When did i say i was smarter? Others have come out with other explanations and said the test wasn't reliable on its own?
Also no need to be rude because there's other possible explanations. I've not plucked it out of thin air
Which others? Other leading paediatric endocrinologists?

I'm suggesting there is more to this case. As a neonatal nurse some of the 'evidence' doesn't add up and again from experience i just cannot see how she had the chance to do what she was accused of. She was either a criminal mastermind and her colleagues were turning a blind eye or she was a scapegoat for systematic failings.
I have read the documents and the evidence multiple times.
Out of curiosity you say some of the evidence doesn’t add up, so is there anything that makes you doubt her if have read all the evidence ?
And as a neonatal nurse, how many handover sheets have you taken home and kept in a box saying don’t destroy?
I do think the crimes as so heinous that people don’t want to believe anyone is capable of them.

The thing is, this type of crime does happen as much as people want to believe it doesn’t. Beverley Allitt and Harold Shipman, two of the most notorious examples, should be proof enough of that. Are peoples’ memories really that short? What makes the case against Lucy so exceptional?

That the babies could have died due to systematic failings, poor medical and nursing care, not murder. Nothing new to what has been recently said in the press.
There are other explanations for how air ended up in the stomachs, veins etc.
Funnily enough I haven't saved any in a box like that!
I think she was a deeply troubled individual but I'm not 100% convinced she's guilty and that's all I'm trying to say.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, of course! Maybe the nurse in me is naive like you say as how could someone hurt innocent babies.
All medications are locked away and double checked! especially the likes of insulin, it's not a drug used regularly on a level 2 neonatal unit. Again, everything is double checked and if infusions or medication is administered via a longline it's a sterile procedure and you need two members of staff to do this.
And if she added it to a bag of fluids already running i cannot see how she went a fridge, drew up insulin and administered it into a bag without someone noticing and asking if she needed a check or question what she was doing.
It's very different to adults where someone would have more opportunity to tamper.
Again I'm not saying she's innocent but I'm not 100% sure she's guilty either.
Yeah but she's not going to be asking someone to second check her stealing insulin is she. It would be perfectly possible for her to pop a vial of insukin into her pocket without anyone seeing, draw up a syringe full and then replace the vial at different times. Then quickly inject it into a bag. Do you watch your colleagues all the time? If you saw a nurse with a syringe near a baby would you think anything of it? Her whole point was not to be seen and not get caught so she picked opportune moments to carry out her crimes

Absolutely they happen.
Maybe the fact i work with these tiny humans and see how amazing they are the fact anyone would try harm them is beyond comprehension.

There are not other explanations. You do realise a press conference and news articles is not the same as testifying under oath in court? And being cross examined by the opposite legal team? Something which has already happened over a ten month trial with hundreds of witnesses and multiple experts of different professions.

Honestly read the wiki. It's neutral and full of information.

I also think she’s a deeply troubled individual.
I am glad you don’t keep handover sheets, It’s really not normal behaviour.
if you genuine believe that the babies died not as result of murder, was Lucy just very unlucky to be there for every occasion.
When is a coincidence no longer one…
Everyone of course entitled to opinion and that’s fine but remember she’s had 2 jury trials ( and they have sat through all the evidence for months ), 2 appeals been rejected and she did have a very good KC for her defence. So are all these judges that looked at the evidence wrong too as well as the jury that sat through it all and gave up their time.

The air embolisms could have been introduced when the line was inserted. Clots can form in lines and when flushed they break off.
Air in the stomach can be caused by respiratory support, Resuscitation attemps or happen post mortem.
Babies on respiratory support, for example on cpap end up with distended stomachs and loops of air in the bowel when xrayed.
I'm not disputing the causes of death just there are other explanations.

That's just it. Was she extremely unlucky or is she guilty? I've never said anyone is wrong I'm just Personally not 100% convinced she's guilty.

I find this type of response really frustrating though because this has been covered in court already, with experts including a paediatric radiologist and forensic pathologist testifying why those types of causes aren’t options for these particular babies. They have been ruled out. So therefore they are not alternative explanations for those babies.

Have you noticed the new defence panel doesn’t have any radiologists or pathologists in it?
