If she's found not guilty in the re-trial for baby K then will that change things- like will it give her another chance of appeal or is it done and that's it?

Has anyone here been listening to The Trial podcast that covers this case?

I can't find it on Spotify anymore and think it might have been removed, I was only part way through 😞

Sorry just added the link above.

It was the murders of two young girls in a small town in America but a lot of strange circumstances and will be an interesting trial. There are a couple of interesting podcasts on it which are worth a listen before the 13th if you have time!!
Oh thank you very much!

Probably an unpopular opinion but I’m not sure why they are going ahead with the baby k retrial. It was quite a weak case (evidence wise) and the fact a new jury will have to learn all the medical terms and protocol etc .. and for what? Shes never getting out anyway. And how on earth can she really get a fair trial for it? I mean how can the jury pool not be tainted at this point?
I think it’s just a bit mental tbh
Imagine if some of those losers from the Facebook groups end up on the jury! There must be good and valid reasons why they have gone for retrial though surely? Was it one of those where the jury couldn't reach a decision?

Was baby k originally a murder charge and they decided to drop it to attempted murder?
I might be getting confused but I remember that case as very weak tbh. She only weighed a bag of sugar and was very very premature (23 weeks) and died only 3 days after birth in a different hospital. Dr Ravi J only seen LL at the cot and nothing else? Apart from that what was there?

Just wondering, does anyone know if Letby would have found out the appeal decision today or would she have already known?

I’ve not been on this thread for a while but have some vague memory of baby K trial scheduled for February gone. Am I right, and why was it not? Does this application to appeal take precedence?

Interesting. And that he will be covering the Delphi case. That goes on trial on the 13th May and there’s an existing thread on it if anyone wants to follow along.
I’m not sure what the Delphi case is? Did that happen in this country? Probably worth me finding the thread you mentioned.
