I think it might put the cat amongst the pigeons but Judge Goss definitely has to drop the boy before he says I quit, he's absolutely not a 10 out of 10 and the judge just needs to say I owe you nothing.

Boss man is not happy going by that reporting. Feeling like they may continue on with 11 jurors only from tomorrow.
The poor families, this is just dragging it out and is ridiculous. I didn’t really understand why the break at Easter when Courts don’t break at Easter. They deserve their answers and this must be torture for them.

So I work on a level 2 nicu. We don't have anesthetists on the unit, intubation and sedation is done by registrars, consultants or ANNPs.
We have 9 consultants who are all paediatricians. 2 have specialism in cardiology, 1 in neuro, 1 in gastro, 1 in endocrine, 2 in respiratory and 2 in neonatology. Every baby has a named consultant but we have a big ward round once per week where all if the consultants are involved and can pitch in if there's an issue that's their specialism.
They've done it after a bank holiday before haven't they?If the y drop the juror, I hope they have enough sense to keep their mouth shut till the case is concluded. Sounds a bit like they may have had a few heavy weekends throughout

As if the parents haven’t been through enough they’ve got a rogue juror making the case last even longer. How could you ring in sick all the time knowing you have to come in and face them?

Yeah it happened a lot during the football too. After every big game really. It’s really disappointing if it’s the same juror.
Weirdly I was thinking at weekend a juror could have been pregnant right at the start of this trial and be almost due. Not that that's the case here but makes you realise how much time they've given up.
They’d have to start over again with a new jury.

I really don’t think there’ll be a mistrial in this case, the minimum number of jurors is 9. They should be fine to carry on with one less. It’s not ideal but might be better if it means less disruptions. I bet LL will be making out she’s hard done by having to come away in and back again for nothing though - I do worry she could try to use this as grounds for appeal if found guilty.

It won’t be a mistrial if they dismiss one juror so I don’t think we need to worry about that happening. Much more likely the lager lout juror will show his hungover face again tomorrow, get a bollocking from the judge and we’ll either continue with 12 or they’ll be dismissed and we’ll continue with 11.
