This thread is more or less made up of people who followed the entirety of the trail and the daily live reporting. I would say the opinion of most users on here is much better informed than the likes of Nadine Dorries and anyone else that has questioned the verdict in the media yet doesn't seem to have a clue about it. There's a reason why more or less everyone is in agreement that Letby is guilty and that's because she is. Pop over to websleuths where the users scrutinized each piece of evidence in detail and you will see the same: basically everyone in agreement with Letbys' guilt. Lucyletby Reddit is the same. Followed from day 1 and it's a massively guilty consensus.I didn’t say anywhere that people defending vociferously her are not ghoulish both ends of the spectrum would fit the criteria in my opinion. This thread is just dominated by those who agree with the verdict. I just saw the thread and had a read and shared my thoughts. I’m as entitled as anybody else to an opinion. It makes sense that those who are very interested and/or with strong feelings are very active on a thread about it and those with less intense feelings are not as actively interested enough to post regularly.
Do you see the pattern there? People that followed the trial from the beginning concluding that Letby is guilty Vs people that seem to skim read details and decide there's something not right. Twitter is full of them. They have mostly foud out about the trial afterwards
I think it was important to be able to follow the trial as it was happening.
And while im at it, the insulin evidence is conclusive. The test was the same used to convict Beverley Allitt. Even the people that think there has been a miscarriage cannot explain it. Baby F was given exogenous insulin. The test is more than 99% accurate. The babies had sustained hypoglycemia confirmed by multiples blood tests. That hypoglycemia had a cause. The insulin and c peptides were tested and there is a clear discrepancy pointing towards administered insulin rather than a naturally occurring insulinoma or other causes. This is why it’s not a false lab result: you have the symptomatology, it resolved when the bags were changed (meaning the source of insulin was removed) and there was no special treatment given beyond dextrose to correct the blood sugar deficiency/counteracting the effects of insulin.
Letby was the sole signer of the TPN bag and hung the medication for baby F. She was not the designated nurse for baby F. She then falsified the reading. She recorded the only "normal" reading in 18 hours, just before she left.
There's no innocent explanation for that.
