They are bleeping deranged. it was funny until they brought the consultants into it.

feeling lonely and sad, as you flutter round your cage, staring through the bars, you cannot turn the page

Freedom seems so distant, you just can’t escape, summer turned to autumn, as you slowly hibernate

The cavalry is coming, so keep your head held high, shine bright like a diamond, like a star in the sky

The predators still roam the wards, with a smile on their face, men of little honour, men of little grace

they think they’re king of the jungle, but they’re no lions pride, autumn turned to winter, and still the truth they hide

The cavalry is coming, so keep your head held high, shine bright like a diamond, like a star in the sky

but now a swarm has risen, no longer you stand alone, winter turned to spring, a brand new seed is sown

We all came together, to heed your battle cry. United we now stand, to free the yellow butterfly

The cavalry is coming, so keep your head held high, shine bright like a diamond, like a star in the sky

It’s quite fascinating (and scary) seeing how easy it is for misinformation to be spread. Once you’ve got someone who seems to be credible, just because he’s an elected MP? He’s given lots of air time and what he says is taken as fact?

Somebody sent him alternative theories of death for the babies. Someone who can’t possibly have seen the medical reports or been sat in court whilst it was cross examined. The evidence for each baby would take 3-4 days of expert and witness testimony. And these people read a couple of (biased) news articles and think the jury got it wrong. 🙄
---

maybe not intentionally but if he and other journalists were made to sign something then maybe he believes everyone who sat in the public gallery did. But I certainly didn’t.
I've just listened to the David Davis GMB interview and it's obvious he has very little knowledge of the 10 month trial. He's been totally brainwashed by the likes of Gill and he's just basically copied off what they've said. It's absolutely outrageous for him to say "it's highly probable she's innocent" when he clearly knows very little about the evidence and is spouting rubbish such as they could have died because of an external infection. Apparently he says someone has given an alternative reason for each of the deaths (what a load of bull). He's written to Myers but hasn't had a reply (I wonder why). Many gullible people will just listen to him and believe this tit. He also says he has sympathy for the families (more bull). Letby, the martyr, will probably be sitting in her cell basking in all of this.

Saying ‘highly probable she’s innocent’ is a very bold thing to say, especially for someone who said himself he hadn’t looked at the evidence.

Saying she’s innocent is completely different to saying there are concerns around the conviction being unsafe due to a problem with the evidence.

Independent have reported on it

Speaking of his plans, he has previously said: “I may not be allowed to, her lawyer may say no; she may say no. That’s got to be with her permission.

“For me to do anything about this, I’ve got to be at least three-quarters persuaded that she’s innocent. I’ll read millions of words of evidence over August and come to a conclusion in probably September or maybe October.

“But if I do come to the conclusion that she’s innocent, I’ll be raising it in parliament and seeking to get a criminal case review commission referral.

“If it doesn’t persuade me, then I won’t waste the prison governor’s time. If I conclude that Letby is guilty, then I’m going to drop this.”

BIB answers what was being discussed the other day about where he can go with it as an MP with some parliamentary privilege.

I started reading this thread backwards and thought you were all taking the piss about what a song about her would be like from the nutters, but it's...real  they HAVE to be trolling surely?! It's hard for me to imagine men like that actually exist.

As for that dude on GMB-I usually watch it religiously but missed it this morn, I'm SO glad about that as I would've been enraged. it's almost always men who think she's innocent isn't it? And I thought only sad women lusted after serial killers.

she is sitting in a cell - and will be for the rest of her life. that's all that matters.

I completely agree, shocking that he was given such a large platform to spread mistruths, people watch the news and look at MP’s and just assume that what they hear is the truth. I’m actually disgusted that they allowed him on there to say that stuff. Let’s be honest, he’s just looking for something to do now that his party isn’t in power any more. What a sad, pathetic little man. I’d like to see him in a room with BNE, Justice Goss and the families of the baby and then see how confident he is to spout his tit.

David Davis was Brexit Minister in 2016/17. He was officially reprimanded for misleading Parliament on risk assessments he claimed had been extensively applied to all aspects of the Brexit "oven ready deal" . When he was also on record admitting to a parliamentary oversight committee that no such risk assessments had been undertaken on any aspect of anything to do with Brexit.

He was for an example of his ethical framework, the genius behind the ferry deal which saw a company which owned precisely NO seaworthy vessels be awarded the multibillion pound contract to bring all EU sourced cargo into Dover.
Of course he and many other Tories turned out to be major shareholders in that not actually a ferry company.

It seems the upcoming inquiry is leading to all manner of articles about her prosecution being unsafe. Just read this on The Guardian about her post it notes being a therapy tactic she was advised to do and that they should have been meaningless as evidence

i see our old friend the strawman making his usual appearance.

"Richard Curen, the chair of the Forensic Psychotherapy Society, who has worked as an expert witness and with victims and offenders for 25 years. “Doodling, journalling is a way of taking control of your thoughts. I don’t think it relates to a confession of any kind,”

the prosecution never said these were confessions.

to think i actually used to buy the Guardian. I'd only get it now if it was cheaper than toilet paper.

Lucy was undergoing extreme stress because she was about to be found out. The notes are her way of dealing with her thoughts and feeling about it. She writes about what an evil horrible person she is and imagining how terrible it will be when people see the true her.

Sources close to the case have told the Guardian that the Countess of Chester hospital’s own head of occupational health and wellbeing, Kathryn de Beger, encouraged Letby to write down her feelings as a way of coping with extreme stress. Letby’s Chester GP also advised her to write down thoughts she was struggling to process, according to these sources.
Sources close to the case? Someone close enough to “know” what happened in Letby’s GP appointments? And after all those years pre-trial Letby and Myers just forgot to mention this part? (Or was it mentioned but just not reported)

De Beger gave Letby counselling over several sessions as part of support arranged by the hospital.
Head of occupational health gave counselling sessions? Is that normal in the NHS? I find that utterly bizarre that a senior manager would give their own employee counselling sessions. I find this hard to believe unless someone tells me it’s normal for that kind of role in the nhs.

The fact that writing the notes had been advised as part of counselling was not mentioned in court.
But no expert forensic psychologists were called to give evidence on how to interpret the notes.

And why would Myers choose not to do that I wonder?

Honestly makes me wonder if this “source” is Berger herself, presuming she will be called to testify in the inquiry.
