Any news on your daughter @mrs.darcy x
She's going to be in hospital for the next couple of days at least, she's on a drip(s) for fluids antibiotics, is getting paracetamol and anti sickness meds. She's got some sort of infection and they are keeping her in until they work out what it is, she's having a chest x-ray and has to have an ultrasound on her kidneys. SIL says she's been a bit delusional (his words) but we think that's due to her high temperature and possible dehydration.

I'm going to try and see her later today, but you have to book a visiting slot so I'll do that when I've been to the funeral.

It’s weird isn’t it. There was never any weird “I just can’t believe it/I don’t want it to be true/it must a conspiracy” comments about that disgusting vile pos that murdered that poor baby & got sentenced recently who had such severe injuries it was like that poor baby had been in a car accident (ya know, like one of Letby’s victims). I’d never ever want to believe a person would be capable of doing that to a baby, never mind someone that was meant to be looking after that baby. Nor would I want to believe the mother of said child could stand by and let it happen. But no one cries “conspiracy” here 🙄 LL had 0 emotional connection to these babies and you think that means she couldn’t have done it when someone that’s actually birthed a child can murder said child??
people baffle me man 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I do think it’s a bit mean the tone of your reply, let’s not forget this is a 19 year old, who’s experience of the world and life is still very limited, a lot of 19 year olds are very naive, not saying muffinman is, or that all younger people are, just that I can understand a younger persons reasoning for thinking NG more than someone older with more life experience.

I also think it’s not fair to pile on immediately anyone who thinks NG, as clearly there still lots of people who do think that judging by them interesting Reddit mock jury results, I want to hear their reasoning without them being scared of openly saying they think NG.
If the poster has lurked on these threads prior to joining, they will know that we have discussed the ins and outs of this case for over 10 months. The overall consensus on this thread is guilty. Whilst nobody likes an echo chamber, it can lead to disagreement and admin have threatened to close the group down.

*most of us are here for the families who have had their babies taken from them. It's an emotive subject*

The poster wont find many members on here who agree with their stance...therefore, they may be suited to Facebook.

If the poster has any reason why they believe LL is not guilty, then they are free to share their opinions but it won't be taken kindly by those of us who believe she's a murdering c*nt.

See, god forbid someone has a different view 🫣
Sorry were we supposed to say you made some excellent points, ones like the crap nurse theory that the defence themselves or Lucy haven’t gone with? Ok. Great points 👍🏻 I’m sure it explains away 9 months of evidence and years of investigation.
I wonder why though, she’s happier to go through this whole process than admit she forced air into babies by overriding the machines safety mechanisms etc because she is actually just a really shit nurse. Does that explain the insulin too then? Why wouldn’t she say? Better to do a whole life order for it? She can’t even accept that she text constantly whilst on shift let alone that she would put unprescribed insulin in a TPN at lethal dose. Did she brutally injure the babies liver by mistake? And all the blood? Better to leave it open that she murdered them than say how she accidentally caused excessive bleeding? You have your opinion all you want, knock yourself out. It’s just that it makes absolutely no sense at all.

It’s ok. At first I thought you were being patronising but I have been here and have looked at everything I can - and I’m just not entirely convinced.

Let’s hope we never see anything like this case again because the other 5 babies bother me. There simply isn’t a smoking gun here but a lot of circumstantial evidence, and as I said before, some of those babies collapsed when LL wasn’t on duty so it doesn’t suit to charge her for those cases because she'll be not guilty - which weakens the cases she is charged for.
The other five babies are simply not relevant to this trial. It’s not reasonable doubt to speculate on something that has not even been presented in court.

Imagine being on that jury and knowing she's guilty on every single charge, voting guilty on every single charge on day 1 and then having to spend the past however many thousand million weeks it's been listening to your fellow jurors pontificate over every little detail. Guaranteed at least one juror in that room just wants to scream until they pass out by now.

If you can use genuine logic as to why you think she’s not guilty, without mentioning scapegoating, nhs cover ups and doctor conspiracies all whilst being respectful to the families who’ve lost their babies I’ll hear it out. If not piss off
This is what I love about this group and also why I think it's hasn't descended into an absolute shit show like so many other threads. Fools were not suffered here. No "be kind" bullshit worked when others cried that we were being "mean" by not listening to their "I just have a feeling" and gobbledygook. Babies were murdered and I think that gave everyone here the strength to rightly tell the idiots, contrarians and Lucy letby fangirls to kindly fuck off if they can't articulate an argument for their stance.

We have to suffer idiots all to frequently in our real lives, I cannot and will not suffer the insult to these babies memories and to their devastated and victimised families here.

Get your kicks elsewhere and fuck off to Facebook.

Been awhile since the redhaze descended on me here 🤪 but my baby would have been one of the ones that these people would have so readily written off as "they were going to die anyway" and I just spent the day amazing at her.

