Recording a companion podcast as though Strife is Succession has me cackling.
I finished it yesterday (not much to do in Sydney at 42 degrees) and genuinely can’t believe such an accomplished production crew made such a mediocre show.

It was the biggest load of crap I’ve watched in a long time. Boring, terrible script, wasted use of Asher Keddie who despite her talent played the role like a depressed Nina Proudman, she was given nothing to work with. Not sure how this show got made.
Can we also talk about the absolute obsession over Strife on the OL Facebook page? It’s concerning.
Also I can’t watch it because I’m in NZ, and all the NZders saying they’ll email our TV stations with a request is embarrassing. Or asking for the 100th time when it will show in NZ. Use the search function, ladies.

Have they covered anything? Apart from the odd repost like this quite gross one? Or just pretending that one of the must significant world events in recent times is just not happening? I am so ashamed that I used to be a Mia fan.
Just finished Strife. I have followed everything Mia has done for atleast 15 years and I’m only 32. I used to devour her letters to the editor in cosmo as a tween. I’m at an absolute loss as to why she even made this show. It’s absolutely nothing like her memoir and the character of Eve has not one redeeming quality. It seriously paints her in the worst light.
Mia only cared in the beginning when the hostages were taken in Israel, once they started bombing Palestine she lost interest.
Same. I was so disappointed. She actually has a really interesting show to tell about her life but this wasn’t it.
I think it’s quite obvious now what ideology Mia subscribes to and why she has not said a word about Israel bombing civilians into oblivion.
My fav comment was one asking if anyone knew what the main character did after she hit a cyclist - the aftermath wasn't shown in the series at all so how on earth would any of these sycophants know. Wild stuff.
Oh absolutely. But not even prepared to stand up for her beliefs or better yet, explain them except for shadowy posts and reposts like this. Jenna Price wrote a terrific article for the SMH the other day, very digestible. Not even dumbed down version for Mamamia?
