Which folk assume means she’s not guilty, and therefore not guilty of any! There’d be no such thing as serial killers if every killer got caught first time doing something they shouldn’t🤣.
Bet Jeffrey Epstein was innocent as well to some of them 😭
Yeah are we going to be open to other theories for any other convicted criminals? Rose West pleaded not guilty and I believe maintains her innocence. Shall we be open to other theories there as I assume no-one witnessed her assisting with the murders either.

Being open suggests we have to listen to anyone who claims they are the expert with a different opinion than what was heard in court. But I’m not interested in what someone like Dr Shoo ‘star of the show’ Lee has to say at a publicity stunt press conference infront of the world’s media organised by the PR firm of a baby killer.

The closest I’ll get to listening to what he has to say is the appeal court’s consideration of his evidence. Which already happened nearly two years ago and was not sufficient to undermine the conviction 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tried to keep up with these threads but wow, you lot are committed 😅. Started the documentary after reading about the AI speakers 😳.
I’ve thought Letby was guilty from the very start, no smoke without fire etc etc, blinded trust in police investigations, and just gut feeling, like thousands of people out there. However, I am willing to try to understand why people think she’s a scapegoat, or why an incompetent hospital would choose to do this to a member of staff. I’m a newbie NHS worker so am quickly learning that a lot of NHS staff believe she didn’t do this, but I don’t think I’m clever enough to understand why this is? To me, both can be true: incompetent hospital, and killer nurse on the loose. I do also believe there is a contrary group of people out there who just have a complete mistrust in everything except their wacky theories, and with our social media as it is, they are given the stage to claim all kinds of injustice. Is there any simple literature as to why she has supporters who are convinced of her innocence?
My take on it, like others, is that Letby was able to continue killing BECAUSE the hospital management was incompetent.

I keep seeing people commenting about the notes saying it was an exercise her therapist encouraged her to do? Was this ever actually said by the defence as I dont remember this in the trial or is it just another invented excuse by her apologists?
When asked in interview by police about the notes and why she wrote them she said "no comment". If you were innocent and a medical professional had told you to write these things down wouldn't you be screaming this from the rooftops. I don't know where the explanation came from but it clearly wasn't Letby herself.

Watched the documentary this evening and was also shocked by the detail of the handover sheets being kept in chronological order. She definitely didn't bring them home accidentally. It irritates me so much when people try to defend her over them.

I was super irritated by MM saying she was encouraged to write the notes in "occupational therapy". He's either a moron who doesn't know the difference between " occupational therapy" and "occupational health" or he purposefully used the wrong one to get the word "therapy" out there and in people's minds.

2 mins in and you can see just from her arrest that she’s guilty as sin. Saying goodbye to her cat because she knows she’s never coming home

What gets me is the whole “she’s a scapegoat” argument. A scapegoat for who exactly? The hospital management tried to protect and keep her at all costs, the consultants trying to whistleblow were not believed.
Yes and they say she was a scapegoat because SHE was the whistleblower. Huh?! When? When she logged a datix a week after the final incident when she knew people were talking about her?

Yeah I thought she was guilty then and I still do now.

You can tell she doesn’t think she’s ever coming back out from the way she says goodbye to that cat. And she knows why. She knows she’s guilty and the jig is up.

The protestation of innocence is because she knows there was always a chance that the jury could be convinced in her favour or at least be unable to unanimously reach a verdict, or she’d have the conviction quashed as unsafe at a later point. It’s very Jeremy Bamber. He knows he did it but he also knows there’s a very small possibility of a way out while people think he might be innocent or that there was grounds for a mistrial on account of police fuck ups.

I've seen a lot online today say the reason she has the 250 notes was because she was building a case herself, and that's why they were on chronological order.

But then surely she would have been building her case before she was even accused?! And why not sya in interview that's why you had them, you wouldn't no comment ?!

It's just so baffling. I think if you took away her interview / cross examination if you saw all the circumstantial evidence I'd probably be well sat on the fence but when you see her interview / in court she ruined her case by herself.

It's almost like she didn't even want to defend herself.
People are now putting words into Letby's mouth, giving their own reasons to justify her strange behaviour. She was given an opportunity to explain the handover sheets and post it notes, in three arrest interviews, during questioning from her own barrister and cross examination in any of those situations she could have said, " I was making notes of concerns about poor care" or " I was writing down intrusive thoughts".

Hi everyone 👋 been here stalking this thread always followed this case from a far never deep dived it however what i have seen i believe shes guilty but i am so curious why many others claim shes innocent i question myself and wonder have i missed some big land mark evidence that proves shes innocent could someone please explain why so many think shes not guilty? Would a hospital really go this far just to cover up mistakes when in reality if it was a cover up it would be revealed eventually….to me shes guilty end of and so happy to read many of you feel the same because honestly I felt crazy
I feel like there are similarities to the social media frenzies that happened with things like Nicola Bulley and Jay Slater and it’s a modern phenomenon. It’s like this perfect storm of conspiracies, misinformation, people looking to gain followers or monetise by talking about it on places like TikTok. And I think it’s compounded by it being a complex medical case with no immediately obvious ‘smoking gun’, and a lack of understanding on the legal system for criminal trials and how circumstantial evidence can still be strong. Add to that, a young white nurse. I absolutely don’t believe we would be seeing any of this if it was a different demographic!

