I do a pat down at the end of my shift. Probably ingrained in me to do it so I don't take home the CD keys, because there is nothing worse than getting home and having to go alllllll the way back with the keys.
Every handover sheet I’ve ever had was highly confidential. It had full name, DOB/age, medical history, presenting complaint, summary of previous shift, discharge plan/social situation. I might hand write latest obs, test results, urine output and any jobs I needed to do as planned on the ward round. They were stored on the computer and updated before being printed out for the next shift. I might also have random scribbles on paper towels if I was involved in something on the hop such as a collapse/deterioration. No way would you want that type of information on you or your child being stored in some weirdo’s house!
I dread it happening, I’m quite good at remembering though, and militantly search for any before I leave. Our trust doesn’t allow district nurses to print them off though, and so they have to write their visits in a notebook, which I find bizarre as that could go missing at any time- they aren’t discarding pages every shift. The ones I handle would have name, DOB, and procedure, but still wouldn’t want my name being held on official papers in some oddballs house

I think there are a good many people who still believe she as guilty so naturally disapprove of anything she does, but i personally have found a lot of her activism and writing to be really good.
