Mr Johnson says in the defence, Letby's name is not referred to in the schedule surrounding the events for some babies.
"Are you suggesting the absence of your name [from the schedule]...is showing you hadn't had contact with the child?"
Letby agrees "...in terms of the documentation at that time." She agrees that does not record events such as minor nursing responses if a baby starts crying.

Letby said if there was a sick baby on the unit, "you would go and check on them, that's not unreasonable."
She had looked at Child G's charts, and accepts she was not on duty at that time. Letby said she had been in to finish some documentation.

He suggests Letby does not need a pass to gain entry to the unit.

Letby adds if she had a legitimate reason to enter the unit, she would have entry accepted.
Letby is asked why she entered the unit at around 11pm, not earlier that day.

Followed this thread from day 1 but never posted. I’m a HCA so have a basic understanding of the medical terms, handovers blood gases etc. Was 99% guilty but the past half an hour have completely sealed it for me. Evil personified. I think these poor babies are just the start and there’s lots more to come out
Goodness me, he is a seriously clever man. He’s got her to admit all nurses would be aware of dangers of injecting air in to a patient, and then got her to say that whoever connected the fluids must have caused an air embolus if that was the cause of death. Therefore she has indirectly admitted that baby A was murdered (ie not a manslaughter by neglect) along with what she has said about the deliberate insulin harm.
How did her colleagues not think it suspicious if she was floating around the unit at night on her days off, with babies deteriorating left , right and Centre. It’s disgraceful she got away with it for so long. I would frog march a nurse off my clinical floor if she came in off duty. She’s not going to get off. Guilty as fuck the evil bitch. I hope Dr NN didn’t give her an alibi when she was actually there.
Hi all. I have been lurking about on these threads on and off since the trial began (so hard to keep up with you guys) and I have to say I never thought there was enough evidence presented by the prosecution to prove her guilt beyond all reasonable doubt. There was doubt in my mind until yesterday.
However after just this small amount of cross examination it's clear to me that this woman is an absolute compulsive lying nutjob. There is no doubt in my mind now that she 100% planned and carried out these attacks (and I'm very sure, much more).
How somebody has a handover sheet for a baby from years prior kept in a keepsake box and then so much further documentation for other babies is beyond me. What a sick individual.
I hope that somehow her proven guilt and subsequent punishment provides some amount of justice for the families of these poor innocent babies. The whole thing is just terrible.
I also think that the hospital and the management there have a lot to answer for.

99 are from her time as a student nurse. She agreed yesterday that she moved houses every year as a student, moved into the hospital accommodation, went and rented a friends flat, moved to the hospital accommodation, moved to the house she was in at the end.
She’s took all of them every single time, including one in a special keepsake box.

She’s coming across so arsey and argumentative. Someone innocent would not be like that! If you were faced with being jailed for something you didn’t do you’d be politely answering everything as fully as you could. She’s screaming guilty right now. I hope the jury reflect on this too!
