as opposed to us British who have a tendency to apologise for simply existing and any showing off is quickly stamped on and seen as braggy and unacceptable. That being said she definitely knows which side her bread is buttered on and treads a delicate path between French baker and wholesome country girl and pampered London housewife. I do wonder whether as hubby climbs the corporate ladder whether the undies pics will have to go and it’s hands down guaranteed that 5 - 10 years from now they will be living in Surrey.

Walter is back - excellent comparison there! Her latest instagram post - hot in London so she wears cowboy boots? (Or whatever they’re called). Odd choice but there you go! Agree re the French thing, but I’d say her arrogance is becoming due to ££ now. More so that just being French. She’s been able to get to the good life due to her husband’s backing, can’t doubt that.
And last nights dinner - just mince and veg with tomato sauce. And we need to know her dear children adored it, how great she is at cooking for them and the recipe? Sorry this is just stuff my mam used to chuck in a pot when not sure what to do and fridge is empty. Hey - a touch of dried herbs (sorry herbed de Provence) and voila, it’s a plat typique from France?!

Oh I’m so glad there’s a thread for her now, I’ve been finding her irritating for a while. I wondered the same thing about her “townhouse” being a leasehold flat which seems odd. I wonder if there’s a basement flat below it? The kitchen seems quite high up.

I find it odd she keeps advertising Dyson given their stance on brexit. Doesn’t feel very in-keeping with her vibe.

she seems very pleased with herself and her husband doesn’t she?!

The boots first made an appearance a couple of weeks ago - she must be getting paid for promoting them as she wears them with everything!

I think she's just the kind of person who will advertise whatever regardless of ethics tbh
