Sorry, I didn’t know there was a time limit on being outraged about babies being murdered and innocent people being captured who are still being held hostage?

Anyway not to de rail the thread on the Israel/Palestine issue, but it’s important to put the other side of the coin out there - there seems to be a lot of anti - Mia feeling here which does give a tone of anti semitism about it as well.
Nah get out with your pathetic attempt at quashing any criticism of genocide apologists as antisemitism. Mia is an arrogant narc, has been hated for a long time, there has been a long history of cunty behaviour from her with receipts and you try to derail the conversation by claiming people don’t like her because she is Jewish? Nah people don’t like her because she has shown us who she is and what she stands for - fatphobic, homophobic, genocidal apologist, anti-women workers rights, you pick! You reducing it to anti semitism, is anti semitic in itself because it takes away from the anctual anti semitism that people experience.

Mia’s religion doesn’t bother me at all. It’s her statement about ‘oh should we send flowers?’ And lots of her other behaviour that shits me-the overconsumption, disingenuous pretending to be middle class and self made and now the nepotism & fake feminism… Mia is problematic. If there is Anti-Mia sentiment it’s not because of her religion, more so her statements and the claim that they discuss ‘what women are talking about’ (they don’t) I’ve seen harsher reviews in Mamamia Mia Out Loud Apple reviews than I have on Tattle

It's bizarre to me that two adults with expensive educations and all the privileges that come with growing up with wealthy parents in Sydney's eastern suburbs, have so little ambition and independence that they want nepo baby jobs in Mummy and Daddy's company. The lowly paid women who produce all their content must absolutely hate them.

Aaaanyway. Let’s get back to some good old fashioned snarking, care of Carla Sophia!

Go off Carly!
I hope more former, or even current, Mamamia employees come out about this shitshow.
$50 is a disgrace.

@RobinsHood sweetheart I think you’re lost. This is Tattle. The mamamia Facebook pages are a great spot for you if you’re looking for an echo chamber.

She’s right though, it seems we’re all allowed to say we feel sorry for the Palestinian children but the October 7th atrocities don’t get as much air time and you can’t seem to show any pro Israel or pro Jewish sentiment.
I actually think it's the other way round. The media has been completely pro Israel (until maybe very recently when some media outlets are starting to swing towards supporting Palestine - too little, too late though) and people supporting Palestine have been completely censored. Furthermore, the atrocities that happened on October 7th should not be an excuse for Israel to commit genocide on a nation, not just for the past two years, but for the last SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS.

The hypocrisy of them saying they're wanting to make the world a better places for girls when they underpay their staff who are mostly women.

We also note that in 2019 he attended Melbourne Business School for a year while also working for Mamamia, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Guys it's okay, Luca went to TAFE so he's qualified for a job. I freaking love whoever wrote this story.

Their relationship was apparently accepted by the staff and was not a source of office gossip, despite Jessie being eight years Luca's senior.

Mia Freedman is the classic boomer mum who refuses to take accountability when she says something even slightly wrong or offensive - "oh well I guess I'm just the worst person in the world and I'll never say anything ever again!"

I’m living for it too. Imagine working your ass off for years at MM and then her schmuck of a kid strolls in to a $300k salary having never worked in media 😂 I’m trying to imagine what a 27 year old could contribute around the executive boardroom table.

I don’t know. I don’t think there is an anti-Semitism tone with Mia. I think it’s more of a morality issue. Absolutely mourn and be outraged about the awful events that happened on October 7, I don’t think anyone wants to take that away from anyone. I think when your morality is only limited to that event, but refuses to acknowledge and express the same outrage or sadness for the slaughter or thousands of children, kind of paints a different picture. That plus her awful comments about said bombings of children. I mean just really shows how she views humanity. Anyway, that’s just my opinion 🤷‍♀️

I would point out that they went to expensive schools - the fact that neither of the two who've graduated have gone on to any higher study speaks volumes of their 'education'

ps Please everyone remember that Jessie topped the state with a perfect ATAR when she did year 12
and that Luca was still in primary school when she did so

Wow ,haven’t listened to that particular episode but is Mia seriously having a whinge about how hard her life has been for the past two years ? You know whose lives have REALLY been hard for the past 2 years (& more obviously) Palestinian women and children Mia. You know, the ones you said you’d send flowers to? Who have been blown up and dismembered ! Maybe it’s been hard because people have seen what an uncaring, horrible , fake woman you are amd what you support.

Clare was central to the Mamamia brand as one half of 'The Twins'. She is now flying solo and is about to release a book called The Worst Thing I've Ever Done, which is set at a media company.
Swirling rumours she quit Mamamia over money - and her brother-in-law's eye-watering salary in particular - are not true, according to staff we spoke to.
I would LOVE if it was Clare who leaked Luca's salary to the press.

So people are allowed to be outraged about Palestine, but making a comment about the evil atrocities that Hamas committed isn’t allowed?
You know that you can still feel for all of the innocent Palestinian children being killed, but still be absolutely appalled by the Oct 7th attack, which Hamas instigated, right?

I don’t agree with everything Mia says, although I side with her views more than I do with Holly.
It’s very easy and lazy to just call people “problematic.” 🙄

I also find the Nepotism argument very boring- if my parents owned a shop, I’d expect to be given a job there? There has to be some perks and benefits for your family, to the stresses of owning a business.
If people don’t like working for Mamamia so much and feel the conditions and pay are crap, they’re welcome to go start their own media company?

I’m not saying this as a staunch defender of Mia, but sometimes it feels like only those on the left are entitled to their views and opinions, and you should always be open to discussion and seeing things from other perspectives.
I think you’ve missed the point entirely. It also doesn’t bother me that her kids work at her company - I agree that it’s normal and somewhat expected to work in a family business.

The problem I have is that her kid is overpaid and underqualified and probably didn’t get the job fair and square. All of that doesn’t sit well with me

At a women’s media company too. Like, I could understand a 27 year old woman because younger generations definitely have a lot to add to the discourse (think Hannah Ferguson). But the combination of 27yo male, no real studies, meteoric rise to the top… yeah nah.

I wouldn’t call this interview positive. If anything it makes them sound like a bunch of weirdos. And the identical hair styling is so ick.
