Mia is MIA. She really does just bury her head when the going gets tough

Just shows she has zero regard for company culture. What moron would put their unqualified son in such a top tier role never mind the ridiculous salary. Read the room Mia, 7 years from content producer to COO or whatever he is, unheard of in any corporate organisation. Pay your staff better and stop being a tyrant. Feedback is a gift, eat some humble pie and take it onboard. I would die if I had a reputation like she does, imagine having a boss like that? I know people that have worked there, smart people and they all have said the same thing, she has her favourites and everyone else is just rum to her.

It's bizarre to me that two adults with expensive educations and all the privileges that come with growing up with wealthy parents in Sydney's eastern suburbs, have so little ambition and independence that they want nepo baby jobs in Mummy and Daddy's company. The lowly paid women who produce all their content must absolutely hate them.

This part is too strange. Why have neither of her adult children- despite their basically limitless resources- got the inclination to do something different to mummy and daddy and stand on their own two feet? It’s a bit sad really.

I would point out that they went to expensive schools - the fact that neither of the two who've graduated have gone on to any higher study speaks volumes of their 'education'

ps Please everyone remember that Jessie topped the state with a perfect ATAR when she did year 12
and that Luca was still in primary school when she did so

I haven’t listened today but has Mia’s absence been explained at all?

This is what gets me too. Wouldn’t Mia, or at least Jason, want them to get some real life experience and at least pretend to stand on their own two feet?
Even the Royals often do a stint in Defence or similar.

Luca is on track to have a full blown mid life crisis by 30 when he wakes up and realizes he’s done nothing with his masses of privilege and opportunities.

I think it says a lot about what a joke of a company it is that they will appoint an uneducated kid to the role of COO. Guessing they don’t have other outside investors/shareholders… I don’t see how it’s fiscally responsible, just stupid

We have a successful medium size family business. Obviously no where even close to freedman/lavigne. We have made sure both our older kids (who are now out of school ) had casual jobs outside the family business, as well as helping us when needed and have now gone and studied in different fields. should they want to come back into it in years to come at least they’ll have some life skills and experience beyond mummy and daddy . And be respected by other employees.

Parents are probably stuck in the late 80s when it was totally normal for people who went to prestigious schools to just go work at a company from family connections, I know someone who went and worked as a stockbroker straight out of school, no degree, you could never do that now.

Mia never went to university herself, she seems the type to not want her children to one up her…
Her lack of tertiary education really shines through given the number of business duck ups Mamamia has endured along with the regular spelling and grammar errors 🙈

I can’t explain exactly why I have this feeling, but Luca comes off as a very dark person.

I don’t want this to be the case, but I reckon Luca and Jessie will be divorced within 5-10 years. She’s always seemed more into him than he to her, and she pressured him having children when he was very young. I totally agree there will come a point where he realises he’s done absolutely nothing with his life except toe the line and he’s going to rebel hard.

Just little comments he’d make about her body during pregnancy etc I saw clearly that he wasn’t really ready to have kids, I’d have been devastated if my husband was so immature about pregnancy and birth.

Agree they won’t last. He isn’t even 30 yet… all his private school mates would still be sewing their wild oats and not settling down for a little while yet. 7 years will feel like a lot when she’s 42 and he’s 35 and all his mates are only just starting to get married and have kids..and he has a 10 year old

I also don’t really buy Jessie ‘accidentally’ falling pregnant. I know accidents happen so I’m not saying they don’t, but I think she baby trapped him
