It’s just cruel now for the parents. I don’t get why this trial is so different, other trials go on for 6-8 weeks and it’s every day. It makes 0 sense
They’ve waited 7/8 years for closure and now it’s just like they’re dangling a carrot to them.

Ooh ffs I hope they do sit today for many of reasons, but also because I’m currently sat in a&e waiting to be x-rayed. Think I’ve broken my bloody wrist falling off a chair yesterday while using a hedge trimmer and well the wait is going to be long. Also it is so hard to type now one handed so I’m just going to like and react along with you guys! Happy humpday

Right who do we complain to that court is playing funny fuckers? Consistency for court sitting seems to of been yeeted out the window for this case. For the parents and families involved it should be settled asap as to avoid all the extra heartache. But then again Lucy will be loving causing them all said extra heartache all over again

Someone on fb has commented that LL appears ‘supremely confident and socially capable’, her voice has no discernible accent with a ‘perfect’ tone. She apparently has the ‘gift of the gab’. This person thinks LL is guilty btw, so is not the fb Mr NJ (nut job).
I’d built up a different picture with LL wringing her hands while clutching a tissue, eyes darting about like a frightened rabbit.
Can someone who’s been help to clarify?

You often hear that people want to talk about their deceased loved ones and get annoyed when people try to change the subject as if they never existed. My in-laws trying to change the subject everytime I talked about my Dad 2 weeks after he died made me so angry BUT just after the poor baby died isn't the time for that. I wonder if she's trying to act like a normal person but has gotten the timing horrifically wrong! If she was saying it to be a dick then it would be more obvious to the parents that she might be a callous, evil murderer!

Not to mention the mother hadn't even been talking about Child I. LL just strolled in and started crowing about how she'd been there for Child I's first bath and she'd loved it...while they were bathing the dead body of Child I.

I’m wondering if some of the ‘planned’ no court days were still juror related. Perhaps if they informed the court in advance of attendance issues. Because since Easter most of the absent days were planned, not ‘on the day’ juror absence. So initially it feels a bit unfair to blame a juror if the judge/legal teams are the ones also not available.


Since court resumed after Easter on 17th April, we’ve had 30 working days (I’ve excluded bank hols)

13 days court sat (although two were early finishes)
12 days planned not to sit
5 days juror illness/absence

“A lot of coincidences” yes…..usually a lot of coincidences mean it’s not a coincidence anymore. If your bank card kept going missing just after I’d left your house, pretty sure after the 4th time it stops being a coincidence.

Ps I don’t rob bank cards……yet

I remember once reading a story about a guy in New York who'd have enough and jumped out of the window of his 60th floor flat. A couple living in a flat a few floors beneath his were having an argument and one of them was standing with their back to the window whilst the other was firing a gun at them. The spouse standing by the window ducked and the bullet hit the guy outside who's jumped out of his flat window! What are the odds of that happening? I'm not sure if it's a true story or not, but I think these people on FB who keep going on about all 24 charges being a coincidence are kind of missing what a coincidence means: the whole point of it is that it's something completely out of the blue and happens very rarely. By definition, something that happens consistently - 4 times in a row like your bank card example, or 24 times babies collapsing when LL is around and as soon as the parents leave them / nurses go off on a break - is not a coincidence. I just don't get why someone would think otherwise, buy hey each to their own

Child I makes me so sad. She went after this poor baby so many times and then revelled in the grief of the parents.

On the bright side for Lucy though… at least she’ll have plenty of time to recall her whereabouts when she’s sitting in prison for the rest of her miserable fucking life.

I have never doubted her guilt but I was really concerned she would get NG due to all the varying opinions on here before she took the stand. Now I’ve never been more certain she’s going down. She is a thick bastard for taking the stand… she overestimated her own intelligence and can’t keep up with all the lies she’s told and BNE is just outsmarting her with every question.

I’ve got an exam next week. I need to spend all week whilst my son is at school revising. I’m screwed though with LL on the stand and all the Schofield stuff going on this week!

And annoyingly if it wasn’t for the exam I would have been able to go back to court this week
