Two weeks ago Lucy Letby was found guilty unanimously of attempted murder of baby K by a new jury during a retrial after the jury from the first trial last year failed to reach a verdict.

She was sentenced to a whole life order which takes her collective total to 15 whole life orders for the murder of seven babies and attempted murder of seven others (including baby K).

The inquiry into the events surrounding Lucy Letby’s crimes is in its early stages, details can be found here on the Thirwall Inquiry dedicated website. The next hearing should be in September 2024.

Faux psychologist and stupid bint Emma Kenny is trying whip up the fanatics on twitter

At least there are some news outlets talking common sense

oh she piped up towards the end of the trial last year just before she had her baby. I’m sure she said she hadn’t read all the evidence.

Every article always leads back to the same names, none of whom are the slightest bit credible. Emma Kenny being one of them 🙄

Yeah, she ‘listened’ to the entire trial. She must really know her stuff.

I’m not surprised she thinks there is reasonable doubt if she only listened to 2 x 20 minute podcast episodes each week.

Hardly covers 10 months of complex evidence does it.

They keep going on and on about statistics but they don't know what happened with the other babies. Lucy always gave them IV medicine just before the air embolism, or was by their side as they suddenly filled with air, she was always giving the alarm.

There is much more to come or why else is millions being spent on operation Hummingbird. There were obviously problems at Liverpool Women's which would have been a different set of staff.

Going through through Thirlwall inquiry must be stressful for Lucy's work colleagues. You wonder why anyone would want to set her up and then face such scrutiny.

She is an anti-vaxxer and was constantly trying to persuade people to break lockdown rules during the height of covid and visit elderly relatives and not wearing marks. Her unhinged rants she got dropped from This Morning.

She clearly has a mistrust of medical professionals (real ones not pretend ones like her) and believe in conspiracy theories . I'm not surprised at all that she jumped on this bandwagon.

It's so insulting not only to the poor babies and their families but also the barristers, the judge and both juries, as well as the judges at the court of appeal. Petby couldn't have had better representation yet the crazies are trying to pass him off as a bit of an idiot. Twitter is a total nutter fest, I suppose because I've read a few of their posts, the algorithms are now filling up my feed with them.

It is annoying how they only cherry pick certain pieces if evidence in isolation, instead of viewing the case in it's entirety. The overwhelming amount of circumstantial evidence is damning.

The conspiracy theory about using Letby as a scapegoat to cover up hospital failings is ludicrous. Surely allowing a serial killer to get away with murdering babies for a year is far worse for the reputation of the trust than poor care.

I also feel sorry for the doctors who are getting targetted and having their names smeared. Dr Ravi is getting loads of abuse on social media.

And Dewi Evans, they basically want to take him out. They are vile, nasty people.

I presume because he did actually catch her red handed, which blows their ‘no witnesses’ theory.
As does Baby E’s poor mum who I hope is paying them no attention.
All this banging on about statistics is getting on my nerves, what statistics? A shift rota? Christ you’d use that to find out who was on duty when you’re looking for the owner of an abandoned cardigan. Hardly technical.

It's so weird. I think they think you need statistics to prove everything, there's a thread on X saying about how weird it is to keep lots of handover sheets at home, and this guy is there saying you need statistics to PROVE it's odd? I wish the lot of them would just shut up

bleeping Bayesian fanboys. The idea that doing enough stats will set her free is infuriating for those of us with a scientific/rationalist bent who are watching in horror as people with just enough brain cells to be dangerous discover Bayes Theorem and think that it can explain everything

bleeping bat tit crazy the lot of them. They actually think she’s going to be walking out of prison by Christmas 🤣
Maybe she will be clutching her bag for life with all the paper she has collected around the prison since it seems to be an obsession of hers 🤔

I wonder if there is some sort of media embargo / injunction currently against people coming out with more negative stories about her, due to Op Hummingbird still going ahead - we haven’t really heard anything since the flurry of articles post the first conviction - especially as we expected a lot of weird tit about her to come out the woodwork, esp after hearing the rumours of things like the heel prick massacre etc on the FB groups.

Probably also why it’s giving confidence to the dumbass pro-Letters as still have this view of much maligned Angel Luce 💕 if no one can say anything still

Yeah I hope something big is being worked on and is released when appropriate to reassure that the evidence was there and she is in fact a serial killer of the most vulnerable victims. I hope whatever it is, is also led very much by the parents and has their blessing. Because ultimately, it appears they have been forgotten by many shouting about her innocence which is disgusting tbh

Operation Hummingbird have said, they plan to visit Letby in prison, to ask her to plead guilty to more attempted murder charges, apparently they relate to her placement at Liverpool Women's.

Operation Hummingbird appear to have been investigating this since 2017 and plan to continue until 2027.

Did anyone manage to find where Dr Breary mentions the 13 baby deaths?
I think it was maybe E Powell who said it. I’m sure it was the last thing she said on the stand 🤔
---
Found this. They would have been looking into every death then not just the ones they brought charges for.

The telegraph article last week seemed to hint that baby E and F had suffered from Twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Did anyone pick up on that. Has it been disclosed elsewhere.
Genuine question.

Ah, Powell’s evidence is on the main wiki page because it wasn’t about any specific baby

That must have been annoying for her colleagues. Lucy was constantly causing medical drama and then reporting any mistakes that anybody else made.

I read somewhere that two of the babies that died were going to die anyway. There was a baby who died unexpectedly and then they found a rare heart defect, so probably thought it wouldn't stand up in court. There was a little boy with muscular dystrophy who was doing well but suddenly died in his sleep. He was christened in the NNU and Letby made a card.
