See, now none of the scribbled notes claiming it was her fault, I did this, I'm not good enough, etc, make no sense. Because in the last 2 days she has blamed every other sodding doctor and nurse. So which is it Lucy?

I think that when this is all over and done with it will be suggested she had likely killed other babies. The evidence today saying she lost a baby at the woman's hospital and was then given a very sick baby the same day gave me goosebumps.

No it’s just Letby goes first. But I can’t imagine he’d have many credible witnesses ready to explain away all we’ve heard. Im sure he’s ready to throw in the towel though already.

Yeah she’s literally saying these four doctors conspired with each other to set her up. It is honestly bonkers. What is their motivation? To cover up failings from who? Management who weren’t interested in any of it, even after baby I all they did was send was an email pointing out the mortality rate had risen.
This Gang of Four were persistently inviting colleagues and begging for formal investigations does not fit with a cover up does it it’s laughable.
As is her implying yesterday that lots of parents had access to the room where insulin was and today saying she doesn’t believe it was any staff that did it. So twice on her shift, random parents of other babies just decided to try to kill other babies.

I think it’s a hypothetical- he’s saying so if the jury decides (again hypothetically) the insulin is a purposeful attack and baby O’s injury and baby A and D’s circulation and vessels full of air are all definitely harm- the common denominator is her for all of those occasions. It has to be her essentially. And that is the crux of everything.

I can't understand it either. I looked at Reddit last night and noticed the same but I really thought now that she's chosen to take the stand and NJ is managing to uncover so many lies and ridiculous inconsistencies the opinions on Reddit would change. He quite rightly brought up the paperwork she had taken home which revealed so much about her disregard for policies and disregard for the families saying the paperwork wasn't important and her ability to lie quite freely. Since questioning her about the paperwork he appears to be questioning her about each baby starting with baby A and this is highlighting so much more about her and her consistent lying, blaming others or not remembering when it suits as well as some strange behaviours. I don't know what more he can do.

I just had to stop reading when I saw someone say it was normal for nurses to go in on their days off, and Lucy’s body clock would have been used to night shifts. And she lived alone. I mean, even Lucy didn’t give those as reasons as to why she went in, so they are just making stuff up now. It’s not even speculation when Lucy has been asked why and she’s given a different answer.

They also think NJ clarifying Lucy can access the unit without a record of a swipe card means any other staff member could have done the same and harmed the babies.

I don’t mind a bit of debate but the stretching is insane. They seem to just look at each piece of evidence in isolation so discount it. They are not able to look at the bigger picture of how it all fits together.

Trying hard to catch up. It really looks like she’s done this out of spite and jealously. I wonder was Dr NN sniffing around Sophie Ellis to trigger her jealousy for some of the babies.

I'm so relieved with how the prosecution is questioning Lucy. I feel like the line of questioning is showing her true colours and for that I am so grateful.
I feel for the poor parents of the children she murdered and harmed, and for those wondering if she has caused harm to their children. It's just, it's beyond words for me, I can't begin to imagine how they feel and know that even when Lucy is found guilty it won't make their lives better. They have to live knowing their babies were harmed and murdered by someone who should have been caring for them. It's just disgusting.

Jason Monaghan who BM defended but was found guilty of 3 murders got 46 years so if LL got the same sentence minus 3 years on remand she would be 76 when she got out.

It’s utterly baffling to me. It’s still wanting to have it all ways isn’t it. The babies died of natural causes or were they murdered by multiple different people? BS does the insulin I take it, letby has said it’s not a mistake so that’s a senior nursing practitioner with an evil streak. And then who is killing o&p? Noname? There really must be something in the water there.
And how does that fit with the conspiring Gang of Four? They’re unwittingly pinning it on letby when the real murderers are out there?
Do these people think anything through at all? Why is it so painful to accept Letby did this for them? Kind of bizarre.

That’s just the number of years until eligible for parole! The parole board have to be satisfied they are not a risk to the public and if they are then they stay in prison.

Whole life order (very few given) are never eligible for parole. I’m on the fence if she would actually be given this tbh. (I want her to be of course but threshold is so high and Beverly Allitt didn’t get one).

Even if she got life w a minimum of 30 years she’s never coming out. She’s lied through her teeth and not shown a scrap of emotion for any of the babies and their poor families, she’d be denied parole all the way through I reckon
