God the treatment the poor woman recieved on the labour ward is disgraceful. And sadly I know women experience this up and down the country.
Hit a little close to home 😭 why don’t they listen to us? So awful.

45ml is just over 1.5oz which is what my 9.3lb born 40wk, just about managed when she was a newborn. Seems an insane amount for a little dot of a baby
Just read the article posted below, she had 45mls left in her stomach AFTER she vomited. Dear God, she must have been force fed soooo much milk and looking at your daughters weight, she was about a ninth of that so I'm guessing she should only have had 4 or 5 mls in total, maybe less? That's appalling, she must have been in so much pain 😢

Because we are women!

Probably seen as silly, emotional women 🙄
It's in the news today that doing harm in maternity is becoming normalised. It's so so wrong, I've suffered first hand and have the PTSD tick and EMDR emotional scars to prove it. As well as women being subjected to painful hysteroscopies without pain medication. It's 2024 and it should be better than this. 😔

Was it child G that BNE proved she was lying because of her text messages. Something to do with she agreed feeding would take two hands and be done slowly, but the window of messaging meant it was a really short amount of time. So she was either messaging whilst actually feeding the baby, or it proved she fed the baby quickly. Or was that an older baby.
I didn't think that was child G but I might be wrong.

No I think it’s actually a baby not on the indictment so just goes to show really she gave absolutely no care to these babies.

and all the previous maternity scandals. Why does nothing change?!? I don’t believe funding/nhs cuts is a good enough excuse tbh. I think this is deeply rooted poor attitudes towards women at societal level. Did the consultants and nurses ignoring the mum of baby D think ‘we can’t let her have a c sec yet because of funding?’ No. They just weren’t listening to her, thought they knew better. The attitudes towards her were so condescending. I wonder if they are worse with first time mums?

I fortunately had a good birth experience but I was told because I could talk through my contractions on the phone to them I was not far along in labour, and that i could go in to be checked but if I was only a few cm dilated I would be sent away. Turned out I was 7cm and gave birth less than an hour later.

Is she implying that that vile creature purposely put the doctor on the phone to Baby B’s parents? Evil! Absolutely evil. How can anyone believe she is innocent. I could honestly cry for them.
Yes although Baby B’s mum said she rang as she usually does (so hopsital didn’t call her like Baby D’s mum says) but usually they just put her trough to nurse but someone put her through to the doctor “in error”.

Yeah this was really hard to pick up on in the reporting but we all had our suspicions that’s what she’d done. Absolutely awful. Surely though he wanted to be speaking to another medic not the parent mid resus. It’s just evil. Just a sick game.

i just have total disbelief still that a baby like Baby D, essentially full term, with no sign of infection in her bloods, no overwhelming infection that could have killed her let alone as rapidly as that.. could have ever been signed off as dying from infection?? No wonder the consultants refused to let this go and said that the clinical pictures were not adding up. It’s unbelievable they weren’t listened to.

I think it was a baby she was looking after in one of the nursery rooms. She was constantly texting one of the off duty nurses constantly over a long period of time during which she had recorded having given a feed. NJ showed that she had been texting whilst giving the feed and it required two hands to do the feed (as confirmed by Letby herself). Letby said something along the lines of "you think I pushed it through" and I think NJ said something along the lines of "I do". He was demonstrating her texting in a clinical area as well as texting whilst giving a feed. Letby had previously said she didn't use her phone in a clinical area so he was showing that she hadn't been truthful.

My blood pressure was low this morning. It bleeping isn’t now! What the duck is wrong with these people?
Well he’s just blatantly making things up now. Because these parents were writing letters to the hospital and coroners and consulting solicitors even before the inquests happened. Long before the police were involved.
---
So the coroner for baby D consulted an independent consultant paediatrician and even he said the collapse was sudden and unexpected. I don’t recognise this name so not sure if he was involved in the trial. The transcript doesn’t say what his report says (from what I’ve read so far). It just moves on to Ian Harvey stuff.

Here we go again, Channel 5 doing *another* Letby innocence fraud documentary, and look which crank they are using as a source !!!
JHC

There's not much that can be done about the internet and newspapers but C5 gets a license from the government for Freeview broadcast. It can't be right for it to be used like this. I'm going to contact my MP about this and I urge others to do the same.

Edit: looking further into it- Freeview: "We are owned and supported by the UK’s leading public service broadcasters – the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5."

So maybe the government needs to be asked to review these broadcasters' responsibilities. Taxpayers money should not be funding a platform to peddle these despicable lies.

The media are very quiet on the inquiry today. It might have been a short day as I think it was only Baby I’s mum. ETA oh ignore me! Baby I is from Tuesday and I forgot the media are not able to hear all parents so have to wait for the transcript like us. That’s probably what happened today too.