I can bet that the police thought it a bombshell finding a note saying “I killed them on purpose” “I’m evil” in possession of the person that had been there at every sudden and unexpected death 🫠 especially after Dewi found out about the poisoner on the ward. Which Letby appppppppparently finds out about in her police interview and doesn’t exactly seem shocked or worried about 🫣 she seems to accept very quickly there was a poisoner “it wasn’t me that did it”.

I'm mostly a lurker. I was only able to create an account here in early July.

I'm different to most people here. I'm a 19 year old male in Ireland. I heard about this trial in about January and have been following it since. Surprised it hasn't been getting more attention. I think she's not guilty but I don't know what way the jury will go.
Short of attention are we?

People who are unsure / NG don’t seem to be able to give any reasonings for their position. That’s what I struggle with. It’s meant to be reasonable doubt but I’m not even hearing what the doubt is?
that and ‘the jury are struggling’ - if they had come back earlier then it would have been ‘the jury didn’t deliberate for long enough’. At the start of today we had had 77 hours - 7 hours per juror (less actually but forget that) which gives less than 20 mins per juror per charge. We are struggling with not knowing because we care about justice being delivered appropriately but every single one of us who communicate effectively and civilly on this thread would rather a long thorough deliberation for the sake of the babies, their families and the extensive collateral damage caused by one person.

and breathe. Peace out gang, see you 10.25am ✌🏼❤

I’ve found this user on Reddit very knowledgeable on the legalities and this is what they’ve said about the partial verdicts. So a bit of judges discretion like taking a majority verdict.

Nobody can give a valid reason, based on evidence presented, for thinking she’s innocent. But everyone that thinks she’s guilty can write you an essay giving you all the reasons for why they think that. That’s the difference.

While there is plenty of medical evidence from post mortems of the injuries to the babies, similarities etc, there is no DNA evidence (LL DNA) like you would have in most murder cases.
She was a nurse her DNA on something could easily be explained but most likely any DNA would be wiped away because of the amount of cleaning and keeping everything sterile. Another thing Healthcare killers like. In a hospital you can't keep the scene of a death/ incident untampered with.

"Also I don't know if an unhinged rambling doodle half-confession on a sheet of paper from a 'mentally unstable' woman seemingly in the throws of desperation with PTSD as she claims is enough for a conviction."

Lucy claims the PTSD was the result of the arrests. How then can she write a note because she has PTSD before her arrest? Because it's indisputable that she wrote those notes before her arrest.

"Anyone in the medical profession knows that while it is wrong and a breach in confidentiality, many nurses bring home handover sheets by mistake or let them build up in their handbags etc before shredding- I don't think this is ok but it does happen very regularly."

257 though?! Unshredded even though she owned one and not returned to the works confidential waste bin.

I’m curious how many lurkers there are. I was reading along for ages until registrations opened again.
I'm one of the lurker crew!

Have been following these threads since January but haven't really found anything new to add and to be honest I've enjoyed reading without feeling the pressure of having to contribute anything meaningful or useful to the conversation.

Hopefully this is not too 🍉 but I gave birth to twins in October just as this trial was starting so I avpided

I mean I’m petrified to give my reasons lol

I responded to a comment slating someone for saying NG, it’s just annoying to see!
Not petrified to come and just say she’s NG though after 10 months of healthy debate here. FYI a lot of posters here were also NG, talked it all through and then came round to G when it was plain to see going by the evidence heard day in and day out. There’s nothing wrong with having your own opinion but back it up, no one is slating anyone saying NG - they’re asking for the reasons why. Reasons which still haven’t been divulged by the previous poster either. @MmmB777 for example has asked you valid questions, how would a NG situation explain those situations away?

Everyone else here has been asking each other questions and discussing them back and forth over the last 10 months to get to where this thread is now. If you find it annoying to see then this thread isn’t the place for you.

I really don’t understand why anyone who is unsure or NG should just accept your reasonings but as soon as someone states their NG/unsure reasonings they get ripped to shreds?

so what if it’s been going on for 10 months that doesn’t mean people have to decide she’s guilty.

anyway I won’t speak on it anymore because clearly no one likes when someone disagrees but hey ho!

its clear the jurors are struggling and you all seem worried so moving on….!
---

Also, whatever the outcome I will accept because I’m not the one deciding or listening day in day out to what has been said.

im purely putting my thoughts out there just like ALL of you.

All those babies just happened to die in her care... to the point that fellow staff got suspicious...

Plus all the weird hoarding of the medical notes and a note saying "I did this".

Nothing to see here. 👀

I’m 21 and can see clear as day she’s guilty. The evidence speaks for itself and regardless of life experience it’s pretty simple. Age isn’t a reason for delusion.
