Pagecatching and wading my way through (Curly) Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory of talk but saw a reference to these texts again, which to me indicate a lot about her personality, even without tying it to the context of the murders. It's probably been mentioned before my time on here so sorry for any repetition.

It's telling how she responds to her colleague after what she perceives as criticism. You know full well after "It probably sounds odd" that she was expecting a coddling from her colleague, for her colleague to soothe her and say "oh no Lucy, that's a perfectly normal way of dealing with your emotions, I can't believe [nurse] won't let you back in 1".

So when her colleague doesn't act like a puppet in Letby's show, she lashes out, furious that someone doesn't agree with her. If she was at home, I could almost see her reading that text and blowing up, perhaps throwing a Live Laugh Love sign or a diamante photo frame around the room in fury.

But unfortunately she was with Baby C.

Even the 'poor me, I'll go it alone, I'll overcome it myself' mentality is such an attention-seeking behaviour. As people have previously mentioned, it would not surprise me if her parents indulged every single attention-seeking stunt and encouraged her (perhaps inadvertently) to think she is always right, it's others who are wrong.

The fact she has rabid defenders is beyond me. I live laugh LOATHE this woman.

As a side note, I found Tattle after reading the Archie Battersby thread on another forum who often linked to here. I've been lurking for some time but only recently made an account to post in the Harry and Meghan thread to answer some questions that my line of work could help with. And now I'm here, hungry as duck because of you chocolate-noshing gannets.

For anyone who likes Turkish Delight, I hope you know you’re just like that little witch Edmund in the Narnia books.x

(I can’t have chocolate anymore but from what I recall aero, KitKat chunkies, and magic stars were the best).

I mean I like it but I wouldn’t sell my family out for it. Now a Tunnock’s Tea Cake on the other hand… 😋

Isn't it odd how few people are talking about this?! My suspicion is that the media are being extremely careful not to risk prejudicing the trial as it's so huge and so long-running. My mum hadn't heard of it. My sister hadn't heard of it and when I started talking about it got v. defensive as her little girl was in NICU for months and her immediate reaction was 'those nurses are incredible, I don't believe any of them would ever do something like that' which surprised me. But did make me wonder if some people support a NG verdict because it's too unthinkable that a parent like them could have unwittingly left their baby with a monster. I do hope the parents in the case don't blame themselves - they could never have known.

My dad had heard of it and said he (ex lawyer) really rates BM and thinks she'll get NG (not because she is but because of BM). That was a personal low point for me.

So in summary, I hate my family.
Interesting! My sister had heard of it and followed along from a safe distance for the very reason that both her babies started life in NICU fairly recently. She said it made fellow NICU parents understandably incredibly anxious, and the staff too, because it represents such a catastrophic breach of trust. You have to build this very trusting relationship with the nurses in NICU and SCBU so quickly because you're leaving your precious vulnerable babies in their care. I can kind of understand people not wanting to believe it could be possible because it is so unthinkably brutal and awful. Unfortunately some people are capable of anything though, as we know.

Agree, she totally expected the colleague to back her up and couldn’t handle it when they didn’t. All the texts scream attention seeker.

I think she even says in police interview it wasn’t the response she wanted! It’s absolutely incredible to think that was enough to make her kill an innocent tiny baby. Unfathomable.

Barely anyone I work with knows about it. There has only been one colleague who knew about it. She thinks guilty 100% too.

Newbies I love you and welcome, you all seem like good fellas but woah that was a lot to catch up on (but then I do have to read all the choc/ crisps/ Matalan chat too.)

Just to add for the "There is no evidence!" 🥴 lot, Judge Goss spent over 2 hours yesterday just summing up the evidence for child A. And has so far only covered 3 babies. So stick that in your holes like it's a Robocock2007.

I think we're forgetting the most important question of all for all the newbies.

How many of you are Les Dennis sympathisers? ;)
I did have a lot of sympathy for
Thank you in advance for the hideous nightmares I’m going to be having.

Very jealous of all you milk chocolate eaters. Vegan chocolate just isn't the same. As for crisps, it has to be pringles, ready salted or barbecue.

I forgot to answer the initiation questions in my first post. I'm not ginger but carry the gene and definitely have ginger person skin. I like Turkish delight and used to eat the Cadbury chocolate-covered one before I became vegan (sorry). Not really a Matalan fan.

Other important information... I am a Les Dennis sympathiser. Osama Bin Laden definitely had a kind face, but Fred West/Glitter did not. 🤢 I don't own a shower dildo. Have I missed anything?

Working today so won't be able to follow along but will catch up later.
Have you tried booja??!!

There's one as well to NN which says something like "It's good that she felt she could talk to you about it" which screams passive aggressive jealousy.

Hardly anyone I know is aware of the case either. I was talking to my husband about it and he could only vaguely recollect it and he spends a LOT of time on news sites. I’m hoping once a verdict is reached it will be much more widely reported.

Only one of my colleagues had heard of it, as well, and that was only because it was mainstream news when she was giving evidence and he is one to watch the news - Not many people do these days, do they?!

Only one of my friends was aware of it and she works for the NHS so think that's why. She thinks guilty all the way.

I'm a midwife, I would have expected lots of my colleagues to have heard about it. I've spoken to some of the NNU docs and they don't know about it either. Shocking I think!

Always imagined her seething when she wrote that...her messages say so much about her!
I commented last week, when BM went over baby G..her reply ( after taking so much interest!) to being told, she was stable now and being transferred ( or words to that effect) was " good news, thanks for letting me know!!
She may as well have said.." oh duck, that wasn't meant to happen"😡😭
