The press just need to keep giving him rope as he appears to love the sound of his own voice too much to care about the consequences. I thought I could smell weirdo vibes coming off him and seems I was correct. It’s always telling when loudmouths from another country (usually US but in this case Canada) spout off about how things should be done and they assume our legal system and laws are exactly the same as their own, or that they can speak about things wholly out of their element- “Put her under house arrest”, aye right ok.
The great thing about him continuing to speak to the press is that they are harming their own case if it ever got referred back to an appeal court or a retrial. They are just giving prosecution more and more evidence to prove they are not in the slightest bit impartial, which is what you need from medical ‘experts’ to convince a jury.

I’ve really disliked like Evans speaking in the press but he’s at least done it post convictions.

This is just getting me so irate. Even if all this new 'evidence' is proven to be bullshit and even if there was a new trial with the same outcome, people still would shout conspiracy.

And the amount of people just keep spouting stuff that's already been shown to be crap like fucking Emma Kenny. How many retrials do people want?

Acting like they are some expert on the case and dragging everyone in when they don't even get basic details right.

It's infuriating.
‘Where does it end’ is what bothers me. If CCRC reject it = conspiracy. Corrupted justice system

Even if it went to retrial and she was found guilty again, they would still think it was a MoJ.

Even if she’s charged with more harm for babies at other hospitals. Still a scapegoat and corrupt police.

I don’t know if most people will get bored and move on eventually. I think that’s part of the reason for these publicity stunts.

I do wonder what McD has planned now he’s submitted to CCRC. Any more planned publicity over the coming weeks and months? Will there be another press conference to deliver the findings on the other babies? Maybe that’s why they’ve held back so they can spread it out.

So many comments on the newspaper articles saying they think she is innocent, a lot of them include our least favourite and most familiar phrase “doesn’t sit right with me” 🙄 It doesn’t sit right with me either, the fact she was enabled to continue working when there were grave concerns she was harming babies. Why would the doctors involved push so much to have her investigated and removed if they knew it was their own shoddy practice and failing unit that was really to blame? They could have just turned a blind eye, transferred to another job or even another country and kept their names and reputations out of the press. People are just so suspicious of everything these days and with some reason, they keep mentioning the post office and Andrew malkinson but those cases are not the same as this. The likes of Dorries using the maternity scandals as well to suggest it’s all part of a wider cover up and scapegoat situation are playing on the public’s emotions. They are just swept along by rent-a-gobs and conspiracy theorists and know very little of the wealth of evidence against her, and the odd creature that is the Letby family itself. How much did the investigation, trials, ongoing operation hummingbird, Thirlwall Inquiry cost? Why would the CPS agree to the charges and subsequent costs to the public purse if they weren’t sure?

That article also says that any new charges would delay the CCRC process. Possibly another reason McD is rushing and half completing things. He’s trying to beat incoming charges.

Interview with Karen Rees, this woman is shameless.

She said Letby did everything by the book and everything right. Well taking home and retaining 257 handover sheets was against hospital policy. Rees must know it wasn't ethical to do all the Facebook searches of parents. She will be aware all the text messaging about patients was an infringement of confidentiality. She must know the frivolous texting whilst on duty and in clinical areas whilst she should have been caring for babies was not right. Karen Rees is a disgrace doing an article like this and insinuating Letby was a good, caring nurse who did everything right and by the book. Whatever she thinks about the verdicts of murder and harm Letby did so many things deliberately wrong that Rees as the most senior nurse in the Trust appears to be condoning.

It’s just infuriating that they’re doing all of this in the public domain.
If they wanted to do an appeal, just submit one to spare the parents.

There is no doubt at all after sitting through that trial for 10 months that she is guilty.
Not only do I believe the medical evidence that was presented at the trial, I also take into the consideration ALL of the other evidence that highlights her guilt too.
The main evidence being her own testimony

He's making himself look like an absolute idiot. Does he think a panel of hand picked experts chosen to find Letby innocent is going to cancel out two trials, 10 months of prosecution evidence and the testimonies of the people that were actually there, like the parents and the consultants. The absolute gall of this man.

Even if you could believe there was an acceptable reason for taking home all those handover sheets and somehow keeping them - there isn’t, but if there was - that still doesn’t explain why one was kept in pristine condition in a keepsake box, or at her parents (where she didn’t live for any of her nursing career?) in a box marked keep.
A few scattered between the bottom of her handbag, car door, coat pocket you could put down to being a bit rubbish at remembering to follow strict patient confidentiality rules. But 257? 😂 Nah, sorry. That’s 257 trophies.
She would not admit to having any sort of awareness of the handovers, despite having them under her bed, in different places and obviously taking them out of her pockets everyday to launder her uniform at which point she was aware. She said she didn't know how they ended up underneath the bed. I do think this was a calculated move on her part because if she had admitted awareness of them, then she would have been open for questioning about the organisation of them and how almost every single one in the charges came to be underneath her bed.

When Letby was arrested, she did not know which babies the medical experts would deem to be unexpected collapses. Yet, in the Morrisons bag she had handovers related to babies A-N, that's 13 babies.

