Yes, you press the button in the deliberation room to say you have reached a verdict. Usher tells the judge and if the court is ready (sometimes need some time to get everyone sorted) you are taken down. Foreperson is asked if the jury have reached verdicts and the it's very quick.

On count 1, how do you find the defendant?

It's very quick and very clinical. There is no stopping for people getting emotional.
