I rarely post here any more as frankly I cannot abide the nonsensical and purely imagined insights into her character by people who know absolutely nothing about her, but seem to think they can tell a lot by looking at pictures of inherited wallpaper.
I think most people were laughing because of this bit tbh. (I was) Why it’s ok for someone to come on this thread and insult those of us who have followed and discussed this nearly daily for 7 months, yet we are criticised for laughing in reaction? I think respect for opinions need to go both ways. The above comment is not respectful to those of us who think guilty. Therefore I’m not going to respect their opinion in return 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've thought guilty from the start, due to the fact the police gathering an insurmountable amount of evidence to be accepted by the CPS to take her to trial.
Also I have nursed someone that tried to poison/ kill their baby and the personality traits are so similar, it's eerie. Not accepting responsibility,
it's never their fault,
woe is me,
will do anything (and I mean anything for attention)
,very jealous.
Disney tit 😫
It's all about them and that's why she's took the stand, it's not about the babies (to her) one bit. She knows this is going national and most likely Internationally. Maybe people who haven't encountered coming across evil/bad bxxxxrds before find it difficult that these type of people really exist (imo)

Anyhoo, i'm gonna get one of those three dot tattoos on the side of my hand, it means 'my crazy life'😃
Disney tit 🤣
Signs of a true psycho indeed.

“Cinderella made me do it!” 🔪

what I’m saying tho (another preconceived opinion of mine of course 😂) is that I don’t believe that the death rate could triple somebody could raise a concern about LL then the insulin results come in that undoubtedly prove foul play and still nothing is done. I’m saying that’s an impossible sequence of events, or a least incredibly unlikely anyway.
I get what you're saying, and kind of agree with you. However, I think you're underestimating peoples' capacity to ignore things that don't fit with their worldview. The idea of babies being deliberately harmed on a neonatal ward is inconceivable to most people, so they just wouldn't think of it and would cobsider every other possible explanation first.

On another note, who thinks LL’s ‘poor me’ defence might seriously backfire?
I listened to an excerpt from a prison interview with Charles Cullen where he was pathetically, self pityingly whining and blaming others. Cringe.
Yeah because the prosecution will backfire it right back. She's proved it by going dancing after killing babies pretending to be sad about it initially.

Grab a cuppa this is going to be a long post if anyone is bothered on my opinion ☕😂
I have been following this case since the initial arrest, although I have dipped in and out due to having a baby in nicu+scbu and had tremendous anxiety around it. I am from a health care background (pharmacist) previously I have actually been responsible for making chemo drugs and TPN bags (and previous to this case I had heard horror stories of them being injected with other drugs) In the hospital I worked in they were treated like gold dust we would hand deliver them to the wards fridge/ sometimes directly to the patients bedside with 2 nurses present to sign off for immediate use - this could have just been protocol in my trust🤷‍♀️
When this came out I was on the NG side as we’re id say 95% of hospital staff from all sectors I talked to about the case. Some opinions were ;
- hospital cover up/ protecting those higher up/ the whole hospital , easier to have a scapegoat over bad practice/ badly run unit than close down a whole hospital/unit
-multiple arrests suggesting they didn’t have enough evidence
-surely if this was true it would have been talked about among colleagues during the first couple of babies, there is so much gossip in a hospital it’s hard to hide when you cross paths with so many people on a shift

However since more and more info has come out I am leaning towards G. Do I think she’s guilty of something? Yes. Do I think there’s ENOUGH evidence to PROVE she done it all? No.
I would like to know more about relationships especially with Dr NN 🍆🥵 working in a hospital environment not even on a ward I knew who was shagging who- people talk ALOT

In either verdict there was definitely something wrong with the way that hospital was being run. No one stepping it when that many tragedies were happening is actually scary-my thoughts really go out to all the families of those beautiful babies such a cruel world💔

I agree foul play would be the last thing anybody would want to believe. What I refuse to believe is that it’s obvious now and wasn’t then, I think ignoring the initial rumours without evidence is plausible, but then a child turns up with synthetic insulin in its system that has zero business being there. It goes from not wanting to believe rumours to blatantly ignoring a murder attempt, that for me isn’t possible. I think the reliability of what’s been said has to be questioned, if they can be mistaken with the monitor switch off situation why can’t they have got anything else wrong, this is why when things don’t make logical sense it does make me question whether people are possibly misremembering certain things that happened or didn’t happen

I think a lot of people, not tryna be patronising in any way, probably think NG because they’ve never actually come across this type of complex character before, and the crying at her house, crying at her arrest doesn’t seem so strange but to anyone who’s encountered this type of narcissist you know exactly what script they follow, how the attention from bad things happening to them is like an addiction that needs to be fuelled, their constant need for affirmation

I think there being more women in the jury than men is going to mean this really doesn’t work for her.

