CS2CR just put an enquiry video up. It's over 4hrs long and looks like a recording of events, so those of you that missed out might be able to rematch most of it on there.

I was hoping he might come through!!! Yes! Thanks for sharing 🥰

So it took them almost one whole year to go to the police after they were advised to? That is truly shocking.

I know this was discussed this morning, but I wonder why the inquiry is exploring this. I know it is standard training but I wonder if they are concerned with the content. Maybe not to do with inspiring serial killers but in terms of actions of nurses in general regarding things like insulin administration. Depending what came out of the allit inquiry. It must have some significance if they are bringing in a senior lecturer to inform the inquiry.

The tea party was a big power play. They'd gone to all that effort and she was cool and aloft. Didn't want to build bridges and come across as a victim. Got Mummy and Daddy involved, why was her mum reading a statement out on her behalf when she was there?
God I missed that bit! Fuuuuck. Did her mum really do that? Where did you hear that?

No mention of Kathryn Bergerac’s involvement today.

Even Letbys father told them to phone the police.
I can’t believe she was allowed to go to Alder Hay in the midst of all this, Dr noname has a lot to answer for too, he knew she was being investigated for harming patients yet here she was allowed to wonder about Alder Hay.

My little twins were born at 26 weeks in June 2016, in a different hospital in the same network as CoCH. So basically babies are shifted round - I think 3 - hospitals depending on bed space. I remember when they closed Chester and babies were brought in from there to our unit. I know lots of the drs mentioned in the trial, Dr H was at the birth of my twins, and a friend of mine worked at CoCH when it all happened. She said LL was weird but nice, and she completely believed the hospital had asked the police to get involved to make sure there wasn’t anything going on.
I find it all so weird to get my head around, my little surviving twin is now 8, and has a real sense of anxiety over LL. I just can’t comprehend any of it. Sorry for the derail - I’m going to try and read through although I find it all too close to home, and very difficult reading.

So when Lucy Letby was doing whatever she was doing at Alderhay...
Was she being paid by Countess of Chester to be doing whatever she was supposed to be doing there?

Mr Harvey to the consultants - “all emails cease”

Mr Harvey to the inquiry - I did not intend to stop the discourse.

Edited to add- just after this part, they say Dr Gibbs emails and gave the clinical picture for “2 patients”. With the implication being that picture meant they had to go to police/take it very seriously. Again I would have thought if this was a baby from the case they would mention them by letter. Seems to be these 2 babies again that raised direct concerns of harm that we’ve not heard about.

I loved how they just ignored Ian Harvey.

Mr Harvey replied: "Ravi – this is absolutely being treated with the same degree of urgency – it has already been discussed and action is being taken. All emails cease forthwith.”

Dr Gibbs continued the email chain.

Allitt also attacked with air, seems she was Letby's role model.

Yep. They also think she may have used drugs other than insulin and I wonder this about Letby. She also physically harmed them like Letby, she crushed the ribs of one of the baby twins. I think she asphyxiated some kids too which is what Letby was doing to baby K essentially. I have no doubt she was denying oxygen to babies that needed it or smothered babies like baby J who had an unexplained seizure out of nowhere.

sorry I probably didn’t explain myself well. Letby might have been inspired by Allitt but the inquiry won’t be looking at what Letby’s motivations and inspirations were. I don’t think they are going to say we can’t teach nurses about Allitt because it may inspire a serial killer.

Just thinking out loud but could be things like, were there any missed opportunities due to abnormal behaviour during the training? What does the training cover to allow nursing staff ensure they identify abnormal behaviour on the ward? What do they cover in terms of safeguarding insulin administration etc.

I think they might be looking at it in terms of what measures from her inquiry and the Clothier report were being upheld 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is it on today or back tomorrow?

There is a thing in committees where the most argument is generated by the smaller items on the agenda, whereas larger items are waived through.

It was described on a radio show I heard years ago by reference to Adenbrookes spending days arguing about car parking charges, whilst rubber stamping a multi million pound heart centre.

I mention this because listening to the inquiry the subject of the police becoming involved was raised much earlier in events, and by more people, than I had previously thought.

And yet, everyone for various reasons, appeared more concerned with with what on the face of it were smaller matters than confronting the possibility that criminal activity had occurred.