She switched to the Ibiza bag after her holiday. So before the holiday, at that point in time, there was 14 babies that would later feature in the charges, (A-N) that's a very high correlation. Handovers for 13-14 babies.
She actually had handovers for every baby that she could at this point because there wasn't a handover featuring baby K.

6 of those babies never died, so what gave Letby the knowledge to have these handovers together at this time, when the babies collapses weren't considered suspicious until much later. These handovers are separate from the other 220-odd.

There was 31 handover notes in total underneath the bed, in the Morrisons bag.
She then had the handovers featuring babies O, P, and Q, In the Ibiza bag, which she used when she came "back with a bang"

I've gone home at the end of a shift with handover sheets in my uniform pockets but, shredded them immediately when I realised. This is what I don't understand - why had she got so many handover sheets?.....Additionally, why did Letby write down that she was a killer etc etc?
My own personal theory is, she's kept them as "trophies", not only from the murders but from other acts of harms. If I am correct in this, how do we know the over 250 handover sheets found were all from the same hospital? she has since been interviewed under caution about other suspicious deaths at other hospitals. There was also the matter of the handover sheets found in the "shredder box" at her room at her Mum and Dad's, how on earth do we know how much of these potentially incriminating sheets were shredded once she realised the net was closing in ?

Regarding Dr Lee's "expert" opinion. He has failed to disclose his interest in this case, he had the previous version of his 1989 paper dismissed at an earlier appeal, he's saying he has "looked at all the medical evidence" but failed to disclose that this was provided by Letby's team. Failed to mention that the paper wasn't central to the prosecution as consultants concluded the array of other factors apart from skin discolouration, could not have been accidental. Dr Lee also maintained Baby A had inherited a blood condition from their mother, which was found not to be the case in the trial. I could go on but my point is, there's no way on earth he's impartial. The revised edition of his findings failed to disclose his interest in the Lucy Letby case, we also have no evidence of these findings being peer reviewed, the original paper was a literary collation of other peoples work, and used a sample size of 52 babies.

The media needs to be held to account too, the level of journalism is shocking, all the public are seeing is headlines saying a "international neonatal expert finds letby didn't kill the baby's" and to most people, this has been enough to exonerate her. A large swathe of the public imagine her as a "making a murderer" figure. Even if Dr Lee's paper was enough, which it isn't as the prosecution ruled other factors in the embolism cases could not have been accidental, how about the insulin cases then ? It's the closest thing to a smoking gun and so far no experts have been able to debunk Lucy Letby had access to insulin and one of the babies found to have over 100 times the normal level of insulin, with no c peptie. Letby herself on the stand admitted a nurse must be responsible.

Innocent babies were either killed or attempted to be killed, all connected to one nurse who even had a written confession, but hey, it must be the department trying to cover their own failings.

One of the 14 experts is a nurse?

I don’t wish to sound like I’m disparaging nurses esp Nicu ones. I think they are incredible (except the killing types). But how on earth would she be qualified to determine causes of death / collapses?

View attachment 3399386

Eta: bearing in mind Lee has said he split the 14 into pairs and gave them both two babies to look at independently. So she was instructed to review the clinical details of the baby in the run up to a collapse / death. How is a nurse one of the best of the best for that kind of task? I could understand there could be valued input from a nurse but not in the manner Lee has described this.
it's also a bit odd that you need to scour the corners of the globe to find experts. What was his criteria for choosing them?

I'm also not clear if the experts absolutely excluded the prosecution witnesses' causes of death.

Don’t forget that pesky blood note reading (or whatever it was) that jumped from the bin and into her pocket which she “accidentally” took home…and stored under the bed with all the rest of those pesky notes

Edit to add - wonder if all those nurses in the comments defending taking handover notes home also went fishing in bins for things…

Well Tofino, firstly you can be blocked from posting by the thread originator. This is quite basic knowledge and can be easily found, my love.

Secondly as someone who obviously frequents Reddit, you’ll also know that your name crops up on the tattle forum Reddit as someone to actively avoid, so don’t mind me as I ignore and never interact with you again 🙂
How come your here if you have been blocked?

If you don't like it here then don't post. I have always found this thread to be informative and logical, we like to dicuss the evidence. She wasn't a scape goat as the hospital desperately tried to cover up what was happening.

What they have said about Dr B makes no sense. If he knew he had killed the baby with the needle then why push for a more indepht post mortem when the first hadn't shown it. People wanting to cover things up don't normally want more and more investigations.
This has been my argument all along about how the scapegoat theory just doesn’t stand to scrutiny. Nobody was asking the consultants questions about what happened in any of these cases! The execs didn’t give a shit about the increase in mortality - for any reason! They wanted the consultants to just shut up and everyone to get back to work. Including Letby.

Exactly …. I am so SICK of seeing her face all day every day in the MSM and whilst her sycophants peddle their ridiculous flawed narrative she’s smiling in her cell and the parents of these murdered babies hurt that bit more.
It’s grotesque and if we hadn’t had all the photos lifted from Facebook in the early days and just her evil mugshot I’m sure she wouldn’t have quite so many convinced of her innocence.
Same. I am sick of seeing her ugly, gormless, massive chinned face. The thick sycophants are giving her exactly what she craves attention, sympathy and a feeling of superiority that she has hoodwinked so many people.
