Didn't he provide insights to Letby about what the doctors were discussing re the unexpected deaths?

Yes, after she was first removed from the unit, he tried to get her a work placement at Alder hey while she was suspended from clinical duties. He met with her to go to London for a day trip at some point he must have realised the truth and dropped her.
Letby was very manipulative though with anyone who she thought could help her. She had a number of people thinking they were her only friend.

He was older and more senior with connections in other hospitals. I personally think this was the attraction with Letby - he was useful to her manipulations rather than lust.

I listened to the podcast with Liz and caroline talking to Sandie Bohin and she said she provided the expert reports on these additional cases but she wouldn’t give evidence because of all the harrassment she’s received from Letby’s supporters. I wonder if that’s enough to say the evidence threshold has not been met? Her response made me think they can’t compel her to give evidence. It was quite an adamant no.

Davi’s simply can NOT stand in parliament and peddle utter lies and nonsense.
I do hope he has to address this in front of the house.

There is a transcript of David Davis's speech. It reads like Truther's bingo, sewage dripping from ceiling tick, shift chart not including expected deaths when Letby not on duty tick. I was surprised he actually stated, Dr Dimitrova theory, that baby O was killed by the doctor as a fact! He also accused the police of deliberately lying saying Letby was arrested in her pyjama!

Bloody hell. Even the cleaners got mentioned as potential suspects again!!

I found it really strange how the general public were pleased about Huntley being beaten to death but concerned about Letby being woken up too early on the morning of her arrest and the neighbours possibly seeing her dressing gown ( even though she could have worn her coat instead).
They are both child murderers they are as a bad as each other.

She's never had the hatred towards her as other child killers (even back when most people accepted the verdict) I don't think people really seem to grasp what she did to these babies.

I watched one of the innocence videos and this ex police guy was saying why did they need to arrest her they could've just asked her to come in for a chat! Someone called her being taken away in handcuffs excessive use of force

It's only helpful to Letby if it contains correct information otherwise your just making money out of other people's misery.

It Just seems like a massive grift to me, all these people no.ones ever heard of writing a Letby book. Its so full of nonsense. What on earth is the point?

Yes only in this context. A lot of the morons online are trying to use this inquiry to suggest that it means a failing hospital or failures in care were responsible for the deaths of the babies in the Letby case. They were failing at CoCH but only failing to stop Letby. Sure, it’s all failures, all failure to prevent harm. Then the similarities end because CoCH babies were deliberately murdered by Letby which is a very different thing.

I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but if anyone had the knowledge to kill themselves by diabetic coma it would be him.
His life had gone down the toilet and dying from a medical reason would mean his family would still get any insurance.
It could just be that I’m an old cynic.

I must admit I wondered the same! Very tragic either way. What he did was stupid and unprofessional but it doesn't seem like he was an evil person. I feel sorry for his family.

Peter Hitchens is so obsessed with Letby she must be his first thought in the day and last thought before bed. His relentless campaigning for her is embarrassing, especially because if she wasn't a "nice middle-class" girl he wouldn't care at all.
