Elston is really showing his stupidity, firstly thinking that sharing these emails somehow exposes Dewi Evans. Secondly, not understanding the difference between a designated nurse and having sole charge at each incident.

I find Dewi both frustrating and admirable. Sometimes I wish he would just shut up and stop giving these people any time of day. Other times I admire his strength at continuing to speak up and defend his evidence and these babies. He doesn’t actually have any need to do this as I think he’s fully retired now.

He's such an clown. He believes he is scoring points over Dewi - but all he's doing is reminding people that Letby kept interfering with babies that were none of her business.

So now Elston has published his emails with Dewi Evans as part of the campaign to discredit him. Someone on Reddit posted a useful summary of the 17 deaths.
Why do people not see that Letby is as guilty as sin!! She was constantly going from unexpected unexplained collapse to unexpected unexplained collapse! The only mystery is why she wasn't stopped earlier.

Just out of curiousity, have thirlwall or the courts, or evans, ever published how much overtime/hours worked letby was doing in this time period?

Not that I recall but it’s also not really relevant. She was not charged/convicted because of “bad” statistical probability relating to shift numbers when she did overtime and others didn’t.

As she worked 37.5 hours a week, I think she was limited to one extra 12 hour shift a week.

Genuinely curious, from personal experience a lot of NHS do opt out of the 48 hour directive. In my line of work we were actually told how to do it (but not encouraged). I wonder if she or others did, really I'm curious of whether that's recorded anywhere is all.

But Letby worked more overtime than any other nurse in the history of nurses because she was one of the best nurses and they needed her. That's why she was present at 15 of 17 deaths! Definitely not sus!

If the deaths started almost as soon as she passed her QIS qualification, that's just a coincidence and it's not evidence of murder.

If there's 100 other pieces of evidence that point towards this, it's best to isolate each one and repeat this mantra.

I'm not saying this, but i am curious to how many extra shifts she did compared to others?

The NHS are subtly coercive in making people overwork, if only people outside the org saw what cash incentives people were offered for extra shifts where that role was understaffed, people would be astounded. There are some roles that are paying £400+ a shift out of desperation.

There were text messages shown at Thirwall that showed her asking for extra shifts and being turned down because there was enough staff on duty. She also went on holiday to Ibiza and Torquay during the indictment period so she had plenty of time off.

I don't think she needed that many because she was able to do the things that people do in their breaks, when she was feeding babies, like being on her phone. Its what makes her a supernurse

Yeah some people seem to conveniently forget that her shift behaviours and collecting paper alone were enough for a disciplinary had they known about it. I would like to think someone would actually get struck off for such persistent misuse of a huge volume of confidential patient information and stalking families of patients on Facebook.

As soon as people start talking about her being a super nurse i know they are never going to accept any actual evidence. They can’t even accept that those behaviours were completely inappropriate and that alone means she can’t be considered a supernurse.

I've never come across anyone who believes she is not guilty yet at the same will admit "yeah there are things that as a nurse she shouldn't have done". She's like the leader of some weird religious cult - her benevolence and infallibility cannot be questioned.
