I’ve asked the Letby cult many times. How has she been made a scapegoat when anyone who had concerns about her were made to apologise to the cunt? The management went out of their way to protect her. Who exactly is making her a scapegoat? If this would have been acted on when the first red flags were raised then some of those babies would be alive today. There has to be some kind of charges brought against the ones who basically enabled her to injure and kill. Also the way she wrote “I killed them” because I’m not good enough on that note is very telling. Why didn’t she say “they died” because I’m not good enough, if it was failings and bad care on the unit that killed them

Did anyone clock when the policewoman in the bedroom said ‘I see you’ve got a tracksuit on so that’s probably going to be quite appropriate’

For some reason it sent me 🤣

And then Letby lobbed her crusty old dressing gown over the top.
Yep! Love that in each arrest video she was quite clearly given chance to get dressed/get changed. I get that the arrests probably WERE traumatic but she cannot claim it's because of how she was treated. She was shown respect and care at each one.

The documentary barely scratched the surface. Telling the parents to put their baby in the cold cot when they'd not passed away yet and she wasn't even supposed to be in the room. Force feeding babies while It was proven she was on her phone. Searching parents on anniversaries or birthdays when she claims to not know their names. The note that mentioned all 3 of the triplets, how they were so missed and should have been a year old when it was only 2 of them that died.

It may have been better to wait until after the inquiry is published so they could have presented more information. The overdose. The failed competency. It was poor by the usual Netflix true crime standard.

It was also so frustrating that Ronald McDonald was allowed to present things as fact that are utter bullshit and not disputing them, such as being told to write the notes, her being one of the most qualified nurses on the unit and how there were no more deaths or incidents when she was taken off the unit because they were downgraded- when they were downgraded to a gestation that most of the babies that died or she attempted to murder were.

This has been discussed at length. The methods used in healthcare “attacks” just look like ordinary episodes of care. An injection here, a feed there, flushing a tube. The “weapons” were carried and used benignly by every member of staff on the ward, so they may well have seen her do it but have no idea what they were looking at. Even with cctv some of the consequences of her actions would be hard to pick out as deliberate without looking at the bigger picture, by this I mean a lot of babies were generally doing ok until she did something that wouldn’t look like an attack but was followed by an unexpected adverse event. She was observed by baby E’s mum (have a look at the wiki) and also Dr.J saw her watching a baby deteriorate and not step in to help. Other things she did were often after she was left alone with a baby, covering someone else’s break or settling a baby after visiting so there was nobody there to see what happened.
I just want to say I think the Wiki is fantastic. I'm slowly working my way through it.

I also think its very telling that
1. Only one person each time was not guilty. So there was enough evidence to convince 10 jury members every time
2. There were some charges that are no verdict or not guilty. I also think this is important as it shows the jury were willing to consider she wasn't guilty like they are supposed to.

This often gets missed

A good article by Liz Hull in the daily mail today. Apparently some of the families are planning on appealing the the CPS' decision and they can also still take civil action against NHS if they believe their baby was deliberately harmed

What happened? I must have totally missed this I’m sorry
It was night time, dark in the wards but the corridors were lit up. The baby has a canopy over her. Letby had obviously been in and done something to the baby. When the nurse came back, Letby was in the doorway and said to the nurse l think the baby looks pale. Johnson questioned her on how she could have seen the baby's face as the room was dark and the baby under a canopy. She said ' I knew what I was looking for' immediately realised she'd dropped herself in it, said 'I knew what I was looking at'. Think it was like a mic drop moment in court. She then got upset and the trial got adjourned for the rest of the day!

If ive got any of that wrong, please correct me!

People have been shouting scapegoat since before the trial even started and not one person has been able to explain how the scapegoat theory plays out. And now we’ve had the evidence from the Thirlwall Inquiry it’s even more clear that this is no scapegoat. In fact the attempts of scapegoating was aimed at the consultants.

What the actual evidence shows is that the consultants were the only ones who were actually trying to get answers on the increased mortality rate. Nobody higher up or outside of COCH were asking questions. Even when they went to the exec, they didn’t care. And that is outrageous whether there was a murderer or it was actually poor care!!
If the consultants were to blame then they could have easily kept quiet then and just continued on. But THEY were the ones that kept insisting something wasn’t right and linked Letby.

The exec did nothing but protect Letby and infact looked at ways to threaten and manage out the consultants. Now who is being made the scapegoat?

But let’s say the consultants were actually trying to scapegoat Lucy. It ended up with the police. It would have ended there as there would have been no evidence against her. But we are meant to believe the police fell for the consultants narrative? Have their own motivations to scapegoat a nurse?
And that the multiple experts also got caught up in it too.

Nobody even mentions the other experts whose evidence contributed to the prosecutions case. Professor Sally Kinsey. Professor Peter Hindmarsh. Professor Owen Arthurs. Professor Andreas Marnerides. What makes Shoo Lee and co more expert than them? I bet half the scapegoat theorists don’t even know those names or what evidence they gave.

All I think now when I see someone saying scapegoat is that they are massively uninformed and just like to read clickbait. It’s not a good look for them.

I remember thinking this throughout the original trial: I believe she’s guilty, and I believe she knows she’s guilty. It likely didn’t begin with deliberate intent — more an “accident” that brought her the attention, sympathy, and intensity she craved. But once she experienced that rush, it escalated. Over time, she needed to cause greater harm to achieve the same effect.

