also, hi! I think the above may be my first contribution on the LL threads as you’re all so entertaining I’ve spent forever reading everything and never quite catching up. And every time I felt like adding something, someone already had.

one thing I will mention, is that it’s entirely possible she won’t be officially struck off the nursing register if her registration has lapsed, which by now I’m sure it must have. I reported a colleague years ago and it took so long to investigate, that her registration lapsed as she didn’t pay to keep it. Although she got fired, and I was assured by the NMC that if she ever would apply to rejoin the register, it would trigger the Fitness to Practice case, it just felt…I dunno. Frustrating and a big loose end. She would never be able to work with her registration again, but she also never had to declare being struck from a professional register. I’m not sure if this is still the case as it’s been at least 15 years. Just thought it might be of interest to mention.

Issue is this one will 'destroy public trust in the profession' if they don't come down on her. So their arses will move fast.

Say she hasn't murdered any baby (she has). She's kept confidential documents in an insecure manner, she's falsified records, she's been inappropriate towards parents, she's not been cooperative with police investigations, and she has gone past her competence.

If they leave her on for any length of time there's a loss of trust for the NMC. It's why you see the ones who are found out as onces dealt with sharply.

I think when @slingo16 finally came out as Team G was one of my thread highlights. Also @MmmB777 being hammered was brilliant. Loads of hilarious moments from @DellaC , @gigilouxx ’s insults and @Lucyxxxx ’s poems.

My absolutely favourite thing about these threads though has been how supportive everyone is when anyone has any real life stuff going on. What an amazing bunch of people they’ve drawn together. Just a shame that the thing that has drawn everyone together is a murdering psycho bitch.

Sorry for the merail but I feel like we’re all friends here and I can vent to you lot but I’m so upset (and my husbands fast asleep on the sofa so I can’t whinge to him about it) with my mum. She has my kids in the week for me, one day she has my youngest and another she has my middle while I’m at work. On the school hols she has my oldest too on the same day as she has the middle (usually a Friday). But that’s it, two days a week she never has them extra, I never ask for more, we never just turn up unannounced etc. but all she does recently it complain to me about them when she’s got them. She doesn’t even wait to tell me when I pick them up, she’ll text me throughout the day! She’s got my eldest two for a sleepover tonight (she offered!!) and she’s spent the evening telling me how bad my oldest has been so now I’m sat here in tears because my kids aren’t bad at all, obviously they’re not angels but they’re only little and they love my parents so much but now I feel like she doesn’t want them at all and I’ve got a pounding headache because I feel so stressed about it and upset, it’s not even like I can go and pick them up because it’s 10pm and they’re asleep! And I also feel guilty for being pissed off with my mum because now I feel like I’m being ungrateful for the help she gives me. Honestly, motherhood aye!

SIL rang about 10 minutes ago, she's in a side ward on a drip for fluid and an antibiotic drip, her temperature is sky high, one of the nurses said she's not surprised she feels so ill, and she was sick again when seeing the doctor. Not sure how long they plan to keep her at this stage.

3: Every pot, pan and utensil will have been used

But I'm going to have a large glass of Pinot and eat outside and take in the sun (Yes sun in August....its a miracle).

What’s the significance of the cartoon jumping out of the cake is the real question. Why are there birthday presents and candles. I called my mum about this today as she’s done a couple of jury duties. She’s not followed the case but she said that in her opinion it’s going on for so long because it’s 22 different charges. She also mentioned that on both trials there was one dickhead in the jury stopping them from reaching a unanimous decision. They went for a majority at the end of it but she said that one prick was just stupid, slept through some of the trial, wasn’t even listening and just wanted to be difficult. When the defendants were found guilty the jury were told that the offenders and done this (fraud) before multiple times, he STILL thought they were innocent.
She said similar thing happened in both cases.
She also said it could be very likely that they agree on loads and there could just be one charge they disagree on and they are going over it.
I know she’s not a profesh by any stretch but I found a bit of comfort in this so I hope you all will too 🥲

Judge Mr Justice James Goss said the new direction means they will have to agree by 10-1 on any counts that are not unanimous.

This makes me think it’s only some counts that aren’t unanimous her hopes will be up that it’s on all though.

Lunch for me was a lemsip followed by 2 cocodamol and a strepsil We’re the house of ill and both of us have covid. I had it last year and ended up ill for 6 weeks with a chest infection and then got glandular fever a month later so I’m crossing my fingers it’s easier this time but so far I’ve spent 48 hours in bed wrapped in blankets shivering and sweating with a temperature of 40.3. Send help

Hoping for a verdict to cheer me up.
