Well, when faced with so much evidence that the hospital management were so tit at their jobs, it becomes easy to forget that there are genuinely professional diligent people out thereWhen I read the transcripts and references to evidence it often blows my mind how they were able to collate everything and begin oral evidence within the space of a year.
They only publish evidence that is brought up in evidence and so far the lowest document number is INQ0000016 and the highest is INQ0108408. That suggests there is at least 108,408 documents in evidence. And each one may have multiple pages!!!
I wonder how big the inquiry legal team is to be co-ordinating all of this. Then the KCs able to pick out the relevant bits from it all that need questioning. I know it’s their job but it’s impressive to say the least.
Do we think Sarah Knapton is a freemason?Sarah Knapton on the case again highlighting Eirian Powell's disingenuous apology for Letby

She just makes herself look stupid trying to twist the narrative. She isn't going to be able to twist the inquiry findings and recommendationsDo we think Sarah Knapton is a freemason?
She states that Dr Gibb and Harkness were at a lot of the incidents but fails to mention the doctors appeared after the collapses. Dr Breary did a good job of explaining why Eirian's theories didn't make sense.
This blows my mind too! How they’re learning this information and able to interrogate people around it all so confidently! How do they retain it all?! Incredible people! I also think you have this type of brain @TofinoWhen I read the transcripts and references to evidence it often blows my mind how they were able to collate everything and begin oral evidence within the space of a year.

I don’t think women can be, otherwise I’d say yesDo we think Sarah Knapton is a freemason?![]()
Wonder if she has a partner/husband who isI don’t think women can be, otherwise I’d say yes
I’d be rubbish in person as I think too much and need to look things upThis blows my mind too! How they’re learning this information and able to interrogate people around it all so confidently! How do they retain it all?! Incredible people! I also think you have this type of brain @Tofino![]()
I think some of the babies which were flying under the radar, as he wasn't personally involved with their care. At the end, the executive's lawyer question him hard, saying he didn't report concerns to them. I think they will say they weren't given the full information at the time and blame the consultants.I’d be rubbish in person as I think too much and need to look things upthey seem to be able to react on the spot.
How far have you got with Dr B’s transcript? I’m about 20 pages in and I’m finding him a bit defensive tbh (with reasons, rather than attitude) and he definitely could have done more sooner.
Like this bit here with baby J. I don’t know why he wouldn’t have spoken to Dr Gibbs this far down the line. He can’t just say it was one baby when he already had concerns over previous deaths.

I finally finished! Yes I get what you mean about Dr B. He definitely fought their corner and was defensive at times but with pretty reasonable takes on things I think and apologetic when he really needed to be. Definitely awkward momentsI’d be rubbish in person as I think too much and need to look things upthey seem to be able to react on the spot.

More likely to be the editor of the Telegraph with the funny handshake I would guess.Do we think Sarah Knapton is a freemason?![]()

The disconnect I think is what sums it up for me. It’s really hard to understand you could have these possible fleeting thoughts that Letby could be harming babies and then not connecting it to everything else that is going on. I haven’t read any further yet but I can only assume you just convince yourself in some way you are being ridiculous especially when people above you are not taking it seriously either.I finally finished! Yes I get what you mean about Dr B. He definitely fought their corner and was defensive at times but with pretty reasonable takes on things I think and apologetic when he really needed to be. I think he tried to explain that the collapses like baby J’s had been normalised to some extent because she was causing utter chaos. Truly around the middle of the case I think she was doing lots of “smaller” but very significant acts. If you think she was pulling out tubes at LWH on almost half her shifts and a third of shifts had “life threatening incidents” then god knows what she was doing day to day that we are unaware of.
There does feel like such a strange disconnect from acknowledging there’s a potential killer and going about their days and not being on high alert to absolutely everythingit’s almost like they could let their minds wander to the possibility of air embolism because it almost seems more clinical as a method and they hadn’t imagined the abject cruelty and violence of forcing things down throats, possibly physically suffocating baby J to cause the seizure, whatever horrendous act she must have committed to cause the liver injuries
I think he is pretty consumed by it all still but in an analytical, super intelligent mind kinda way. He’s obviously been working on reviewing how neonatal units manage mortality and wants to improve services. Perhaps that helps with the weight of what happened. It’s interesting he’s no longer neonatal lead![]()

The best of intentions for bleeping Lucy Letby, not the babies you should have been caring for.
Concerns should have been taken seriously right from the get go, you would have thought at least one of them would have remembered Allitt and that no one saw her doing anything either. The arrogance of the management is astoundingOo bad news for Alison Kelly when she’s worthy of a bbc live feedshe’s pissing me off already. They’ve really latched on to this drawer of doom thing
It was totally obvious by a certain point that the doctors were saying this link between letby and deaths could be because of deliberate harm and regardless they should have been doing more about it. I love how in the next breath these fuckwits say “nobody saw her do anything/no evidence” like oh of what then cos a minute ago you said you didn’t know what Brearey and co thought could be going on yet you also had assessed that there was no evidence?! You can’t have it both ways! You can’t think somebody has a drawer of doom and also have no clue that anyone suspected letby of criminal behaviour. What did she think was the doom exactly? Photos of Letby’s taste in wall decals?
Perhaps the docs weren’t always explicit in their concerns because you and your mates acted like they’d be responsible for Letby’s suicide (#idontcare) or threatened their jobs or to report them!
