My blood pressure is being done no favours by this shitshow of a week. Jesus Christ. I hope the KC for the families rips into him tomorrow morning.

It's sickening that he took that stance in response to being told that the consultants were right. But I'm guessing he's been advised to say as he has, in the face of any further legal action against him. If he never admits she did it then he never admits liability.

All of them are just absolute rum, scattering to save themselves and torturing the families further. I'm so angry!

Exactly. Or he would have insisted the police were called to clear her name (we all know it wouldn't have done). I wonder what Letby told the parents for them to react like that. Why would you insist the Dr's were sacked and reported to GMC without clearing her name first. My feeling is he knew damn well she was capable of murder and wanted to stop the process from exposing her

Finished for the day, so TC back in morning as there's (I think) 3 teams that want to speak to him, everyone was exhausted, especially the stenographer. I'm got a work meeting soon, because unlike TC, I take safe-guarding seriously. So i'll write up my roving court report after; but wow, what a day and what a fkn scumbag TC is x

The b is on ITV news, he seems nervous but so so unapologetic. He literally said that Letby threatened guns to his head, not sure whether that is figurative or literal, but if it genuinely was literal and said, what kind of a bleep is John Letby.

If he was that tit scared of Letby and his behaviour, he had every power to stop their involvement which was utterly inappropriate from the get go with all the late night calls and being “angry” in meetings.

Alison Kelly repeatedly sounds like a 5 year old child. Whenever she is challenged on not doing something, she always comes back with ‘but they didn’t do it either’
