I somehow missed that they asked for a copy of the summing up. That makes me nervous. Why do they need anything more than the eleventy bajillion bits of documentation they already have and their 9 months in court? And anyway they JUST heard him sum up. How can they not know? Anxious now.

The weight of all this is on their shoulders, it's a massive responsibility. The judges summing up was a fantastic overview and I'd assume a great starting point.

Don't be nervous. Just trust them to do their job and chill the fuck out, you're giving me anxiety

Speaking of Dickie Gill, he's having a totally normal one tonight.

He seems to be suggesting that Ben Myers, one of the top criminal law KCs in the country, is incompetent and hasn't challenged the expert witnesses- I must have been mistaken when I heard him ripping into Drs Evans and Bohin. Him and that green haired goblin are gonna implode if/when she is convicted

At least he’s stopped posting about how he feels like shooting up manchester crown court with an AK-47 I guess…
I seriously think this cunt needs to be done on some sort of charge, whether it’s contempt of court or straight up defamation for what he has said about the doctors involved in this case euthanizing babies, I’d love to see him arrested or sued. The stuff he has said throughout this trial has been utterly abhorrent.

Nobody that’s been on these threads for nine months is disrespecting the families. We enjoy absolutely ripping the piss out of the murdering bitch. If you want to tell people they’re being disrespectful, head to Facebook where you can find them going on about where Lucy can holiday in Ibiza and how wonderful she is, that the babies were all going to die anyway, comparing them to cats and so on. This has been the most respectful place to the babies. We care about them deeply and want justice. After nine months in-jokes have developed and a humour that helps get through the darkness of the case that is all. The joke was and has always been on LETBY.

I’ve followed this thread and the trial since the beginning. As a healthcare professional, this one hits hard. In my honest opinion and from working in an acute hospital setting for 6+ years I honestly still don’t know where my opinions lie. Obviously something has gone seriously wrong however I have known cases where nurses are thrown under the bus to cover for Drs mistakes. Is anyone else still on the fence?

If they are trying to throw her under the bus then why frame her for murder/attempted murder and not just try to make out she was incompetent/negligent? And isn't it a bit strange that the person they've chosen to scapegoat just happens to have loads of confidential hospital paperwork stored at her house? And how does the evidence of baby E's mother fit into the scapegoat theory? Did they ask her to lie about the blood round her child's mouth? And then how do the insulin cases fit in, bearing in mind the doctors were unaware of these until the police investigated and the babies were clearly deliberately given insulin? Is LL a scapegoat and then somebody else deliberately poisoned those babies? The "thrown under the bus" theory just doesn't hold up.

I have been following these threads since day one but have never been brave enough to comment. I am a neonatal nurse and work on an intensive care unit, taking care of babies from 400g in weight and 22 weeks gestation. I have found this trial so difficult to follow. I look after the sickest and smallest babies and know how hard we all work for each and every baby to try and keep them safe. We all miss breaks, we stay late to do whatever we can to help them. It is undoubtedly an extremely stressful job which can be really sad, but to see the most fragile of babies grow, develop and go home after months of really difficult treatment is so wonderful and makes the job so unbelievably rewarding. The hardest part is seeing the babies struggle and seeing parents going through the worst time of their lives and trying to do whatever you can to try and make it even the slightest bit easier for them. To think that someone, anyone, would hurt these fragile babies and torture parents even more then they are already is unthinkable and sickens me so much. I wholeheartedly believe that Lucy is guilty of all counts. In neonates it is so rare for babies to have a cardiac arrest, normally a decision is made to switch to palliative care when every avenue of treatment has been tried. To think that the little ones in this case all had cardiac arrests out of the blue is unbelievable. I hope the jury comes to the right decision and puts this monster away for good.

Thank you for all you do and your insight. It may not seem like much in the grand scheme of things but I think the amount of people that will have their eyes opened to just how incredible these little babies are, how strong the families are and how wonderfully almost everybody working with these babies do their job.. is one positive in such an awful situation.

I know we all have different views of Noname but I would really hate for him to be dragged through the gutter press like this. He was an absolute dick for what he did with LL but I'm positive he has had his punishment for that. This story is about that bastard murderer and what she did to those babies and their families NOT about him.

Can you also imagine how the police are feeling right now (of course the families come first, then us ) working on a case for years, 100s of hours of piecing together your case, 100s of interviews, documents, back and forth with the CPS and then entrusting your case with a legal team (who have done a wonderful job) and now sitting with 12 members of the public

Hoping for a verdict today

Couldn’t sleep last night so me and my boyfriend went for a loooong drive. Saw a road sign for this place. Made him slow down so I could take a pic (then had to explain why). Unlucky for LL she will never see this place again. For what it’s worth, even in darkness - shithole. Will never return.

I can’t stop thinking about those poor parents. What were they told at the time? Your precious baby has become gravely ill/died and we don’t know why. I think one of them was a GP, what must she have thought when her little one was doing well for this to happen out of nowhere and wracking her brains trying to figure out what could have been missed/done differently. Then get contacted by the police to say we think baby was murdered.
On a side note I’ve also reported Dicky Gill, thanks for the link. He’s crazier than a shithouse rat.
