Maybe whoever was in the email BM exposed. The person from the NCA although not strictly police officer. BM accused DrDE of touting for the job to police. All incredibly stupid. NCA have a database and it has expert witness profiles where they list their expertise, type of cases they work on. Not touting either 🤦🏻‍♀️
May have worked with the officers several times before and it’s ridiculous to think you wouldn’t have conversations like “I have worked on similar cases and think I could do this job” etc. I’ve said it before but I bet he really has wished many times over that he hadn’t! Although, I hope once it’s done he can feel proud of his contribution to the justice system.
oh yeah it’s probably related to the ‘touting’.

I was thinking about the liver injury evidence. When there has been babies and children die in the home (Brockhill prime example) people are quite happy to accept the medical evidence that the catastrophic internal injuries are non-accidental, that it is unlikely to be as a result of CPR, that the injury is likened to high impact car injuries. They don’t start defending the step parent/parent and argue it was the CPR that did it and they found journals online showing that CPR can cause these injuries.

But as soon as it’s said about a nurse in a hospital on a newborn it’s suddenly a conspiracy / scapegoat situation.

I hope these people are not responsible for any safeguarding because it seems they are more than happy to turn a blind eye to the evidence in front of them, and any children or vulnerable people in their care are, quite frankly, at risk with anyone that still feels Lucy is innocent.

And still, after creating all this pain and trauma...the absolute monster went in the next day and did it again.

Planned, premeditated and purposeful murder of those beautiful triplets. I'm so thankful that they got their 3rd baby away from the demon.

todays closing statement is pretty much mirroring most of our assumptions as we went through the trial. All those little points that we weren’t quite sure about but argued that probably happened this way etc etc (especially the insulin cases) have just been confirmed. There is absolutely no way and most importantly zero reasonable doubt that she is anything but guilty. I think the majority of our discussions have been spot on in terms of the how! One thing that especially stood out to me today was BNE’s statement saying she used the babies vulnerabilities to her advantage, we said the exact same thing many threads ago!!

it’s been a rollercoaster and the most unique experience ever to have gone through this trial for so long with you guys! I wait with bated breath for justice to be served and I am 1000 percent sure it will be! That evil calculating scheming twisted bitch is going down.

One of my colleagues has a daughter named Lucy and she asked, quite seriously, do you think the name Lucy is going to become associated with the serial killer nurse?

I mean when I hear Myra I do think Hindley but I don’t automatically think of Rose West when I hear the name Rose. Who knows 🫤😬
I always said Kim and Kanye missed a trick not naming one of the girls Rose.

I’m not sure if anyone followed the Aiden Fucci trial in the USA, but his victim who was stabbed 114 times, her sister counted out in court 114 stones into a pot to represent each stab wound and it took what felt forever and was SO impactful, WOW that 30 seconds BNE counted would of been huge for the jury 🩷

When you hear it all like this - Bam! Bam! Bam! - of each child, how can anyone dispute it? The way he is laying it all out so clearly and concisely, this is what Letby says and this is what actually happened, there's just no argument.

You know how this case took so long. I know of a case police have currently spent 3 years putting together. Involves a different type of institution (is that the right word?). They know the guy has done it and are having to go through all old records and hunt more witnesses. The offender is denying everything. All circumstantial evidence but it's big and he's defo guilty. Some way to go before trial. Expected to hit the papers. My fellas a witness in it. Can't say much more for now. Needed to get off my chest though.
Make sure you start a thread and tag us all in it when it goes to trial!

Also I hope Dr NN has been given the boot or had some sort of misconduct hearing because of his fucking constant texting when he should have been working. Absolute cunt. (That's even without him being a cheating shitbag)

Checking in with my guilty af vote and a side order of thank fuck it's finally raining 🎉🎉 baby Caledonian is 4 weeks old today and this is the first time it's rained since he was born. Usually in Central Scotland it rains a lot more. Anyhoo I digress back to lucifer. I was speaking to my sister about the case yesterday and she as a nicu parent reckons she's guilty too and that no sane normal minded nurse would do what she does.

The way he’s linking the slightly weaker cases to the really strong cases is really clever imo, any holes in certain charges he fills in the blanks with what we know for sure happened in other instances. Any chance that she would get NG on any charge has now gone.

did they all start washing their hands as soon as Lucy left then?

He sounds as bad as LL herself, blaming all the lazy nurses and doctors that make mistakes. Little miss perfect Lucy just tried too hard to be a good nurse. He’s fucking deluded and the Royal Statistics Society should distance themselves from him as much as possible. He is completely discrediting any of their work that he’s been involved in by showing he’s incapable of staying impartial. If he’s like this now why should we believe he was any better at the time of the reports and projects he’s worked on.
It's now beginning to really irritate me to the point I'm considering reporting him to the RSS and also the police, because he's breaking sub judice by launching this bloody campaign (politicians, police officer, parents, social media) to influence court proceedings. WHICH IS ILLEGAL, the stupid moron.

Also have to say bravo to NJ for starting with the cases which have very clear evidence of foul play and working out from there. That way, the jury instructions of "you can use evidence of harm in the strongly evidenced cases to support the lack of evidence in others if you look at the bigger picture" is so much clearer.

For those struggling today, a little laugh I hope. I did the school run at 4pm but been home all day so I just shoved on some gym leggings and a cropped hoodie to go out. I have just realised that my leggings are inside out. We have been home for 40 minutes. Fml.

Just wondering what virus it is that waits for people to go on their breaks and parents to leave the room?

> Mr Johnson says the 'gang of four' didn't do a very good of scapegoating Lucy Letby, as they missed the insulin evidence - "the best bit of evidence".

Huge for the prosecution imo. You can't argue it's a coverup if they didn't know there was something to cover up in the first place. Massively backs up the fact that these were independently investigated and not just cherrypicked to make her look bad.

And as he says... how do the defence argue this one? Are they saying that hospital failings were pinned on Lucy, but the investigation coincidentally uncovered 2 REAL murders, committed by an unknown third party who left no evidence and was not suspected?

Her being guilty is literally the most sensible and logical option, unless they can dispute the insulin deaths. And it's a bit late for that.

I wonder what it was about the holiday to Ibiza that made her lose all control like BNE says? She went with 2 friends and I’m wondering if she felt she wasn’t getting enough attention - like maybe her friends had better luck with men or were celebrating some good news. Most people come back to work relaxed after a holiday! She came back more homicidal and desperate.

I did once note that some of the attacks seemed to happen after hen dos, weddings, Valentine’s Day (based on social media). Ibiza seems to fit that pattern.

Must say I was also shocked to read that between July 2016-2018 she had a very very very active social life. I thought it was just maybe till end of 2016. How can anyone be so brazen to be seen out and about on social media knowing you’re being investigated for baby deaths for 2 years! On the stand she said she lost her confidence, but she never mentioned feeling fear, anxiety or worry. If I was being investigated for murder by the police, I’d be sick with fear on what might happen, whether id messed up somehow, and lay low till it blew over. Not posting prosecco shots on FB, and having an affair.
