Transcript from the parents of the triplets is up.

This has really hit me, it’s so sad i can’t imagine how the parents must feel knowing they should have had 3 healthy boys had it not been for that evil cow. thank god they actually begged for Baby R to be moved or else he would have been next. She even wrote a bereavement card for all 3, must have been raging she couldn’t get hold of him.
Poor parents have had crap support from the Countess though, you would think it would have been opposite after what they have been through.

Why does know one listen to the mothers when they’re saying something? Honestly I’ve read so many experiences like this where the mother says something doesn’t feel right and she gets dismissed. She doesn’t even know what pain feels like silly woman 🙄😡

It’s always the same when it comes to women’s health. It’s never taken seriously, our experiences get brushed aside. I had a terrible experience with my first pregnancy and felt like nobody was listening to me.

I cried reading Mother OP&R’s statement. She had such a tit time anyway and for all this to happen on top of it. I really admire her strength and bravery and how she went out of her way to protect Baby R despite being in such physical and emotional pain.

What a harrowing and terribly heartbreaking read, that’s hit really hard …the
Mum & Dad of O,P & R 😔💔it really conveys the feeling of powerlessness everyone must have felt in the wake of these awful inexplicable collapses. Parents, staff, everyone except Letby.

So it was Dr U/is that no-name (?) who went to speak to Mum on the ward to explain about baby O needing extra breathing support but that it was all ok, only for he himself to then arrive back on the unit probably just minutes later with Mum and Dad to a scene of panic and chaos that he clearly wasn’t expecting. More attention seeking while Dr U was off unit, or would poor baby O still be suffering the effects of the original sabotage? Either way , it is utterly unbearable..

I really hope he is called to give evidence.

Also - I thought Dr no name was a registrar…by this point, was he a consultant, which seems to be suggested here…and a person of some seniority. Sorry, just thinking out loud here.

The whole experience of CoCH sounds dismal, depressing and chaotic. Probably a perfect place for an aspiring HSK to lurk undetected and unchallenged for so long. And all so vividly recalled - it must be a nightmare for these poor parents to have to relive this. They’ve been treated appallingly. I hope they can find some strength from finally being listened to ( sounds like mummy O,P, R wasn’t even given chance to speak at trial )😭

Stupid question and certainly one which has been answered before, but why can some doctors be named and others not?

Some of the doctors and nurses requested to be anonymous. In the case of Dr U/Noname its because he's a married man who had a close friendship with Lucy and didn't always behave very professionally.

Hammond is obsessed with trying to get Letby out of prison. I know it must be hard for Dewi Evans being constantly targetting by the truther nutters but it probably isn't wise to engage with the likes of Hammond, Knapton and Aviv they are just going to twist what he says

I can't stand Hammond. He's always been one for a bandwagon that he thinks will up his profile but he hasn't bothered to read any of the transcripts or the appeal judgement

Dewi Evans is probably hoping for a reasonable conversation based on the medical evidence. I doubt he will get that. Dr Hammond annoyed me on the channel 5 programme when he stated the babies were at high risk of death. On Twitter he says the case were too complicated for the unit but all the babies were stable before Letby got her hands on them.

The "statisticians" infuriate me as they seem to assume every baby in the CoCH had the same odds of survival (including multiples), which obviously they don't. Ie every baby in there has a 1/10 chance of collapsing or dying before the day is over, smaller for more prem babies, bigger for older ones (I'm making the number up as i don't know the exact stats, but you know what I mean) But that simply isn't true from a medical perspective. Every child was unique in its medical and physiological condition, and the point of the investigation and trial was that these days and collapses were UNEXPECTED, hence she wasnt charged for every single death or collapse on the unit. They were stable (ie 90% chance of making it through the day or whatever) and collapsed for no obvious medical reason. When you look at the fact that Letby was there for all the times that apparently stable babies crashed for no obvious medical reason, the stats start to look very bad for her indeed.
The more I hear from them, the more convinced I am that these people don't actually understand statistics. It's incredibly embarrassing for the Royal Statistical Society that their members seem unaware of stuff like this.

“Multiple documents outlining his clinical diagnoses which he is happy to share”

Surely they can’t make the medical information for these babies a free for all can they?

Oh FFS. 🤦🏻‍♀️
what astounds me more than anything is these so called professionals happy to speak out publicly knowing full well they haven’t seen the medical records for the babies. They haven’t seen any scans or post mortem reports. Why would you put your reputation at risk in such a way? I hope I don’t ever need real life medical advice from any of them if they are happy to make diagnosis and decisions in this way.

They are literally basing their viewpoint off media reports, many of which have now massively misconstrued evidence beyond recognition. I bet they haven’t even read the original live reporting from Chester standard. They are just reading things their mates are writing and stuff like the New Yorker. Commentary that deliberately omit critical evidence.
