Shame on Mia for doing a story on Roxy Jacenko ‘overdosing’ (deliberately taking a huge dose of Ozempic). People need this medication for acute disease and they can’t get it because of fuckheads like her.
She was desperately trying to compare it to Botox, why?! They are so, so different. That whole segment was very uninformed and irritating

I unsubscribed and gave my reason for cancelling - too much talk of Jessie’s baby

I actually think a glaring issue with the ozempic piece is that it isn’t reflective of the experience on the drug when you take it as directed. You normally start on 0.25 - and you have to stay on that for four weeks before moving up to 0.5 and staying on it for four weeks and finally moving up to a full dose. They really don’t deep dive that at all. And all are skinny women who really have no understanding of what it’s like to carry extra weight - not necessarily a huge amount - but enough to impact your health.
---
While I mull on this. Holly saying ‘I just don’t think ozempic is right for people going from a 14 to a 12 or a 12 to a 10’ - that pisses me off. She’s clearly reflecting on her own recent weightloss journey and saying well I didn’t need it so no one else should. Also - she has never actually explained how she lost that weight. And she is now TINY (I was shocked when I saw her in public)

Also, some diabetics are size 14, not all are massively obese

I’ve never seen her in public but have noticed she looks extremely slim now.
Did anyone listen to Jessie self indulgent first 8 weeks baby chat? My god, she really is smug!

No, couldn’t possibly subscribe but please take one for the Tattle Tarts and give us the rundown on what this expert on everything said? 🤣
Ok so she said the last 8 weeks have been the best of her life and she is sailing through it due to Mia and Holly’s sage advice over the years. Her baby sleeps well and has slotted right in. A tiny bit of resentment crept up when Luca was asleep so she wrote him a 1000 word email. She pointed out that her wake-up’s with the baby take a long time because she’s breastfeeding (yeahhhh ok my bottle fed babies took a long time too). Basically everything is amazing and smooth. Who’s going to tell her newborns are easy potatoes?

Actually I remember everyone’s favourite parent Leigh mentioning she had something new to announce and would once they’d finished the media presos. Please tell me she’s not doing more parenting content 😬

Haha I always have to laugh when anyone in the public eye does the obligatory interview about the newborn stage and gloats about how easy it was…wait for the baby to “wake up”…hahaha you are in for it!!

It’s a very smug of her to claim that the first 8 weeks have been an absolute breeze and I have no doubt she’s lying about parts of it. I don’t know any first time mum that would claim that. All she’s doing is perpetuating this myth that the newborn phase as a FTM is easy peasy and anyone else who is finding it hard must be a failure.

My first was a dream newborn. I got to 2-3 months and was honestly wondering what the fuss was all about. Then 4 months hit 🤣 6 years down the track and she hasn’t slept since…

Same here! My second son was the easiest baby, at least compared to his brother. Then he got a bit older and had thoughts and opinions and holy shiz 😵💫

She’s taking over the fashion podcast

I’m the same - most of my newborns are fairly easy but honestly my 6 year old is about to break me and has done so since 18 months.

I listened to the podcast and tbh found it very boring. Great that her first 8 weeks are going well but who cares! The best part of the podcast was the sage advice from Holly about every mother and baby being different and the unfair nature of parenting when you are the one feeding.
---
And more parenting podcasts with the twins - do they not have anyone else to do podcasts except for these two plus Leigh and Holly? I don’t get it?

Move by Mamamia? They really do want a finger in every pie don’t they? Can’t they focus on good quality content instead?

Don’t be silly. I can’t think of a single Mamamia employee who even exercises. Except for Leigh when there’s a paid partnership with a gym for a couple of weeks.
