yes because we all have the disposable income to spend on *proper* straw hats
Have you tried selling your lives and those of your children on the internet to the highest bidder?
That way all of your holidays, furniture, clothes and prams are sent for free leaving more of your income for good quality straw hats!

None of that valentines post is a good ad for anything, her cutting into the steak looks tough, he doesn't seem like he wants to be there and has 0 idea what to do and hasn't made any effort anyway buying the food or thinking of a menu, so in what way is that inspiring. Why didn't she just cook for him "as a french" as usual?
I thought the steak looked overdone too and surely "a French" would want it bleu? Her husband is starting to get such a look of a quarter-zip fleece and red-trouser wearing local Tory councillor about him isn't he?

I just could not enjoy my date night with hubby - knowing my children are with a virtual stranger aka babysitter. A strange country too though thats maybe me as I don’t trust the vetting process.

I thought the whole feeding six toddlers post was so fake and smug. Isn't it normal to feed your kids' friends and don't most normal parents cook something rather than ordering a box of hot wings and a few kebabs? Every mum I knew when mine were young had "school friends" recipes that were going to go over well with most. All you want to do is make something familiar so every child feels comfortable and confident to eat well and feel welcomed. Of course, being a French, she has to outdo mere normal parents but I was happy my daughter got pasta and pesto followed by a yoghurt 7 times out of 10, because it was about having fun with friends, not the maman showing off for her social media.

She’s so disingenuous about ads! Saying that she re-shared something about her sofa and didn’t get paid to do it.. yes, perhaps not for that specific story? However you still got paid for an ad at the end of May cos it’s on your grid.. and probably also got the sofa for free? People are right to call you out on it if they feel you aren’t being honest!

It’s the same with the kitchen. She was tying herself in knots in the comments saying she wasn’t being paid for the ‘ad’ — no, but you’re getting a kitchen for free 🤣 that’s the same as being paid £30k in my book.
she’s not an idiot. She’s being wilfully obtuse and talking in word salad to try and save face.

what on earth does this block of text even mean? Sounds like she’s saying, I love these products I get for free guys, honest.

how hasn’t ASA warned her about this? If she’s sharing a story which basically admits to breaking their guidelines. An advert when it’s reshared, must still be labelled as an ad. Because the content is still advertising.

**the ASA (via the CAP Code) treats them just like any other advertising content. That means you must make it immediately obvious that it’s an ad—even if you’re just reposting something.**

Manon isn’t an idiot, and her husband has a Cambridge degree. So I refuse to believe they aren’t capable of reading the guidelines and following them.

so I’ll be reporting this exact story, because this is mind boggling to me that she’s being this openly deceptive and then coming onto her stories to insist it’s fine. The gaslighting, Lord.

it feels like the Manon I had a girl crush on in 2019 is so far removed from her current self. That Manon wasn’t a fraction as arrogant as this one. Imagine happily posting to your followers all of that! Acting above the rules and shrugging it off because you like your sofa so it’s grand. The cognitive dissonance? Arrogance?

wtf happened Manon?

Really? Not the new London townhouse and the endless free grifts gifts and holidays?

View attachment 3784382
This must be the most delusional thing I've seen this woman say.

Sitting in her 1 million £ new London townhouse with her elite university graduate husband, leaving for gifted holiday every month, having a huge chunk of her expenses taken care of by random PR teams.

So if bread is what makes her "rich" then she can give up all of her shit show right away... she wouldn't need it, right? She has SOURDOUGH. Maybe her bread will pay for her next trip to St. Lucia.

This woman is not very intelligent, and at complete lack of any emotional intelligence. She's 100% greed.

my son is the same age as her son. we’ve been on holiday a couple of times since he was born, it’s never once occurred to me to put him in a kids club? my parents never did with us either. what’s the point in even taking them with you then?
Right? I can't see the point either.
My son at that age had a hard time being seperated from us too. I'll never forget how absolutely soulcrushing is was to leave my unhappy toddler at daycare so I could go to work. I would never have thought of pushing him to stay with total strangers so I can enjoy myself on a sunbed. It's his vacation, too, isn't it?

But with our super-maman we've seen it time and time again: when the choice is between her happiness and her kids' safety, then she doesn't give 2 fucks and her happiness wins.

Least thing she could do is stop sanctimoniously bragging about your "mom guilt". There's absolutely no reason to dump him at the kids' club, except for her own selfishness. So mom guilt is 100% on her and could easily be avoided by taking care of her kid herself.

Maybe that's why she keeps harping about the 5 weeks of solo parenting: because deep down she hates spending unlimited time with her own kids 🤷‍♀️

I'd rather give my kids an iPad for an hour than leave them with strangers in a strange country! But she always does this, almost feels like she thinks she owes hubby sexy couple time or something.

Stop the presses, Madame est revenue! Patting herself on the back for taking a month off Instagram and "solo parenting" with no help or childcare. Does she really think everyone else has granny down the road to take the kids everyday? But she focused on "being wholesome" (wut?) and possibly discovered naturism as she thanks her followers for "baring" with her!

I'm sure she'll soon sneak in a few ads that were filmed during her "time off" though...

Asking for advice on English schools "as a French woman" surely she's been around British people (including her husband) for ages now? She acts as if she's just moved and experiencing some major culture shock

There is very little more irritating than an influencer who doesn't have anything resembling a job and whose life is an endless stream of "PR" holidays, complaining that they and their partner don't get enough time to themselves!

Starting a thread for Manon.

I generally like Manon but it seems she’s moved into the influencing space now, rather than being cooking focused, which feels like a shame.

I was pretty gutted to see that she’d been seen a brand new petal Le Creuset. I’d been saving up for one and the colour I want is sold out. Feels a bit of a slap in the face to see influencers handed them for free!

I used to really like Manon’s content because she dressed normally, and could whip up amazing looking meals in her little kitchen and she seemed so normal.

Now it’s all £300 antiques she’s been gifted with her free le creset and sezane jumpers in her massive Clapham townhouse. She’s morphed into a bit of a stepford wife that I can’t relate to anymore :(

I have always wondered this as these Instagram types seem to always be hesitant to admit something is an ad even if it clearly is - be it “gifted”, “sponsored” or whatever you want to call it. Or even when they sodding tag a brand hinting at freebies. Makes me sick - you’ve got the money, pay yourself!

Her overall arrogance gets me most though. I don’t let my kids have screens, tv, I have to solo parent tonight woe me and that crap.. come on love, most women do - and daily! And work full time actual jobs. Not just going to free events where you’re given stuff, or recording yourself talking to your camera whilst you make dinner.

You have e the time for that stuff - you more than have time to look after your own kids! Bloody Mother Earth.

im healthier than you, im fitter than you, i can run further than you, I wake up earlier than you, my child reads more than yours, i go on better holidays than you. Yes - because you have a wealthy husband who also comes from money and you get paid to film yourself cooking or cutting a ribbon. Well done!
