The jurors clearly don’t want to go back to work….dragging it out for as long as they possibly can.

I just know the verdicts gonna come when I'm away with unreliable WiFi. Just know it.
Honestly, I feel like an utter fool for being a bit glum about it probably being announced when I’m away now. I would rather that than it take another second for the parents obviously! It’s just a bit of a strange feeling. I probably won’t see it through with you guys till the end! I know I’ll without a doubt check in way more than I should 🫣 but there’s every chance I’ll miss it! I just feel I will need you guys “with me” 😰 sorry if I sound mad ha.

I was thinking this earlier you know! What if they quite like the late starts and early finishes, and they’ve been doing it long enough that I’m sure this does feel like their actual job now, it’ll be hard to just pop back to their old jobs and slot back in. But then I thought SURELY they wouldn’t actually drag something like this out unnecessarily though 😕

Who is away next week? Is @DellaC away all next week too? How long is @docmum away for?

Anyone else?

I don't know about not going back to work thing. I know they have been a pain and I know they need to sort it out but I can't see anyone wanting to stay on such an upsetting trial just to get out of work

10 months off work….I’m not sure I’d want to go back too.

Although I wouldn’t want to put the parents through that either.

I’ve been doing some information gathering (because I don’t have anything better to do, like pack for holiday!)

Partial verdicts… may not get reported until all verdicts are in. And if any verdicts are hung jury and need retrial, they may still not get reported because it could influence a future trial.

Also it’s possible Judge Goss may never take a partial verdict if he feels resolving other charges may influence earlier ones. which given the way prosecution have grouped cases makes me think it’s highly likely.

so partial verdicts may only come at the end if they come to a deadlock on any remaining charges.

Based on the question about baby H asked on 27th July, they seem to be doing a baby/charge per day. If you take off the Friday morning and no show Mondays then they could only be hitting Q today. They then may want to review each charge and check the verdict. They obviously don't all agree that because she's done some she should automatically be guilty for them all. It's also possible that a juror struggled to understand the evidence and didn't take much in and then demanded to have all the evidence explained to them before they would make a decision.

As none of the new visitors to the thread yesterday managed to give a valid reason for why they thought Letby was innocent then surely the jurors must know she's guilty.
I hope so. I am starting to get stressed at all the melts on reddit getting all gleeful that the jurors obv aren’t agreeing / reckoning it’s deff going to be NG. Might have to step away, but it’s as compelling as a scabby knee is to my 3yr old to pick

I think @Haveyouanywool had a real point about attacking twins giving her greater opportunity to continue to witness the suffering of the parents. I also wonder if it felt like the ultimate achievement for her. Something Bev tried but couldn’t manage. I think it’s why she’s so happy in the debrief after the triplets deaths and why she was offering them photos as if it was a bounty pack.
What better way to witness the parents grief and anxiety than if they were still coming to the unit because of their surviving baby (or babies).
She could still simper around them a lisping super nurse imitator.
Evil cow.

She sent rather a lot of texts about them didn’t she? Describing their grief, going on about how she was the one to do this and that. She was the one to “convince” baby C’s parents to stay with their baby whilst he died and not rush off home remember 🤢
She likes to go on about how they all thanked her so much. Vile creature.

Obviously none of us will ever know, but do you think maybe she was traumatised by the death of that baby in Lpool hospital - the one where apparently the nurse said she'd get over it if she replaced it with another dying one - oh wait, as I write that I realise how ridiculous that statement is and there's no way the nurses could have ever said that. Ignore me...

111 have advised us to take little man to A+E so we're on our way. I think it's another chest infection but because he can't tell us how he's feeling they want to rule other stuff out.
