Yes she looks so much better with no make up on.Still no sign of his imaginary friends even though he is mentioning them more and more in his vlogs. Do you think he is trying to tell us something such as he does come and look on here. I must say one thing though Zara looks so nice and fresh without her caked on orange make up tit that she really is better au natural. I must admit though Luke is a hard worker he has his vlog dog walking and cleaning and cooking and to be fair most things he turns his hands at he does really well. I just would like for him to be more natural and be himself. Mr Grinch is being so nice but hey its Christmas and I wish everyone on this thread a very Happy Christmas have a good one and be happy and have a drink for me!!!!!
I think it’s a bit of a stretch to describe him as a “hard worker” because he ‘cooks’, ‘cleans’ and ‘walks his dog’. Most of us on here complete these tasks along with full time jobs. You know, real jobs…not tasting Waitrose nibbles or filming ourselves flower arranging.Still no sign of his imaginary friends even though he is mentioning them more and more in his vlogs. Mr Grinch was being nice as it is Christmas and possibly a bit sarcastic!! You can decorate in a rented property, you know…it is still your HOME!I am once again asking him to stop repainting the living room in his RENTED flat.
Do you work for Dulux? You can decorate in a rented property, you know…it is still your HOME!
Yes but it isn't really within the means/interests of most renters. Firstly, a lot of landlords won't allow it. Secondly, the ones that do will likely ask you to change it back after, which obviously ads to more unnecessary expense so is cost prohibitive for a lot of renters who are already faced with unreasonable rents. There are so many other reasons why it's basically only a privileged handful who will have a chance to decorate their rented homes how they'd want. You can decorate in a rented property, you know…it is still your HOME!
You do know that a lot of people rent & don’t own their own property? Therefore a lot will want to decorate & genuinely will want to put their own stamp on their rented property(within reason,I mean cosmetics). Some tenants do pay hefty rents & that’s the exact reason why they want to make it their own…often knowing they’ll never own their own property.(I know this doesn’t really apply to Luke’s situation, necessarily).Yes but it isn't really within the means/interests of most renters. An AD for Ginsters ?? Doesn’t really fit his faux-middle class vibe !!
That's odd, I rented for years and there were often very specific clauses in my tenancy agreement to prevent redecoration. Also, I was already paying off someone else's mortgage, I'd no interest throwing more money away. Then I saved up and bought a house myself. Lots of people manage it.You can decorate in a rented property, you know…it is still your HOME!
It’s all for content isn’t it? He doesn’t pay for the paint and anything he might buy in addition to it will be claimed back in expenses. That's odd, I rented for years and there were often very specific clauses in my tenancy agreement to prevent redecoration. Main point is that Luke is a big fan of making videos about finances and how he is definitely totally going to buy a house over and over again. Then pointlessly redecorating someone else's flat for #content. Its dull and pointless.
My point still stands, it’s still your home & you can make it just that.In my experience of renting for many years, as long as you negotiate with your landlord, there’s not usually a problem…It appears that Luke has that sort of Landlord. Yes, I am aware of that. Thank you for reminding me, though. I think you're missing the point and seem really defensive about it for some reason. I don't care what you or any other individual does in their rented property. That's between you and your landlord. You do know that a lot of people rent & don’t own their own property? I just feel people can often be a little flippant about tenants! Just because you don’t OWN the property doesn’t mean it isn’t your home. I believe it’s only a privileged handful that are able to own their own homes.![]()
You've clearly had nice, approachable landlords. Majority (especially in London and other big cities) won't negotiate on these things as they can easily just drop you for another tenant who won't ask these things. My point still stands, it’s still your home & you can make it just that.In my experience of renting for many years, as long as you negotiate with your landlord, there’s not usually a problem…It appears that Luke has that sort of Landlord. I beg to differ about people being able to buy a property, too.A lot of are finding it very hard, especially in the currant climate.I personally think it’s not helpful saying things like “I’m paying someone else’s mortgage off”…Yes you are,but you are also paying to live in a property, that is your home.
I’m finding there’s a ‘snobby’ attitude towards renting, almost like it’s taboo.
Anyway,I’ve gone totally off topic! We’re probably never going to agree on this.![]()