Maybe sexist of me, but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah not falling for that act, the only people anyone will feel sorry for in that courtroom is the babies and their families(I hope) . Does she really believe people are going to feel sorry for her

Would you like a big cork? (I did try to Google GIANT CORK in order to upload a photo that would make you giggle, I must've made a slight spelling mistake and didn't get the results I wanted. Awkward)

Ahhhh another little baby. I bloody love the tattle babies, hearing about new life warms the cockles of my heart.
Some people quite like a good cork though 😂😂 there is definitely something happening but I'm holding on things are bearable for the now

Not wanting to me rail, but I’m gonna.
I landed myself in a bad situation once. It was all laughs and jokes until suddenly, it wasn’t. Using an old cliche, but it’s amazing, the mask just slipped off.
I instantly thought, duck me, and started desperately looking for the exits.
An unexpected person turning up facilitated my escape (without harm), but duck me, I’ve never forgotten it.

I think this has been one of your best worded responses on here because it’s like I light flick in my head which has made me completely understand where you’re coming from and why you’re struggling.

I think your suggestion that it’s been a case of misremembering or that you put on the other post about it being exaggerated I think is a fair assumption. I can understand where your doubt it coming from.

I think the other side of the coin is that at the time, there was a conversation the results were off, they were sent for further testing, but as the baby recovered, they never took it further. Also think there is some discussion (hopefully covered in court) that interpreting the results is quite specialised.
Again, I still don’t think they suspected foul play. I reckon they thought it was an accident and it’s possible although whispers were surrounding her at this point, those dealing with the insulin babies didn’t know the whispers or concerns at the time. It’s only been when senior members finally listened, that’s when they’ve gone back and joined the dots.

I’d like to think, as you say, that if I was in the shoes of many of these practitioners or senior leaders that I would have taken concerns seriously and made a connection sooner, you’d think it would be obvious but I guess that’s the benefit of hindsight.

I do understand why you have doubt based on this though. Thank you for explaining your view

I think this. So far the only times we've seen LL crying is when it's something that affects her personally. She didn't cry when the mother gave a statement, just 'turned to look' at her (I forget the exact words, but it was there in the court notes). Imagine being visibly fine when parents are talking about their dead children, then starting to cry when you're recalling being arrested in your pyjamas. It's not a good look.

I also think you need to make a distinction between a statement designed to get sympathy vs. evidence that she might not be guilty. What I mean is: telling the court you were upset and traumatised by your arrest says nothing about guilt or innocence. An innocent woman would be frightened by the idea of going to prison - but so would a guilty one. It just doesn't mean anything.

Just did a very quick search of the NMC and it's incredibly vague with what's against her name and pin. Obviously the bulk will be based on the outcome of the criminal investigation but at the minute she's just showing as suspended, and not on the register but that will only be due to the amount of time that's elapsed.

I may have misremembered but I don’t think senior hospital staff, Dr Gibbs, Dr Jayaram, Dr Brearey were aware of the insulin results. So I don’t think even the senior staff just ignored it. They ‘just’ ignored the consultants saying they were concerned about unexpected collapses/deaths and Lucy always being there. That should have been enough for them to investigate fully and then they would have found some of the evidence that has now come out.

So whilst I think senior staff failed, I don’t think they were in possession of concrete evidence like the insulin results and just ignored it.

That isn't what I meant, this person was clearly being rude. I'm not interested in sharing names or posts, they're all available and I cba to argue with anyone in particular.
This thread has had its moments but lately has been mostly civil and respectful, so it feels like a huge step backwards.
Anyway, it's not that deep, just an observation while catching up this morning.

Thing is, all the people who are saying “it’s only circumstantial evidence” well, circumstantial evidence is evidence. If members of my family kept dropping dead in the presence of Les Dennis across a period of 6 months I’d have some pretty bleeping big questions for Les Dennis. I wouldn’t just brush it off as a coincidence that I’d lost 3 aunts, a cat and my grandfather when Les came to my house. Oooh my gut says it’s Les Dennis but let’s invite him over one last time to see if he knocks off anyone else.

Edit: On a more serious note I genuinely believe she is guilty. I’ve always had the “gut” feeling but that means nothing, the more this trial has gone on the more sickened I’ve become.
