I agree they won't last, BUT I'm going to differ on the mates thing - it's not that uncommon for the super rich to make random "bohemian" choices like having a kid at 25. In a way it's like a flex, like oh oops we had a kid but it's fine because we've got money for nannies, extra houses, holidays as usual, and any school we want. He will probably have a second family once Jessie has wrangled a settlement.
I think Luca and Mia have a bizarre relationship and he chosen someone similar to his mum (outspoken, writer, ‘feminist) and Mia also had Luca at 25, as she loves to repeat. She honestly makes herself out to be the youngest person to have ever had a child
If Mia and Jason want to give their kids 300k of pocket money per year then that is their choice; it’s their money to do with. I think the issue that Mia has overlooked hiring a female with experience for the role - look at some of the women who Shameless have hired.

That and the fact that MM is notorious for paying its largely very young, mostly female, workforce very poorly.
Coupled with their atrocious maternity leave policy, it’s a really bad look to be paying their son such a large salary with no higher education and a background in bartending.
It is certainly their choice but that doesn't mean it's a good choice or that it reflects well on Mia as a businesswoman.
If it’s true (which I think it is given she hasn’t denied it) it’s such a weird move - why didn’t they make him a shareholder or pay him that kind of salary from a trust? Absolutely wild if they put that on the payroll for someone who is clearly not experienced enough to be getting that salary.
Also as he hasn’t been in the role that long - did he go through a hiring process? Was anyone else in the company about to apply and interview? Was he truly the best person for the role? Highly doubt all of the above.

I’m not saying he shouldn’t take the money, I’m saying Mia should have been smarter with how she is giving it to him - usually rich people are waaaay more clever than this with how they fork out their wealth. They could have set him up with shares to the tune of $150k payouts and put him on a $150k salary and no one would have batted an eyelid. Putting him on a very-undeserving $300k salary just to make sure your nepo baby isn’t poor is WILD.Honestly tho, if I was a nepo baby I’d take it too