Yeah, I don’t expect it would change anything to be honest. I just sometimes think if she ever did admit it one day, it might finally put it to bed and stop all the constant arguing around it.
I honestly don’t think it would stop the arguing. The Letby simps would probably say she was coerced in to confessing or something. Some of those absolute weirdos would actually see her killing and still say she’s innocent

Sooo. …Was she wearing the famous Lee Cooper leisure suit in both arrests? the first time with the dressing gown on top? That’s a crime in itself

I don’t think doubts about her are as widespread as it sometimes feels. It’s just those people have something they want to achieve so are frequently vocal. And then the rest of the public are just getting on with their lives because Letby is locked up forever and there’s not much else to be said on it unless you are particularly invested like us on the thread.

I think there is a perfect storm of intellectual egos who want want a piece of the pie, and then the less informed public who are also in the jay slater and Nicola Bulley groups who have caught on to the supposed conspiracy and they feed the monster.

They also like to argue that McDonald is doing his work pro bono and same with some of the experts, as if that must make their motives altruistic and bias more neutral. Now he is starting in a major Netflix documentary for one of the worst serial killers we’ve ever had. His name will forever be tied to the history books of this case, same with some of the other ‘heroes’ trying to get her convictions over turned.

I didn’t like the Netflix documentary and while it held a better argument for her guilt than other more biased ones of late, I agree with @DoseofReality in that it barely scratched the surface on showing all the reasons she was found guilty in a court of law (twice). I understand that maybe they couldn’t show everything and restrictions would have been in place, but they didn’t show enough imo and I’m just talking about stuff that was reported during the trial so anyone could read in the court transcripts. Many people are out there crying her innocence without realising half of the stuff that was revealed about her during the trial, probably because they’re too lazy/thick to find out for themselves and need it spelled out for them.

If she wanted to improve her practice then why didn’t she do more training like any other sane person. Why did she happen to take the papers home for the babies she killed. Absolute weirdo she is
This deserves posting in full here so I’ve screenshot and shared below.

It’s rather concerning how many NHS staff are happy to claim this behaviour as acceptable in their mission to defend Letby. There is absolutely nothing Letby can do wrong in their eyes. Letby didn’t even come out with half this shit in her own bloody defence.

She doesn't half talk some shite. Letby has never ever ever said that she took those handovers home for this purpose. These people, what's wrong with them? Letby said she took them home by accident and inadvertently. They were scraps of paper that meant nothing and she collects paper.

That's from Letbys own mouth. Why oh why do they try to invent this bullshit reasoning for everything she does.

That’s the thing with Letby which makes this case even more bizarre.
She self sabotaged her own case.
She is guilty as sin, had one of the countries best barristers who even managed to get her off some of the charges and when it came to giving evidence she lost the plot and lied through her teeth on points that bearing in mind she had been sat in her cell for a couple of years had she had a reasonably credible answer that wasn’t “ I collect paper “ the verdicts yet again may have been different.
Horrifying thought.

I'm not as deep into this case as some on this thread, but I get so angered when I see comments saying "always knew she was innocent" or "just got a gut feeling shes didn't do it". Fucking freaks the lot of them!!!!

It was night time, dark in the wards but the corridors were lit up. The baby has a canopy over her. Letby had obviously been in and done something to the baby. When the nurse came back, Letby was in the doorway and said to the nurse l think the baby looks pale. Johnson questioned her on how she could have seen the baby's face as the room was dark and the baby under a canopy. She said ' I knew what I was looking for' immediately realised she'd dropped herself in it, said 'I knew what I was looking at'. Think it was like a mic drop moment in court. She then got upset and the trial got adjourned for the rest of the day!

If ive got any of that wrong, please correct me!
I was always on the side of guilty anyway but that sealed it for me 100%.

If Letby wasn't white, young, and blonde in the pictures they used, no one would be protesting her innocence.

She said herself why she did it. She did it because she is evil.

It sounds like she has always felt like she needed to fit in. Her weird mate saying how the drs and nurses didnt speak to them and then she went onto neonatal. Like if she has these "bad"shifts where the babies are passing, shes getting sympathy and attention.
Her parents have brought her up telling her she is special and all that so when she is coming into these enviroments and people arent treating her like shes the shit she cant accept that. I honestly think she murdered these babies for attention.

I wonder why they only made it 90mins long. They could have done a series for sure. I thought what they did produce was well done but agree with others there is SO much more that could have been said