The note strongly suggests she knew what she was doing was wrong and that she was evil — and that she wanted it to stop. The fact that she moved her trophies from one home to another, and effectively undermined her own defence, feels like a subconscious desire to be caught and confined.

Yet she cannot confess, because doing so would shatter her parents (who are unusually clingy, controlling, and emotionally enmeshed with her). Didn’t she say she wanted to work abroad but couldn’t because her it would break her parent’s heart? Even moving from Hereford to Chester was, apparently, “too far” for them.

I have just listened to the latest mail podcast. Kim Pilling is on it. They said on there that at least half the babies on the indictment would still have been treated there and also a reminder that nearly 900 babies have been born since with not one death.

I wish they included some details apart from the disagreement of the air embolism diagnosis.

  • Insulin poisoning, and why the amount couldn’t of been an “error”
  • Liver injury that mirrored enough force of that of a car crash
  • The twins that died in consecutive days that were doing so well, right after she got back from Holliday with a “bang” her words. With the sympathy note address to all THREE triplets
  • The baby who’s mother found it with blood around her mouth from the tubes being dislodged with letby only in the room.
  • The baby who was over fed by letby and vomited across a room which would NEVER happen of a baby that size.

Nadine Dorries has written a full page article in the Daily Mail today with all the usual BS that has infuriated me. A lot of attention is given to her poor "elderly parents" at the time of her arrest. Whilst her dad is older her mum was still in her 50's back then and has still not reached retirement age even now. "They know she is innocent"!! says Dorries. So she must be innocent!! Today my daughter called round and brought up the subject of Letby saying she had seen the Dorries interview on TV. She said to me I'm not sure if she is guilty. So I said to my daughter what do you think happened to babies O and P and she just looked at me. I said what do you think happened to baby E and she again just looked blank. I asked her about the triplets and she said I didn't know there were triplets. I said so you're starting to form opinions about Letby's possible innocence without knowing anything at all. She accepted listening to these people is making her form opinions without any knowledge at all which is what most of these people are doing. I heard it said yesterday on TV that 75% of Sun readers believe she is innocent. Obviously they are reaching these concludions like my daughter based on these ridiculous newspaper stories.

"No motive and no CCTV". So whenever there's a motive we don't understand or a lack of one...and no CCTV...we should assume no murder. The barrister at the end is a cunt. I'm sick to death of these pricks being given a platform.

I absolutely believe that the family dynamics are completely off with that lot.
During time when court wasn’t sitting her mum was sat with that simpleton Janet Cox and was shrieking and crying whilst her dad was sitting in a completely different area just looking at the floor wishing it would swallow him up.
To me that's very telling - I think the dad knows she’s guilty deep down, the mother still blinkered or she’s too mad to comprehend.
They were so enmeshed, going to Cockington every year 😩 and the parents not wanting her to leave Hereford - it wasn’t normal by any stretch at her age. No romantic relationships ever it would seem - male or female.
Her dad was even at her house on the night of the first arrest … why ?
My take on this is that she’s been hurting babies since she first qualified but just in nasty subtle ways so a pinch here, tube dislodgement, quick feed and it escalated.
She may have even killed a baby on purpose ( I would put money on it ) or by mistake in the early days and enjoyed all the fuss given and something clicked for her - finally she has power.
I also think her main hatred and envy were the parents as I feel she wanted to hurt them almost more than the babies, she wanted to absolutely smash their world into pieces and she enjoyed that power she had over life and death and more importantly them, she knew she would never be a parent.
The daft doctor comes on the scene and finally a guy has noticed HER and it’s a brand new experience so this makes everything even more polarised and he showers her with praise but also feeds her with inside information on what’s being said and done by the consultants and hospital.
She contacted his wife over FB ffs … she’s a fruit loop.
All this plus a old tired hospital with abysmal leadership and management who were so blinkered by the need to hold onto their jobs that they shouldn’t have had in the first place and it’s the perfect storm for Letby.
The consultants had figured out what was going on but nobody listened and their own jobs were on the line and she going on a simply crazy killing spree.
That’s my take on this anyway - if you pitched this to Hollywood they would say it was too far fetched.
This is 100% what happened. This is Letby down to a T. It's not even far fetched. The evidence shows it. She was exactly like this. It was definitely an attention thing. There was something wrong with her. Weird upbringing, slight misfit, awkward and a definite lack of empathy. She absolutely wanted to hurt the parents. It's must have killed her seeing the absolute joy of these parents, with their perfectly normal lives.

Wow she stored the handover sheets in chronological order - she's really struggling to explain why she marked dates in her diary

She wrote notes saying "murder" "murderer" "noone will ever know what happened and why"

I've not weighed in with my thoughts on this before but have dipped in and out of the threads. I find it very sinister how the campaign to free her has grown. I think the case is so complex that many people just can't understand it and therefore think on that basis that its not fair she's in jail. Like, if I don’t get it then how can the jury be sure. There are obviously bots trying to undermine confidence in the justice system as well.
I read a great point up thread that resonated with me, there's never been anyone wrongly convicted as a serial killer. The closest you'd get is Sally Clark and there were clear issues there with the statistics being obviously wrong, and evidence withheld. Other miscarriages of justice have resulted from false confessions and witnesses lying. Doesn't apply to Letby.
Thank you for this thread which makes me feel like there are other sane people in the world!
